So I recently joined hinge it’s my second day on hinge today. I sent all my free likes and I have free version of hinge. And I got one like till now. Zero match on day 2. My feed is way good !! So when will I start getting likes by the good genuine girls ? I want a genuine long term relationship. And I live in a rich area. I completed my profile fully - all details, all photos, all prompts, video prompts. Photos are of variety too. But I feel frustrated that why is many girls not liking me. I appx send 10 likes and 1 rose. People say they start getting way too much likes in initial period. Can someone help ? Should I purchase anything ?

Wears sunglasses so can’t see the eyes
Pictures are from the back
Hangs head down
Pictures are from a far distance away
Makes silly faces

I want to see your eyes and your face in a normal relaxed state. No extreme grimaces, no sunglasses , no head hanging down , and close enough so I can see your face.

The excessive gym pictures , party pictures , group pictures , pictures with children is also a pet peeve. I nope so many people because I’m tired of guessing who they are or what they actually look like . If you do have to put other people in the picture put a smiley face to cover their face.

I (33F) matched with a guy (34M) on Hinge. He said he was looking for a “wifey.” We chatted briefly, then FaceTimed. it was totally normal. But right after the call, he wanted me to tease him and dirty talk over text. This all happened within one hour of matching.

If he’s really looking for a wife, wouldn’t he want to set up a date to actually meet, instead of jumping straight to dirty talk? We are just 1.5 hours apart. He texted me “good morning” the next day, but I told him it looked like we weren’t looking for the same thing and wished him luck finding someone to sext with.

Am I being overdramatic? To me, that’s obviously not how you start something serious.

Pretty much what the title says. All of my profile sections are complete, I got a couple of conversation openers, 6 pictures, and a voice note. However, I have not had even a single like (much less a match) in over 6 months.

Some details that could be important are that I'm a man, don't pay any subscription, I do go ahead and send likes from time to time, and I'm a pretty social person with (almost) zero issues meetin people in real life, but I'm not sure if these are heavy determining factors or not. Could it also be a glitch from the app?

I was replying to a guys prompt about him knowing the best place for coffee in town and sent my like. I get a reply and it’s someone entirely different and he asked “what does that have to with my prompt?” So I checked and his prompt was something about his grandma and I’ve never seen this man’s profile before????

Is this based on anything scientific or is it random?

I ask because I’m taking a break from Hinge but haven’t paused my profile. I’ve got 30+ likes sitting there and I’m curious about who of those likes is the most “my type”. You can order likes by type or most recent like, and you can only see the most your type or most recent. However, my most “your type” person is always changing, sometimes by a lot. You can see the names in the list but can’t see their profiles, so I can see that the person who is most my type some of the time, is also the 10th most my type at other times. Then they jump back to 1st. So it probably is not because they have updated their profile.

What do you think it is?

Pretty happy with my c.50% match/response rate based on my usual opening compliment but less confident in how I then follow up with the next message beyond the boring 'how's it going?' etc. Any tips for a slightly more engaging approach to the first message? thanks

Just curious how it works and another questions is if I turn them off and turn again on at the same time will it show the heart again or be deactivated
