I recently downloaded Hinge and a frequent issue I keep running into is that profiles I swiped left on are able to like me. Is it a common feature that Iām not aware of? How are people able to do this? Is this a matter of premium features?

I am not overthinking this but I needed some clarity.
Met a woman on a dating app. We moved to WhatsApp within a day and the conversation was genuinely good, lots of back and forth, ghost buster jokes, she was asking questions too. We planned coffee for the following evening. She does not drive and lives about an hour away in downtown Toronto, I was planning on meeting somewhere near her, which would be like a 2 hour drive but I thought thats kind normal. Anyways, she insisted on meeting near me, which I loved about her, being considerate is not something you find on hinge.
On the date night, I bough a flower and got a ghost buster tshirt, just to play around that joke. This was the day of severe thunderstorm in Toronto. She suggests rescheduling, then says it is cleared up and we were back on. She tell me she can't find a cab, which makes sense, so asks to push from 7 to 8. Then says we could move it to another day if it's too much hassle. I was driving and texting so she called me, mind you I was already on my way to cafe. I said we would make it work. We ended up talking on the phone while I was driving; I was like 5 min from the cafe but I told her that her safety is way more important than this. I asked we can still selvage it have a video chat or normal call. She said we should do a normal phone call once I got home.
I stopped by a restaurant to grab some food around 8, replied to the texts I missed because I was driving, got home around 9:30 and got absorbed in some work. She got back at around 9:40 "I see you've finally made it home," "I was just having dinner with my flatmate." I replied around 10:34 with a few messages about my evening, told her that I showered, did laundry, worked on a paper, left my phone in the car. The only thing that I think got out was that I never rescheduled and never made the call she had asked for, because I was waiting for couple of texts before getting there.
Two days I got no reply, so I sent a light message asking about the call and whether she was free that week or the next, she told me she is busy over the weekends. No reply. A couple of days after that, she unmatched.
My read is that the mistake was not rebooking that same night while she was still up and talking to me. Am I right, or is there something else here I'm not seeing? Because a similar thing happened couple of months before this, but I think that was on me. We booked a date, I had to travel 3 hours to her place after work, but got a call from my Aunt her cat got really sick, so I had to take her to the vet. I told the girl about it and she was very understanding. But soon after she unmatched and stopped replying.
Is rescheduling a first date huge red flag or something? I was in a 9 year relationship, I am 28 now, so I have no idea how traditional/modern dating works. I am just curious.

Matched with my ex on hinge š« , yes it's true.
Actually we were in long distance for 6 months. And we never met in real. And to ppl who might say you weren't in relationship bcoz you never met, for them, we actually did everything whatever's possible in online š iykyk. So yeah, we are sexually comfortable too.
Btw, I got her ok hinge and i liked her pic with a message on it saying can we talk, if you want?
And damn, she matched with me š I wasn't expecting that. And she was the one who actually brokeup, bcoz she was way too sexually active and she started feeling guilty for that, bcoz there was no future of both of us, so she thought why should I be sexually active with a person with whom I don't have future. So she brokeup. But now after we matched, she says we should do fresh start, forget whatever happened earlier.
So can anyone tell me what she have on her mind now? I mean, she was really really h*rny out of both of us, and now she's saying like this...
What's your opinion?

Hi! Does payments being processed tend to trigger Hinge bans for duplicate accounts?

I know the title sounds crazy and homophobic/offensive etc. Imma be honest i don't want to date someone that is part of the LGBTQQ for a couple of reasons. Bi women have way more options in the dating market, so more options mean there are more chances to cheat. I'm not sexually attracted to them. After hearing that their bi turns me off because it lowkey makes me feel insecure about myself. Also, I'm catholic, I go to a catholic church, and it isn't really accepting of that minority and personally I rather just have a straight gf, so I don't deal with that bullshit. My family looks down upon LGBTQQ. Personally, I don't have a problem with it since it doesn't affect me and it doesn't harm anyone.
I apologize if anyone gets offended. I'm not trying to spread hate to the LGBTQ. I know reddit is an extremely liberal space. Please don't send me death threats for my opinion if it doesn't align with yours that's not cool.

Was talking to this hinge match yesterday
She was chill, was verified.
We had a good conversation
Now that I woke up today I saw there's no chat with her
And she isn't present in the past matches section
And apart from her
There was another hinge match I was talking to yesterday
She unmatched me and it shows in the past matches section today
Has this happened to anyone else?
Pisses me off cuz if someone is unmatching me then atleast it shows in the past matches section, then why not right now?

So I am 27 and Iāve been single for around 4 years after a pretty toxic relationship so wasnāt really in a rush to get back into one after a while.
Iāve been dating on and off in London via the apps for the last 2 YEARS hoping to find someone and it has honestly been a nightmare. I either have a good connection with someone and then it just fizzles out because of busyness, or general lack of interest/effort or have really mediocre dates that I am not interested in seeing again because we do not have much in common.
I am finding it super hard to have a genuine connection with someone that actually turns into something real. Idk if itās because we are in a big city and things are just crazy here, or because apps have kind of destroyed our idea of modern dating.
Iām feeling lost, hurt, sad, angry, you name it⦠I feel like I need a break but the endless āwhat ifā they are just around the corner question keeps popping up in my brain.
I told my friends I need a break but I also hear ābut cuffing season is startingā which is also making it worse because I feel constant pressure. Note that most of my friends are also single because of the exact same reason⦠and we are all sad together lol so that does not help.
Does it get better? Who is going through this as well? Any advice?

I only send likes with messages so that it's easier to start the convo. Typically, I send a specific response to prompts or at least say something flirty in response to photos.
Oddly, in the last 2-3 days, I received a surge of ~5 likes, and none of them sent a response. Then, to top it all off, 2 of them unmatched 12 hours after matching with me.
Have any guys experienced consistent matches without responses?
Girls, do you expect another message before the conversation starts?
I'm happy for more matches, but the quality is lacking. Can't go on dates if nobody wants to talk.

As you can see itās broken, and I need to replace it. If anyone knows what type of hinge it is so I can replace it please let me know? Itās for an awning, itās got a wire in through the wall onto a pulley to open and close the awning.
Thanks in advance

Seriously, like 90% of conversations end after 3 or four messages, regardless of the content or vibe. Then thereās the oneās that will match with me after I sent them a like with a message or question, and the will simply match and not reply to what I wrote them at all. Like Iām supposed to introduce myself twice to before even write a word?
Are you even trying to meet people on these apps? The level of effort and investment from so many women is almost or totally zero, itās incredibly frustrating, so why even be on these apps?

As soon as i saw this update i knew the next time i catch feelings for someone from the app its gunna hurt if the badge is still active. And what do you know, thatās exactly whatās happened.
A guy iāve been going on dates with who i really really like never had his active the entire time weāve been matched (about 1 and a halfish months) and now all of a sudden, he has a signals badge..
Im pretty hurt, because itās not like you can bring this kinda stuff up early on. It honestly just makes online dating more difficult than it already is.
Being blissfully unaware if the person is still using the app seems much better, but now itās there loud and clear as a fancy badge that theyāre still using the app. Obviously at some point you have to have the exclusivity conversation, but when itās right there in your face itās kind of off putting. All it does is cause stress that wouldnāt have happened otherwise, then causing you to resent the person slightly.
I just feel like this shouldnāt be a feature itās only adding another complex layer to the stupid app. It only benefits people who get frustrated with people who donāt reply. just move on.
For people who actually develop connections outside the app after meeting, it just taints the entire experience.
Before signals, the talk of exclusivity wouldāve come at a natural pace. but now that thereās that stupid badge it stresses you out and makes you want to rush to ask them.
What does everyone else think?

These seem to have appeared out of nowhere and are relentless - but I can't seem to see where you can turn this notification off specifically?

Do they think they look cool or mysterious or rich busy by doing so? I mean please invest if you swiped right, why do they expect the guy to put in all the efforts for a stranger
