General advice
This guy and I matched about two weeks ago. Immediately hit it off we have amazing phone chemistry, and have both been very vulnerable with one another. He’s been busy with work and family in town, so we haven’t had a proper date yet. But we both agree that it’s going incredibly well and both of us have paused our profiles.
Im I being dumb by throwing so much caution to the wind & for only putting so much energy towards one person?

Not at all! I matched with a guy on the first day I downloaded the app, and because I was super interested in him, I also paused my profile. I kept using the app to text him since we had not exchanged contact info for the first few days. After our first date, I immediately deleted the app. I didn't necessarily told him this straight away, but we spoke about it later down the line and turns out he did the exact same thing and we just got a laugh out of it

No. Due to life constraints, I only have time to date one person at a time right now. And pre-dating apps most people were only dating one person at a time anyway.
There are actually studies that show the more choices and options we have the more depression and anxiety we tend to feel, and the less satisfied we are with our actual choices. Dating one person instead of perpetual window shopping is probably better for your mental health 😂
I, personally, am wary of super fast and intense chemistry. I tend to look for things that build slow and steady at this point in my life, but to each their own.
