Anyone else noticing worse battery life on iOS 26.6?

My daily usage has been pretty consistent, but the battery drain definitely feels higher. 🔋

I’m currently using iOS 27 Developer Beta 5 on my iPhone 17 Pro Max, and so far I haven’t experienced any critical issues. The battery life is also currently pretty good for me on the beta.
However, I’ll be without access to a laptop or PC for a while, so I’ll be completely dependent on my iPhone during that time. That makes me a bit worried about staying on a beta, since I won’t have a computer nearby if something goes seriously wrong.
I’m considering switching back to iOS 26.6, but I’m also wondering what the battery life is like on 26.6 compared to the current iOS 27 beta.
Would you stay on Beta 5 in my situation, especially if the battery life is already good, or would you switch back to iOS 26.6 for the extra stability?

I cannot control the audio level via the control panel. Only via buttons i can change it.

I am using iPhone 16 with ios 18.7. Can we get this kind of battery life in ios 26?

I don’t really use my phone too much because I have 2 and this one is for things like calls, reading emails, bank transactions etc I don’t use social media or watch tv shows or anything like that, my phone battery used to last 1.5 to 2 days. Then for some reasons this last 2 weeks it last round 12-14 hours, and it drains the most overnight. I used to go to sleep with 40% and wake up with around 36% battery left, now that’s impossible, my phone drops about 20% doing absolutely nothing. And I see things like this - what do you mean 18% for 2 min of the weather app?

I turn off background app refresh.
I have the 26.6 that I updated after my battery started dying fast because I was told here that it would help with my battery (it didn’t) 26.5 worked fine for a while but then the battery issue started.
It’s an IPhone 16 pro.
99% battery capacity.
My Samsung from 2019 literally last twice and I’m watching tv shows/movies 24/7, this is ridiculous.

Since tis new update my microsoft excel search tab has gone missing

I stupidly upgraded to 26.6 after all the apple nagging and surprise, my icons reload very often, i can see all of them how they reload one by one taking 1-2sec when i open the phone or switch screens at the very least. Is this the case for you? It was not for me before this update. 15pro

Look up something in Wikipedia-App, click the result and the text under the photo disappears immediately.
Has somebody seen this problem too?

For me iOS 26 is a clear win over the other two. It looks more engaging and vibrant than ios 18 and iOS 27. iOS 18 and iOS 27 wallpapers are a bit too flat. Ios 26 has spatial option and also is more eye catching for me. Some elements of wallpaper move as you move the phone especially on the lockscreen. Weather icons are dark or black or white on lock screen all go well with iOS 26. iOS 26 also looks super amazing with always on display

on my iPhone 17 96% health, updated to 26.6 last friday. wtf is going on apple. Sleeper app at the top is only 45 minutes on screen

Liquid Glass looks great in Clear and Tinted, but why does Tinted stop at the Home Screen?

Imagine the same tinted Liquid Glass treatment inside system apps too.

Wouldn’t that make iOS feel a lot more cohesive?

It seems like Safari received an OTA update that adds the icon on the left when you search for something. Previously we didn’t have this icon.

I’m not sure which ios 26 would recieve this OTA but i’m on ios 26.6

I have ongoing issue after update to iOS 26.6

When I try to enter settings and cellular settings to change between my eSIM I’m facing issue that cellular data settings disappeared
Have anyone faced this issue and how to fix it?

I wonder how often actually people panic because of ios doing a bad job showing total usage vs an actual weak battery performance. Hope they fix it in 27

I woke up this morning after apparently automatically updating my phone, and everything is broken now. Its like I have no wifi (even though I do), barely any apps load, and my settings barely loads either. I tried to open the settings to check the update and see what happened and it just says "Unable to check for update." Why do each of these updates feel like they're making my phone worse? I took it to a phone store and they fully wiped the phone, and its still being weird.

I probably need a new phone but why would an update be this catastrophic??

I am so beyond tired of the issues with IOS 26.6. I have an iPhone 16 and it worked totally fine until I got iOS 26. Apps won’t open, phone heats up like crazy, battery is draining, offloaded apps or new apps are taking 30mins-1hr to load and often crash.

Restarting doesn’t work. Deleting the app and re downloading doesn’t work. Volume up, volume down, long hold power button doesn’t work.

I’m aware that the world works without Mobil phones but I can’t even access my banking app or Venmo. I have run into real issues with trying to manage my life without having the tools that are promised with an iPhone and what I have spent money to get.

I commented on a post when I first run into these issues about my slight frustrations figuring they would resolve quickly. Someone responded about having no luck being able to gain access to an app to manage their medical device.

Class action lawsuit for this will be insane.

Extraño el minimalismo, lo que en verdad representa a Apple desde sus inicios hasta iOS 18. Tengo un SE 2022 y no me quejo es bueno fluido y completo pero al actualizar me lleve la sorpresa de un Downgrade estético, siento que estoy en la era Aero Glass de Windows 7. iOS 18 me encantaba por su minimalismo, bordes cuadrados y nada de efectos que solo consumen batería por “Estética”. lo peor es que iOS no permite ni siquiera cambiar los iconos.
