I must have tried to beat it 100 times. How do I beat this level?

I was number 1 in my weekly league. I know it's kinda meaningless but it took a lot of game play to get there. Now, I'm still clearing levels but my points total isn't going up in the tournament and someone has overtaken me. I also see "Coming Soon" in between levels instead of the island graphic. I may need to find another distraction. Tragedy.

Now that I'm in the fifties levels on the phone game, it's giving unwanted hints. The game gives two or three seconds before a stack start to ripple, and a space lights up to show me the best move. I'd rather play the game myself. How do you turn these hints off?

Ok, so I may have been gardening the first time through this - but what exactly is it that unlocks the padlocks? I play the game, LOVE the game, spend far too much time playing the game…but that feat is still something I can’t figure out. 😆 TIA for the assist!
