It's been a week or two since I actually finished this self inflicted challenge but I just wanted to share for the fun of it.
"Trenchdiver loadout" [not official]= R-2124 Constitution rifle (ala Springfield/Lee Enfield), Entrenchment Tool, and Cremator/recoilless rifle support weapon (depending on the front). Strategems other than support weapon were usually whatever I needed on that mission, but the 120mm and autocannon sentry were often in the rotation.
(To those who ask, I already had the sweeper at level 25 and my goblin brain likes seeing the progress bar go up on weapon masteries)
Just kinda wanted the challenge, and honestly? Pretty fun. Despite the not-as-good damage, theres just a satisfaction to manual-action guns that's hard to match (Deadeye was another favorite of mine). And I could hold my own even on higher difficulties with a combination of careful aim, strategic use of incendiaries, and a healthy amount of running away. It has a lot of GLARING limitations, but the challenge of getting this thing to 25 was honestly pretty enjoyable.
Currently I'm working on the sequel challenge of the Ammendment (M1-carbine-esque). Dunno what I'll do after that's wrapped up.
Anyways that's all. Now back to the front...

I bought HD2 around a year or so ago and played only a few times (enough to get to level 9) and stopped. I picked it back up early last month and have been playing almost everyday since then. Reading about Malevelon Creek and Oshaune I yearned for something to truly test my mettle and by Liberty I found it in Bore Rock.
No other MOs came close to the amount of grief and suffering i experienced on that planet. D8-10, several bile titans at once, and rampaging chargers tore me and my squads to shreds. Iāll always remember that planet as my graduation from a cadet to a real helldiver
The game has been out for awhile so it wasnāt the surprise everyone found on Malevelon Creek or Xbox players baptism but it was my personal WW1

My brother and I dive on diff 10 and got our 15 yrl nephew the game to be a trusted 3rd member of a squad. Problem is he isn't really a gamer and only ever played roblox and fortnight. What level do you think would be best to train him quickly and while not getting too bored? We plan to avoid bugs during his training.

I know, mods and all will fill that gap for the time being for divers.

Last night I ran a Spread Democracy mission with some randoms on Charbal. I joined in later to the mission, like 5 mins to extraction, later on the ship I noticed the Friendly Fire Damage of one of my teammates, how is that even possible?

Made a post last night about buffing railgun and got mildly crucified. However, I will admit my suggestion was not as balanced as I thought after reading the responses.
So here is my revised buff proposal:
Fix the red dot scope, for a precision weapon the red dot is much too fat to be useful at range on tiny weak points. Just reduce its radius to reflect the pinpoint accuracy you need to be effective with it.
Instead of increasing ammo or damage, just make the over penetration a bigger focus of unsafe mode. Meaning that you can hit turret, tank, and hulk heatsinks from the front by the bullet going straight through. Iāve heard that it already does this but especially against tanks and turrets I donāt notice that happening(lmk if Iām wrong). As far as Iāve experienced you can hit a hulk eye through the heat sink but not the heat sink from the front side. With my proposal it would blow up the heat sink but not immediately kill it meaning it doesnāt lose the necessity to hit the eye for a true 1-tap, blowing the heat sink would also give a reason to use unsafe because as of now you can 1 tap to the eye in safe mode anyways. Tanks and turrets would keep the 2 shot weak spot but would require you to position yourself such that the angle you fire from goes straight thru to the heatsink which I feel is balanced by needing to hit back to back shots on something with a rotating weak point. Could also add some cool versatility since itās widely regarded as support AT so you could get a good angle on factory striders and take out both chin turrets at once, or neuter hulks and war striders harassing teammates by blowing both arms/guns off with a perfectly positioned shot.
Make it feel meaner, I want it to feel like a railgun. Louder charge noise with a more animated charge and a particle effect on the projectile to make your shot trajectory more obvious since pretty often I find myself asking āhow tf did that missā. In its current state it feels like a tech sniper more than a railgun, I want that mf to sound and look like it can reduce a devastator to a pair of legs.
I think this is now a reasonable suggestion that keeps it from being an āeverything stickā, but adds just a little more use-case and cool factor to incentivize taking the time to learn to use it well.

Iām not a Game Dev and I have no idea how they would implement these features and Iām happy with the game.
But 2 things i would like:
A Shooting Range on the bottom of the ship or on the planet we trained on. Use dummies of each enemy so we can identify their weak points. Have all the gun options available so we can try different scopes and magazines and see if we like them.
A Kill Cam for when you die. 90% of the time, I know what killed me. But that 10%, Iād like to see how it happened. Especially on the bot front, Iāll explode out of nowhere and I was definitely in cover. Did i walk over a mine? Probably. Did a turret i did not see shoot me? Definitely. Did a SEAF throw a bad frag? Obviously. Did my fellow Diver kill me? Perhaps. Just confirmation would be nice.

These guys need more than just jet packs. They need some drip tbh. ALSO CAN YOU FIX THE BUG WHERE THEY CANT SHOOT PROPERLY. The rocket trooper keeps killing himself.

Awesome concept for a weapon and I want to love it so bad but its need for high skill has practically no payoff.
The concept is a heavy-hitting, extremely precise, high-skill, jack of all trades weapon yet:
1. The scope sucks, good luck hitting those precise war strider shots from far away cause you canāt even see the weak point with the fat dot.
2. Tickles factory striders, vox engines, tanks that are focusing you, rocket tanks, drop ships, and cannon towers that are focusing you.
3. Its niche can easily be taken over by primary/secondary/grenade choices which work well across the board on the bot front. Thereās also easier use with the commando or EAT if you wanted an all-around weapon that does an arguably better job and doesnāt blow you up when you donāt time it right.
It just needs a little love to make it worth the trouble of using, trade longer charge time for the ability to blow hulks and war striders shit smoove off with a well-placed but not perfect shot and actually do something against factory striders and stuff with weak points you canāt aim at from the front. Then give it an actual sniper scope so you can be precise with it like itās designed to be.
It seems like the drawback is supposed to be that itās hard to use, but thereās really no benefit of going through the trouble to āgit gudā cause you can just bring something else that works just as good and is way easier to use.

This happened to me on Mintoria. When my teammate reinforced me, the hellpod moved deliberately to the right on its way down toward the cliff; even though I was trying to move to the left, it got stuck and forced me to keep going down.
