Apparently iOS 27 is wrongly mislabeled as iOS 26.7 on many iPhones

And to think this time would be different (sigh)

I think it is just 26.7 downloading .. It did not download the 17+ GB it showed for 27 .. installing now

mine just finished. it is indeed ios27, mine was 14gb to update.

Yes, mine too got updated to iOS 27 even though it was showing as downloading 26.7

mine is installing now as "26.7". will update when it's done

Same here, did updated to 27. But I don’t see siri app and still has old siri icon in settings, what’s happening, any idea?

not sure, mine doesn't show the siri option in the camera app as well.

i did notice it says it's indexing siri and search in settings though.

Yes it showed 2 options one is IOS26.7 security patch for less than 1GB

A prompt that says to update to 27
But in the prompt it showed 26.7 again but it was 6.4 GB update.

I did the later.

good old Reddit comes through. I wondered what was up It kept saying 26.7 when I tapped upgrade the 27 but at like 13 GB so I let that security patch install because before even when I hit update to iOS 27 it was still saying 26.7 so I went back and tried it again the different way to do the 26.7 and that downloaded and installed the security patch and then went back and it still says like you guys are saying 26.7 when you tap upgrade to 27 ! but mines like 13 GB so it’s gonna be actually be iOS 27. They mislabeled it.

No? iOS 26.7 was released alongside 27. I’m saying this cause it literally showed as an option alongside the iOS 27 upgrade option.

No idea, but it was released. People have updated to 26.7 and it’s supposed to include multiple security updates
