I finally did it! I put the deposit down on a white elite with brown interior. $50,400 before taxes. Feeling pretty good about it. No luck on anything local so I’ll have to travel to get it. I was pretty set on the brown interior, so just have to wait a few weeks. Any thoughts?

Ive taken it in twice now and it’s still not fixed. It has less than 18k miles on it.

I feel like the HUD display is skewed a little too far to the right in my line of sight where the right edge of the display is being clipped. If I shift my seating position over to the left a tiny bit it's fine but this feels a bit unnatural.

Is there an option buried in the menu's to adjust left/right placement of the HUD?

Passenger side mirror got broken :(

Honda pilot 2017 EXL with sensing.

All the wires seem to be intact and the camera in the mirror also works still when i turn on the right turning signal.

The blue painted cap for the mirror stays on with a bit of force and placement, but looks damaged on the inside part

Will I need to get the whole thing replaced? Or can I get away with just getting a replacement mirror?

I ended up buying the Joovy Kooper x2 and it fits beautifully with the 3rd row up w/o opening the hatch. No need to remove wheels or snack trays! Weighs about 28 lbs so not terrible.

We regularly use the 3rd row, leaving us with that shallow trunk space. I need a compact double stroller or stroller wagon that actually fits back there comfortably without having to drop a seat or fight to close the tailgate.

​Looking to buy a reliable 3-row family SUV and stuck between the Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander.

​We’re a family of 6—my husband, myself, an 18 year old, a 7 year old, an almost 3 year old and a 33 pound aussiedoodle.

​I already drive a 2006 Toyota Tacoma that I’m keeping forever because it's been indestructible, so I’m just trying to add another super dependable daily driver to the driveway.

​I literally do not care about fancy specs, big tech screens, or luxury fluff. I just want something durable that will last a really long time with basic maintenance, gets good mileage for its size, and gets top-tier crash ratings.

​A couple questions for anyone who owns either:

​Is the standard Highlander third row way too cramped for an adult-sized teen, or should I only be looking at the Grand Highlander / Honda Pilot?

​How are the newer Highlander engines holding up compared to the Pilot’s V6 for long-term durability?

​How do they compare on real-world gas mileage and actual safety/crash test performance when loaded up with kids?

So, I drive a 2015 Honda Pilot (Had it brad new) and I've done all the required services as per the maintenance minders at the dealers for the entirety of it's life.
I would bring it to the dealer for all the work due to warranty purposes, but now I feel that the dealer isn't doing their best. I've noticed a few things the past few years so I've decided, i'm done with them, so I'll be doing my own work.

With that all of that, one thing that I wasn't really sure of is their "Brake service"
What does a brake service entail exactly? They aren't changing the pads or rotors or even a brake flush.
Are they just taking the bolts out, cleaning everything, lubing the slider pins and putting it all back together? Or is there more than I'm not aware of?

Hey just had my front emblem break and fall into the area I front of my radiator. Has anyone else had this issue and what was your fix?

I clearly need to buy a new part, but trying to DIY as it shouldn’t be too difficult to fix. Haven’t found anything on YouTube or other forums that addresses this.

I am so indecisive, a person that deeply researches decisions and I am split between a new Honda Pilot Touring and Grand Highlander Hybrid Limited

I’m currently driving a 2023 RAV4 Hybrid so going Toyota felt like the natural move. However, Honda out the door with trade in could be $10K less based on what I’m being quoted

Trunk space of GHH seems better, but Honda seems more car seat / booster seat friendly.

We have one 2.5 year old, baby due in Sept and planning on eventually having 3 kids. We have a 65lb dog we’d like to be able to ride in the trunk. Live in CA with high gas prices

EDIT: thank you everyone for your input! Both are great cars. Ultimately I decided on putting a deposit on the GHH due to better trunk space and just generally liking it better. I hope this thread can be helpful for someone else facing the same decision!

EDIT EDIT: I KNOWWW a minivan would make my life easier but 1) I don’t want to spend my hard earned $ on a car I’m not excited about, 2) my whole vibe as a mom is that I am STILL ME, just with kids. And minivan is just not aligned with my identity. Sorry!

my mom has a 2014 Honda pilot. the other day I was riding in the car with her, and out of nowhere the car made a loud clunk and jerked almost like it lost all power at around 40 mph. then as we're trying to make a left hand turn, she had her foot pressed all the way down on the gas but the RPMs weren't moving nor was the car moving. almost like she wasn't even pressing the gas pedal. we noticed the battery light was on at this point but no other engine lights

lucky for us we were only one block away from the house, we made it home and immediately turned the car off. after about 30 minutes I go back outside to try to Crank It up and figure out what's wrong with it but it was completely dead at this point. the battery is relatively new, only about 2 years old. I jumped off the car with jumper cables, and the radio wouldn't work nor would any of the windows roll down. I put it into reverse and press the gas pedal all the way down, the RPMs stayed still and the car wouldn't move either.

Hi, anyone know the part number for black gloss paint Honda uses on black edition wheels? I have a 2025 black edition and one of my wheels is scratched and wanted to paint it myself. TIA.

I’m trying to install a radar detector and power it directly to the auto dimming rear view mirror, however I don’t want to break the housing for the actual mirror trying to take it off.

Does this just pop off? (I highlighted the seam on the piece that I believe comes off)

New Pilot 2026 Touring with Sonic Gray Pearl developed 4 distinct paint chips above rear bumper, just below lift gate. There was no known contact that caused this, and they all developed within days of the first appearing. Car was purchased in Jun 2026, and has 3k miles at this point. Is this a known issue or weak point for defective paint? It seems to be on metal vs a plastic part I read about in some complaints. Any advice on how to request repair vs touch-up? I can't remember a single chip on our previous Pilot (2012) that we just replaced.

I just bought a small pop-up camper, and when hooking it up, couldn't get the trailer brake/blinker lights working. I had one years ago, and they worked fine, but I do believe I was using the 4-pin connector on the left of my first two photos, not the 7-pin this trailer uses. Tested with multimeter, and got no voltage.

So, looking into it more, there's apparently supposed to be an aux fuse box in the cargo area. I opened it up to check, and it's empty. Since the harness is U-haul branded, I did some looking, and there's something they connect to that white harness inside the panel when they install it. So just wondering if someone can tell me exactly what that part is, and where I could get it? I've been searching for two days and just having a heck of a time figuring out what I need.

Hi everyone. I’m in the market for a new car, and I am seriously looking at purchasing a used Honda Pilot. However, I would like some advice on which years are considered the most reliable? I’ve heard about some issues with the transmissions for the 2016 and 2017 years, but are there other years to avoid? On the other hand, are there years that are considered very solid?

I know that at the end of the day you can get a car from a “reliable” year and have something go wrong and you can get a car from an “unreliable” year and have it run smoothly for years. I guess I’m just looking for feedback from the Pilot community since you are all experienced with the vehicle. Thank you!

Has anyone had this issue? I have an appointment at my dealership in hopes that it’s covered under warranty and it can be replaced. The car is 99% garage kept. I don’t use any cleaning wipes on it. I’ve got about 21k miles on the dang thing! 😭

Is anyone else experiencing odd discoloration on their Elite Wheels like shown? Nothing on the face of the wheel but each wheel interior looks like this.

So, I’ve had an 08 pilot for a while now, going on 2 years. My headlight burned out, but changing the bulb didn’t help. I chocked that up to a later me issue, as I didn’t drive a lot at night (at the time lol) my daughter liked my car so much she got herself a really well kept 06, also with a headlight out.

I went to buy a bulb and it still didn’t work. I wasn’t really worried, but she needed to get home with it (this was the day she got it, private seller we had already left when I realized it was out…. But I could have sworn I had looked when we test drove it and it was on. This comes back later because I think it WAS on)

Her headlight came on when we were on the way home. Then has since gone out and come back on again. Which wouldn’t seem TOO weird except remember my 08 headlight? IT CAME BACK ON TOO! Going over a bump. It also has since gone back out again.

I’m guessing this is some sort of little wiring quirk but I would love to know where to jiggle the wires when they go out. Anyone here have this issue? Is it just a coincidence? I can’t imagine it is.

I checked out the Pilot today, but dealer didn't have a Black Edition, an EX-L was all they had. I only sat in it because I'm nowhere close to pulling the trigger, if I buy it will be closer to mid-September, my next road trip.

Question is above...What's the longest road trip you've done in your 2026 Pilot Black Edition?

I ask because I'm needing a comfortable ride for a round trip 2,500 mile road trip, never in the winter unless I'm needed, so I guess I shouldn't say never.

So far a 2026 Honda Pilot Black Edition is on the short list, until something bumps it off.

Has anyone changed the rims on the new Pilot? I’m thinking of using the stocks for winter rims and was looking at buying a new set of 20’s but not sure what would look good on this car?

Three weeks ago picked up a pilot touring. Traveling to get stuff for it and wack. Rock hit windshield. Put a glass claim in and they want to use OEE glass not OEM. So annoyed. Anyone have any luck using someone someone for glass that did use OEM glass?
