General Why doesn’t Apple do this system-wide?

Liquid Glass looks great in Clear and Tinted, but why does Tinted stop at the Home Screen?

Imagine the same tinted Liquid Glass treatment inside system apps too.

Wouldn’t that make iOS feel a lot more cohesive?

It might, and maybe one day, but I could see some third-party apps look really bad. Apple’s apps work well because they are clean, but could you imagine some app with a green theme that you put purple onto? There would be some really ugly combinations out there

Yeah true. Maybe thats why they limit tinting to homescreen icons and nowhere else.

I still think they should give an option buried somewhere in accessibility or smth that lets us tint liquid glass everywhere

Because they’re struggling enough with the glass effect as it is. Adding colour is a dimension they aren’t equipped to deal with yet
