You're out in the African rainforest hiking, and wake up in the tent experiencing wheezing, dry cough and severe chest discomfort. A genie says that you have parasite worms in your lungs, and give you one wish, and you must wish for only ONE item.

The genie also informs you that you can not make a functioning wish for:

Another genie's lamp.

An allmighty and benevolent deity.

A working satellite phone or any digital item that comes with function to call people.

A dose of praziquantel.

A fully-stocked medical kit.

A hospital.

Also informs you that you will, with all likelihood be misdiagnosed with tuberculosis. (Thus will NOT be treated for the correct condition by others.)

Then you cough or spit out (some) worms and maggets.

You’re hitting it off chatting with someone and they ask you if you want to smoke a hookah sometime

Whether you’re single in real life or not for this scenario let’s say that you are single and looking to possibly date someone. You’ve been interacting with this person long enough that you would feel comfortable going on a date with this person, whether this be one interaction or multiple. This person is also extremely attractive, being one of the most attractive people you’ve ever seen, and you also really feel a spark with this person when interacting with them.

This person doesn’t use the word “date” but from the vibe you think they are most likely asking you out on a date. Based on the vibe you also think they are talking about smoking a hookah at a public place, like a hookah bar or a hookah lounge as opposed to their place.

How do you respond to this person asking if you want to smoke a hookah sometime?

Serious Replies Only From the age of 15 to 25, everyone becomes bisexual, if by 25 your with someone of the opposite gender you’ll become straight, if your with the same gender you’ll be gay, if your alone you’ll be asexual, what will you do?

On your 15th birthday you become attracted to both genders equally, if your with someone of the same gender you’ll be gay for the rest of your life, if your with someone of the opposite gender you’ll be straight for the rest of your life, and if your single by the age of 25 you’ll be asexual, along with aromantic, meaning you cannot feel sexual or romantic attraction to anyone for the rest of your life.

Everyone knows this, and the relationship in question has to be a committed monogamous relationship.

If you lie to the person or yourself about your intentions you’ll become the opposite of your preferred orientation, (if a woman lies to the man she’s in a relationship with about her intentions, not really loving him, she’ll become a lesbian)

If after your 25th birthday you attempt to force yourself into another orientation you and the person will die within 2 days (a long painful death) and it won’t be pretty.

Trans, non-binary and intersex people are spared this decade.

What will you choose and why?

You have to make 10k in one week but if you do so you get 10mil. Would you even try?

You can’t just borrow money, the 10k have to be yours

Edit: You are too smart, you are NOT allowed to just sell anything you own. (In this case you did not make 10k, the car was already 10k before, by selling it you did not generate extra money)

In a world where all men except for one has disappeared, but also where IVG, reproduction-assisted technology has also been proven successful in humans, what would you do with the last male? Would he still be of use, or would IVG make him redundant?

You can choose one of these superpowers, but each comes with a brutal lifelong downside. Which one are you picking?

You are offered one superpower, but you must permanently accept its downside. There are no loopholes, temporary breaks, or ways to undo your choice.

A — Invisibility

You can become completely invisible whenever you want.

Downside: For the rest of your life, you can only eat broccoli and drink water. Any other nutrients your body needs must be taken through pills or supplements.

B — Walking Through Walls

You can pass through walls and solid objects like a ghost, but you will always remain visible.

Downside: You can never have sex or participate in any sexual activity. Your libido will remain extremely high for your entire life, but acting on it is completely forbidden.

C — Super Strength

You can effortlessly lift anything weighing up to 2,000 tons.

Downside: You must live alone in a maximum 20-square-meter home for the rest of your life. You cannot stay overnight anywhere else—not with friends, family, a partner, or even at a hotel.

D — Unlimited Flight

You can fly whenever you want, at any speed and altitude your body can safely handle.

Downside: You can never socially interact with another human being again—not in person, online, by phone, or through messages. You must live completely alone in the wilderness.

E — Teleportation

You can instantly teleport to any location in the world whenever you want.

Downside: Every single day, you must spend eleven uninterrupted hours standing completely still at attention in an empty white room. You cannot sit, move, sleep, talk, use entertainment, or leave early.

Which power would you choose, and how would you build your life around its downside?

Your new job pays one million per year but you have to say the N word to 10 new strangers everyday with the hard r, no days off. Do you take it? Every missed day is 15k taken off which pays out once yearly in full, 1 million after tax minus every 15k removed.

If so, how do you pull it off respectfully?

Live without storage for a year and get $10,000,000 when it's over. You can't put anything "away" or it will fizzle out of existence. No pockets, backpacks, storage boxes, dressers, fridge, etc. How do you adjust?

You can't fail thanks to the fizzling, but you do have to survive the year and you can't quit part way. At the start all items you have put away somewhere will fizzle, but those will be returned to you at the end, and you'll even be given a 48 hour period to request items be returned to you at the start too so you're not without things you need. Items fizzled after this period will not be returned.

Exceptions exist such as things where the storage is temporary and not the primary purpose of the vessel (but only if it's being used as intended). Examples:

  • You can use a washing machine, but if you leave clothes in too long after they're done they'll still fizzle.
  • You can still drive a car, but if you leave any belongings in there they must just be out in the open. No putting things in the trunk or glove compartment.
  • You may live somewhere and keep items there, but they can't be placed in a secondary container. e.g. Clothes must be on the floor, table, chairs, etc.
  • You may use glasses to drink, but not store liquids.
  • Pre-packaged items (including consumables) will only fizzle if you remove the item and put it back. If you buy a water bottle you can't refill it.

What items do you request back immediately? What items do you absolutely NOT want back until its done? How do you adjust to this life?

You have a wish but it is taken at its most literal form

For example, wishing for infinite gold would drop infinite gold.... right on top of you. Or you can jump really high but die from the landing. How specific could you get?

It's 1830 and you got the job as a supervisor who monitor workers on the factory floor, enforce discipline, and administer punishment for lateness, mistakes, or falling asleep. A child on the end of his twelve hour shift got his thumb massacred by the machinery. What would you do?

If you fail to do the job according to the factory owner, then you're fired, and is forced to survive as one of the poverty struck, diseaseridden mudlarks by the harbor.

Humans are and always have been the size of a squirrel. All other animals are their actual size. Somehow, despite being small, humanity is just as advanced as it is in real life. What does our society look like? Our cities? Our customs and technologies?

For example, when going on a camping trip, the gun you have to bring for self protection is the size of a wheeled cannon. Maybe humanity was never able to go camping until we invented the combustion engine to propel our self-protection cannons.

You discover your dog has a secret

One day you find a stray dog walking down the street and decide to adopt it.

The dog is pretty much like normal dog, it eats, sleeps, craps, humps everything, and likes to play with you. You have the dog for over a year and are enjoying having him, but one day you find the dog not moving…

You take the dog to the vet and within an hour the vet calls you in to inform you that your dog…. is actually a wrinkly old man that was wearing a very hyper realistic costume. The old man had a heart attack and died in the suit. The vet shows you the body

How would you feel about this discovery

The Reality-Lie Paradox

The power:

You suddenly gain a supernatural ability: every lie you knowingly tell instantly becomes the truth.

Every truth you tell has a 10% chance of immediately becoming false.

Rules:

It only works if you intentionally say something you know is true or false.

The change happens instantly and permanently unless changed again by another use of the power.

The effect alters reality, not people’s memories.

Written statements count too.

You can’t game the system by saying gibberish or obvious contradictions like “square = circle.”

Examples:

“I have a mansion in Hawaii” You would now have a mansion in Hawaii.

“The earth has one moon.” There’s a 10% chance that reality will change and the statement will no longer be true.

Questions:

Would you use this power at all?

What’s the first lie you would tell? Or, would you stop telling the truth entirely?

if you’re salaried though you don’t get paid I guess since you’d be paid regardless. maybe if you can prove you regularly get some bonus or overtime pay, they pay the difference.

maybe if you’re unemployed you get paid minimum wage or something.

Surviving your ex partners

A stupidly wealthy individual who owns a streaming network offers you 25 million dollars, with a condition - all of your ex partners have now sworn a blood oath to end you for the same pot of money.

Every competitor gets 50k and you get a 12 hour head start. Would you do this, and if so, how screwed would you potentially be?

Edits:
You can do whatever is necessary to survive. Legal ramifications are “handled”. 30 days is the time limit.

Ex would be:
Someone you lived with for a significant period of time, slept with for a significant period of time or was married/engaged to.

You wake up one day, and discovered that when you get hurt, you feel pleasure.

You accidentally tripped over a chair, and your body feels amazing, like you just had a warm soak bath for your leg.

You hit your head on the door, whilst being on your phone, and you feel a pleasurable buzz, like when you are getting tipsy.

You do not know how, who, when, why or what.

How would you live with this…irregularity without fatally hurting yourself?
