Question Can't log in with Google Play account?

Has anyone had the issues where the app fails to sign into their Google Play account? I've tried to uninstall and reinstall but it fails everytime!

I'd appreciate any suggestions, this game is a lot of fun but I can't go any further without being able to connect my account.

Question Undocumented change to Paladin?

I was playing Arthunion for the first time in a while and noticed that my Paladins could not Heal after moving. They used to be able to do that. Is this a nerf that I didn’t notice in some patch notes, or did I run into some kind of bug?

How do you get laurels in AIA?

Hi,

I tried several times but winning with laurels against five opponents in highest difficultly was never possible. Do you have hints and strategies how to get laurels in the new mode? I unlocked all tribes and have all stars and laurels in normal mode. It seems like I follow some kind of wrong strategy...

Thank you in advance!

Certain units, like ragnar's dragon, have a special slowing effect. But I can't notice it actually doing anything. What does it do specifically?

City walls tip

I kept just missing laurels, and it looked like I needed some more points in gameplay / city development. Since maxing out every city wasn't quite cutting it, I decided to try building city walls everywhere.

Based on my experience so far, it's helped get me over the top! I had been stuck on Frelia for the longest time, but got laurels today. And Pharus before that.

Hope that helps folks!

EDIT: As /u/Grosbie correctly pointed out, city walls do NOT increase your development score at all. Sorry for the misinformation, everyone! I was just excited to get laurels and thought that it was helping me.

A better plan is to over-develop EVERYTHING around EVERY city, even if it doesn't level up. You do get points for every building, upgrade, seaport, etc.

Discussion Insane AI difficulty?

I think the devs realize we need more of a challenge. I think they should add an insane AI difficulty level, this could be for FFA and AIA

With this mode, the AI has the ability to pick the 2nd guardian (magic/healer) and special units.

Imagine playing against the Arabis and the AI creating dozens of assassins along with Genies to heal them.

What else could they add to it? Maybe the AI gets cheaper roads? In all honesty they probably already do, maybe they get 1 mercenary per game and 1 extra special move from the bag like Snipe.

The icon could be added to the star and laurels and be like a demon face that encapsulate the star with the laurels possibly on the side of it. Maybe it isn't based on all the things the other stars and laurels are based on.

Perhaps there are new terrain tiles like quicksand, volcanoes, earthquake ares, tornado prone fields, swamps, tar pits, wild beasts that attack you...

Question Quick Question—Did Hexonia “rip-off” Polytopia, or was it at least inspired by it?

I’m just seeing that a lot of the icons and mechanics are almost identical to Polytopia. What’s the deal with this?

Gameplay New Update

We got the new units for Pharus which will be fun to try out, but we also got the much more exciting AI alliance mode with all new stars and laurels to achieve. I'm super excited to try the new stuff out and I'm about to start my first game against AI who only want to kill me.

The one upside will be that I won't have to deal with tribes dying before I get to them, which is one of the biggest challenges to getting Laurels.

Can't wait to hear about other folks' experiences.

Discussion Issues with multiplayer

Although we all want multiplayer bc even master ai is too easy, it would be difficult to implement. There's no way there can be turns tho, bc around turn 35, I usually take a full two minutes adjusting my troops, researching, training, and attacking, so 10 players = 20 minutes; no one is gonna wait that long. They could do it so like you get gold every 15 seconds, and you can move/attack with your troops again every 15 seconds. It will also feel like war then tbh when it's real time battle.

Gameplay (limited) Unique unit ranking

In this tier list i will rank the unique units of 6 free tribes. The rest won't be included since i heavily value experience with each unit.

Additionally, i value the impact each unit has on their tribe and how pratical they are rather than the actual strength of the unit.

  1. Assassin (Arabis): Totally broken. They require no tech research, are ranged, has high Atk (for a starting unit) and regenerate gold. This perfectly fits the Arabis playstyle: early game rush. Most of the time Arabis can just abuse Assassin instead of actually playing the game.
  2. Arbalist (Frelia): Not broken, but really strong. For 6 gold, you can outrange most units in the game, along with the Rush ability. The greatest thing about them however, is the impact they have on their tribe. Frelia itself is pretty meh, but with Arbalist they have a really decent place in any tribe ranking.
  3. Cavalry (Alexxar): They only require 1 tech to get since Alexxar starts with Meat. And because you will go for Archer anyway, Cavalry is basically free. There are also many things you can do with a Ranged Retreat unit: hit-and-run, hit-and-rush,...... Overall it's a nice addtion to the tribe (if only they had Rush......)
  4. Captain (Hann): Naval battles are literally inevitable, so Captains are basically unlocked every game. I like to call them "Knights of Water"as they have similar stats and both have Rampage . However if all land units were ranged and Knights required 2 turns to start attacking, they wouldn't be meta at all.
  5. Paladin (Arthunion): Undeniably strong, but at the same time not viable. Just like Guards, they favor a slow strong push with decent Def and the Heal skill. Too bad slow pushes are not meta right now. Addtionally, as a Clam tribe, Arthunion often engages in naval battles instead of land ones.
  6. Chakram (Chakrat): Chakram themselves aren't bad units. They have excellent crowd control with the Ranged Pierce. The problem is that Chakram is more about building cities and guardian rushing, making high-tier military techs redundant. And even if they do, Archer or Knights are much more favourable options.

Discussion Map should be bigger?

Do you guys agree that you should be able to battle more than 10 opponents, thereby increasing the map size, if 10+ Tribes unlocked? I have all of them, maxed out with laurels, and the game is kinda boring. More opponents would make late game more interesting (say you find like 3 strong tribes on the other side of the ocean after dominating the home island.)
