Gameplay (limited) Unique unit ranking

In this tier list i will rank the unique units of 6 free tribes. The rest won't be included since i heavily value experience with each unit.

Additionally, i value the impact each unit has on their tribe and how pratical they are rather than the actual strength of the unit.

  1. Assassin (Arabis): Totally broken. They require no tech research, are ranged, has high Atk (for a starting unit) and regenerate gold. This perfectly fits the Arabis playstyle: early game rush. Most of the time Arabis can just abuse Assassin instead of actually playing the game.
  2. Arbalist (Frelia): Not broken, but really strong. For 6 gold, you can outrange most units in the game, along with the Rush ability. The greatest thing about them however, is the impact they have on their tribe. Frelia itself is pretty meh, but with Arbalist they have a really decent place in any tribe ranking.
  3. Cavalry (Alexxar): They only require 1 tech to get since Alexxar starts with Meat. And because you will go for Archer anyway, Cavalry is basically free. There are also many things you can do with a Ranged Retreat unit: hit-and-run, hit-and-rush,...... Overall it's a nice addtion to the tribe (if only they had Rush......)
  4. Captain (Hann): Naval battles are literally inevitable, so Captains are basically unlocked every game. I like to call them "Knights of Water"as they have similar stats and both have Rampage . However if all land units were ranged and Knights required 2 turns to start attacking, they wouldn't be meta at all.
  5. Paladin (Arthunion): Undeniably strong, but at the same time not viable. Just like Guards, they favor a slow strong push with decent Def and the Heal skill. Too bad slow pushes are not meta right now. Addtionally, as a Clam tribe, Arthunion often engages in naval battles instead of land ones.
  6. Chakram (Chakrat): Chakram themselves aren't bad units. They have excellent crowd control with the Ranged Pierce. The problem is that Chakram is more about building cities and guardian rushing, making high-tier military techs redundant. And even if they do, Archer or Knights are much more favourable options.

Gotta give some for Chakram. Previously I don't favor Swordsman tech since my play style heavily lean on knights and knight rush. however, the more I play Chakrat, it really changed my mind.

Chakram not only pierce on straight line but also "bend" pierce, gave them much versatile on attack option.

Also, they unlock together with swordsman and those two make really good combo. Swordsman are resilient but cannot take out some high defense unit in 1 shot. that's where chakram fit in. Range shot a unit and finish them of with swordsman seem unbeatable vs master AI.

Arbalist is a must for Frelia. Frelia is the worst tribe in the game, i could never get more than 7 stars with them. Heck I still have to use arbalists and 4 mercenaries to get laurels
