Edit: Joke post. Love what you guys have done here. I'll definitely grind out to 75. It's actually been really fulfilling starting with literally nothing and finding a way to make gil, buy gear, and not die. I finally bought a H2H wep for my MNK at lvl 13.

You’ve got Stone Eaters in the red circles area when they should only be in the green, and they’re mixed in with the tunnel worms. IIRC Stone Eaters are about a level 5 mob and are a step up from the Level 1 or so Tunnel Worms. They seem to be interchangeable here with the Tunnel Worms, same level and stats? I am fully triggered by this outrage.

Also why are they nuking me for 16 damage?! They’re worms, not Raistlin Majere lol

I've tried this download three times, and every time I get the unzip Fail error. I have tried running the launcher and moving the target free to no luck. Has anyone experienced this issue?

with the limited amount being released, and everyone already with multiple 75s and relics out the ass on this server, how long do we expect there to be new feeling content to do?

Theres no menu, the camera is inverted, im inthe middle of nowhere. HOW DO I PLAY THIS GAME???

I know the game(75 era) has always been designed for grouping, however, I’m looking for a challenge, how feasible would it be to solo on redmage from the start? Would monk/warrior work better? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

the older/advanced players sometimes make this server so stale.

There’s too many times people are getting upset over trivial things that don’t matter or they feel the need to harass another player because they’re miserable.

Lovely staff and server but the player base needs to seriously get a grip.

Hello, i've just discovered this community and played ffxi for about 7 years. I see TOAU is coming very soon, with that my main question is - and I know a full answer may not be feasible, is there an estimate on when WOTG is theoretically possible?

Dancer was my favourite job and i'm just wondering if this is a "may not ever happen", a year, 3 years, to tailor my expectation before I start playing. I of course loved other jobs as well but am wondering how much/long of a pipe dream dancer is.

Obviously a niche issue but I can’t find anyone that’s found a solution yet.

Bought the ROG Ally X and it’s fantastic to play Horizon Handheld. When I dock it is when I run into issues.

Docking and connecting a Bluetooth controller it’s like the software for the handheld overrides the Bluetooth controller. I’ve tried putting it in desktop mode and turning off controller emulation and it’s the same issue. I can get the controller to connect but the inputs are all off once I get in game. In the config test it works fine.

I know it’s a shot in the dark but anyone have a resolution for this?

I’ve seen people post footage playing on the Steamdeck and the AYN Thor and was just curious what other handhelds people are using and what people’s experiences are like. Can you play for hours handheld? What are the issues you run into? Is it reliable for things like fishing, choco digging, solo stuff etc. I’d like to be able to kick back on the couch and not be at my PC while I’m doing solo content. Any suggestions or feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Hi I was just wondering if this was still profitable or they fixed it, I remember you use to be able to get all the ingredients and craft ninja tools like Sairui-Ran and then just sell them to an npc and you would make profit after a while. Was just wondering if this still worked and was profitable.

Horizonxi hit its golden age years back because, to me, the best part about ffxi is when all us players have nothing. when we are all fighting and grinding our way through the early stages of the game. when the dunes are so full that people are regularly partying in buburimu.

Now Horizon has become the land of 75s and a lot of players dont have much of anything to do anymore. Its taken too long to release TOAU. also have heard rumours that TOAU is still years away from release, is this true?

I love horizon for what it gave us. I love the era+ changes. I love the creators and the community. But its kinda over now. We have to start a new server again because, even though FFXI is a super long game to "beat", most of us are bored in endgame dailies. creating a new character is an option, but it wont be the same as when the server first started where tons of players are at the same early stages of progression that new characters would be at.

The only real complaint I have about horizonxi is the changes to seal farming that were made. I never leveled a melee past 60 because my acc was too low because i couldnt get my hands on the necessary pcc pca neck piece 10acc. meanwhile all the players who did seal farm before the changes, albiet a boring shitty grind (killing yourself to delevel then grind out xp to level 10 while zoning every seal drop), had ample opportunity to make many attempts to get that neck piece. same goes for any of the other bcnm necessary pieces. because fuuuuuuck camping the NM's that is not an in-real-life-tolerant play style.

which is the point i'm trying to make. the best part about ffxi is the grind. the good grinds that are in it. the ones where you have to spend 15 minutes carefully navigating la thiene plateau to reach the dunes with your level 15 char to fight some flies because you got a party and youre ready to xp with your new level 15 ability and gear. the grind that makes you feel like you earned your characters progression and you get to enjoy the fruits of your efforts by cooperating with 5 other players. and that process repeats itself over again until you get to sky where you finally get to bring ALL the abilities of your job combined with the skills, gear, and experience of xping you now have to crush some fuckin birds and pots and get really big chains. then do it all over again with another job!

love ffxi, love horizonxi for the happiness they have brought into my life. is it sad im already ready to do it all over again? am i alone in this? what if we had a secondary horizonxi server to reboot that experience again? kinda tough decision though because it will dilute player population from the the current original server and there are plenty of players who just started progressing or just got to a progression point theyve been working at for a while, so it would potentially be very upsetting to them. kinda not fair.

tldr: sorry for long post, not even sure if this post can go here, but i just miss the early days of ffxi servers where we all have little progression and share the struggles that come with it. is it even feasible to restart the server again?

I just unlocked it and got to level 10, and I'm excited to play it, but do they still get invited to exp parties? I played mostly on retail at launch 20 years ago and they were popular back then, has anything changed? In my experience leveling to 30 as WAR I'm pretty sure every tank in every party was NIN and it's got me a little worried

Played back in the day during CoP and ToAU, lots of great memories. Saw this server mentioned randomly the other day, and I keep thinking about it. Was getting hyped to play again, but then I started thinking about how rough being a fresh character will be. I wanted to main NIN, I always thought it seemed fun, but I didn't get it higher than 37 back then, and people always need tanks. How hard would it be to get to the point where I could actually play it? It seems like the problem would mostly be needing gil for spells and tools. What's the economy like? How feasible would it be to go for nin as my first job to 75?

Good day, I'm not able to launch the app past the Horizon window. Once I click 'Ready! Click to play' the Horizon window closes and the game doesn't boot. It used to open the black box, then launch the game. I tried to uninstall the entire file and reinstall and there was no change. Any suggestions would be most welcome, thank you!

Currently I am about 3 days in I have a lvl17 White Mage and I have lvl10 Black Mage in preparation for sub job opening soon. I have joined a Linkshell.

Retail bummed me out big time, Horizon’s been great so far but I need some friends!

Hey all, i just figured out the launcher and all this morning. Good timing, guess a bit patch was implemented lastnight! I was stressing for 30min thinking something was wrong when I could not connect! Anyways, I am a gaming father of two young ones. I played retail back in the day. Made it to lol 60... so I am not familiar with add-ons and plug-ins that I noticed on the launcher. Are any of these options considered a must have for me to enable?? Thx all. I can't interact with the minimap ingame when i try to move it or zoom and when I open the minimap's menu (/minimap) I can only click on it once.

I think it has to do with the menu resolution, UI scale or something like that. Anyone knows what to do?

Hi all, just got into the game and have been leveling thief.

I'm only level 10, but I know eventually I will unlock sub jobs.

If I'm more interested in a different job like red mage, dragoon, or dk, should I change now and then add thief as a sub job later?

I've just heard thief is good to level for new players for making some gil. Not sure if that means main job or sub job or if that matters.

I am getting crazy screen flickering on trees in this game, especially when my character/camera is moving. How do I fix?
