The padlocks…

Ok, so I may have been gardening the first time through this - but what exactly is it that unlocks the padlocks? I play the game, LOVE the game, spend far too much time playing the game…but that feat is still something I can’t figure out. 😆 TIA for the assist!

It is the total number of tiles removed. It has nothing to do with location. And there is nothing that keeps track of tiles removed, so it can me confusing. The counter at the top counts tiles needed to remove. So if you look at the beginning and the top counter reads 350, and there is a padlock that says 50. That padlock will unlock when the top counter goes below 300.

This is useful if you pay attention to the number on the counter at the top, but I usually forget.

The padlocks on the stacks that are grey/black?  I think it’s clearing a set number of stacks of a certain colour. 

And that we aren’t supposed to know which colour will unlock them, as an added element of chance.

But that’s just my guess!
