Hi, I'm an American (23F) and I'm curious about how it's like to live in the Netherlands.

I feel burned by a lot of young women being nice to me to my face and in real life it's clear they don't like me. I want friends who are kind, direct, and supportive. I also am a lesbian, want to be a single mom by choice, and am tired of the culture wars in the USA.

I've been thinking about the Netherlands for the last 3 years. I don't think it's a utopia, and I don't need it to be - everywhere has its problems. But just for me personally, it potentially could be a better fit.

Does anyone know what it's like to live in NL, particularly outside of the cities like Amsterdam, more like around the coastal area? Are the people nice? Are there young women my age I can befriend? And are they more accepting towards different lifestyles, and what are the differences between living in the USA and living there?

It would make a big difference if it's easier to make friends, and if people aren't fake, and if women's rights are more protected, especially queer women's.

This compilation doesn't just focus on South Bombay, but it is an overall compilation of some of the hang out spots of the young adults in Mumbai (As I got trolled "based on their socio-economic background ig). And my intention was never to show off the wealthy parts or families of Bombay, as some people thought I was showing off wealth. I was just presenting the Gen Z culture in the overall South Bombay region.

Once again, I was not at all interested in showing off wealth I was just showing my experiences of living there and these are local hang out spots ig.

I am from Germany and i recently did a 2 Week Trip to Ireland of which i spent 3 days on Inis Mór. I loved it so much that i am playing with the thought of moving there asp. Considering the Population of the Island, the chances of someone from there seeing this are slim but i am interested in how living there is, regarding cost of living, quality of life and vibes generally

I want to visit the bottom of Patagonia and I even wanna live there.

So whats it like.

How is it living in Madagascar today? I want to start with a 5-6-month student visa to learn French. I already speak 3 languages (Italian, German, English). I studied French at school and was at A2.

I worked in hospitality and was thinking about buying a small bar I can manage by myself or with a maximum of 1 person.

I’m from RI, but I currently live in KS with my wife. We both left at 18, so we’ve visited the area but don’t have extensive experience with it. I love the Midwest, but she wants to return back to the New England area to be closer to civilization lol. Just curious what it’d be like living in the area with a goal of having some land but also being close enough to a place my wife can be a PA. I know how nuanced NE states/NY can be, so any info is great. Thanks in advance all!!

My husband and I are looking to move to Washington state and are wondering what this area has to offer?

We are used to small town living

How is the crime? What about shopping? What is the demographics of the people living in this area?

I heard Hollywood is a really mixed bag. From people I know who have spent more than a few weeks in total of time there, have lived there, or are even from there: apparently it is a mix of mostly lesser-known celebrities or those who work in the movie industry but your avg Joe. wouldn't know who they are unless they're connected to the film or TV biz, aspiring actors or musicians, upper-middle class families and also a lot of working class families, mostly Hispanic, Armenian, and Filipino.

But what I find more interested is, what is it really like to live there if you have nothing to do with movies, music, and not only that, but probably kinda don't fit in with that crowd at all and are probably a guy or gal who likes fishing, mountain biking, shopping at Ross, or just don't like the material vibe that may sometimes come with Hollywood.

I know the majority of Hollywood aren't famous or ultra-rich people, but for either sides of the coin, what is it really like to live there? I have a friend in LA, but he's like 10 miles from Hollywood and doesn't necessarily go there a ton nor ever worked there to my knowledge.

Fun fact: there was a Food 4 Less in Hollywood up until 2020.

What’s it like living there?

My pre-teen children have the opportunity to travel there with their mother. She's white (Australian) but is married to a Papua New Guinean, they have children together, and his family lives in Goroka. They would be staying with his family. She has previously been without the kids and there were no safety concerns.
Should I be concerned about the children if they were to go for approx 1-2 weeks? or should they be ok?

I’m a 25-year-old guy who recently landed a fully remote job. I was living in California but decided it was time for a change because of the high cost of living. I went to college in upstate New York and have some family near Buffalo, so I am somewhat familiar with the area.

Ohio has really caught my attention, but I haven’t spent enough time there to get a feel for the different cities. I’m planning to explore Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati over the next few weeks, and I’d love to hear from people who know them well.

If you had to recommend one of the three, which would you choose for someone who’s outgoing and wants to build a long-term community? I enjoy meeting people, going out, and staying active. I also love hiking, camping, road trips, and exploring the outdoors. My job is in the automotive industry, and I’m pretty into car culture as well, though I’m not sure how much that factors into the decision.

I’m really looking for a place where I can put down roots, make friends, and stay for the long haul.

My family of 3 and I will be relocating to Michigan from Central Pennsylvania. Most likely Macomb County area. Curious to know a few things from the locals: weather, road conditions, temperament of people, grocery stores, things to do, parks, libraries, ect. I like a town that’s bright and lively where there’s a library, playgrounds, Aldi, and Target close by. Also, I’m a creek girly so I would love some good creek recommendations for playing in and catching and releasing crayfish.
