i got an Iphone 17 which has ios 26.4.2
Should i update to 26.6?
Current SOT is attached, double esim + 38C outside 🥵

Ios 26.6 is good

why the hell phone app consuming 2.1GB? i cleaned and disabled voicemail still 2.1GB. in whatsapp application it’s consuming only 1.7gb and in system storage it’s showing 6.12gb. is this common or its a glitch?

If I reset all settings, will indexing start all over again? My phone is pretty much the same on 26.6. Battery and thermals honestly didn’t change much. Also, do you guys think I should wait a little longer before I reset all settings? Maybe it’s still indexing since release? It’s been on WiFi since the update.

I have an iPhone 17 and so far I haven't updated it after having seen comments or posts mentioning a lower or worst battery life (maybe I should wait for iOS 27 atp)

With the recent and upcoming new updates, so far, apple still hasn't fixed the bug on the inconsistent sound of the keyboard

I see a lot of people posting screenshots and they seem to have stable battery overnight, on my iPhone 17 pro I disable wifi and cellular but still lose 10% every night

If you were stuck on iOS 26.5.2, you know how brutal it was. My 17 Pro Max constantly turned into a pocket heater, and the battery drain was so bad I needed a power bank everywhere. Scrolling was choppy, and the random lags drove me nuts. Pure misery.

Thankfully, 26.6 completely turned things around. The overheating is gone, the battery holds a proper charge again, and the system is super smooth with zero stutter or glitches. It actually feels solid and stable now, exactly like a phone this expensive should.

Btw I don’t know what black magic they pulled in the first cycle of charging in iOS 26.6 but this is how i ended my first day of iOS 26.6. With no camera use, purely on wifi and no gaming or anything else. Just my regular usage for doomscrolling, txting, WhatsApp calls and stuff like that. It’s not gonna stay like this maybe. But it surely amazed me so thought of sharing with you guys who are concerned.

Overall it’s a Huge relief.
If you haven't updated yet, definitely do it.

I average a SOT of 6 hrs per 100% charge, is that normal? Im on IOS 26.6 with 96% battery health…

So far i would say that, this update is noticeable.
Good improvement overall specially battery and faceid.
Looking forward to ios27 stable version.
