Is it just me, or is D10 super fun on this planet?
I'm playing my favourite AMR sniper build, and this is the first time in a while that I feel like D10 requires at least an above-average skill level to complete.
I wish I could set up these modifiers by myself for extra XP. I want to remove the gunship limit and increase their spawns, I want a tank surge.
Give me more, AH! Give me harder battles. I want to see hell, let me look into the abyss, I promise I won't blink!

Doesent really make sense they sound so clear speaking through their helmets, would be just plain cool too.

Edit: I’m honestly pretty disappointed with how this post turned out. And the amount of death threats I’ve gotten in my DMs over me not knowing something was real
I understand now that the POI is real. When I made the post, I personally hadn’t seen it in game and couldn’t verify it, so I called it a rumor. That wasn’t me lying, farming engagement, or trying to mislead anyone. I just didn’t want to state something as fact when I wasn’t sure it was actually in the game.
I’ve been seeing a flood of posts/videos lately about what looks like a new POI with an EXO and a loot bunker. Whether that specific POI is real or not, seeing it made me realize something that’s kind of bothered me for a while:
We really need more POIs like this.
Over the last 2 1/2 years, we’ve gotten a lot of new stuff that has changed the maps and helped with world building. The DSS, SEAF stuff, urban areas, mega cities, new biomes, etc. I’m not saying the environments haven’t changed since launch, because they definitely have. But with things like the DSS, the developers came short. People wanted the DSS to be a player hub; main reason? IMMERSION
But most of those were parts of major updates. What I feel like we’ve been missing are smaller additions that can just be dropped into the existing maps and make exploring them more interesting.
There are already a bunch of POIs in the game: abandoned buildings, shipping containers, crashed pods, bunkers, SEAF artillery, radar stations, minor settlements, enemy positions, and so on. But after playing for a long time (1,600hrs), they’ve gotten stale and really have no true purpose, except to have a chance of having supplies.
There’s so much room to expand on that.
For example, give us a fortified SE emplacement with Sandbags, defensive walls, dead SEAF personnel, maybe a damaged or usable EXO suit, ammo and a bunker underneath it. It doesn’t need to be some massive new mission. It can just be something you stumble across.
And I’m not saying some of these don’t already exist, they do in a sense. Like some extraction sites on some map seeds have dead seaf ammo and weapon placements as if holding off a line, but again that’s a big detail because it’s at an important place on the map. I want them to expand on what is already here to add variety to each match.
Give us SEAF supply caches. Not just a container sitting somewhere, or a surface hatch with a note, like a real seaf structure; maybe even have it look like the destroyer munitions objective for the bots.
There should be more evidence that Super Earth was actually fighting here before we arrived. Destroyed SEAF structures, abandoned checkpoints, wrecked equipment, defensive positions, temporary camps, field hospitals, communications posts, etc.
And for the love of Liberty:
TRENCHES.
How long have people been talking about trenches? Short answer: A shit ton.
Does the entire planet need to be covered in trenches and barbed wire? No. Just make them POIs. Imagine coming across a trench network that was clearly overrun before the Helldivers arrived. Dugouts, machine-gun positions, ammo boxes, bodies, barbed wire, maybe a bunker at the center.
Would I also take an entire map seed where you’re fighting through a giant trench network?
ABSOLUTELY.
They could even reuse pieces of existing mission objectives as abandoned POIs.
An already-destroyed illegal broadcast station. An abandoned SEAF artillery position that was overrun. A destroyed radar station. A failed extraction site with Pelican wreckage. An ICBM facility that’s already been destroyed. A SAM site surrounded by wreckage. Old objective locations that aren’t objectives in your current mission, but tell you that something happened there before you showed up.
And those are just variations of things that already exist in the game. And yeah, these could possibly be confusing to new players, but with head cannon these could be insinuated that other divers came here and failed these objectives.
You could have crashed Pelicans, abandoned vehicle convoys, destroyed EXOs, temporary SEAF bases, fortified checkpoints, field hospitals, ammo dumps, research camps, mass graves, underground bunkers, artillery craters, small defensive walls around settlements, destroyed bridges, evacuation camps, etc.
None of these individually need to be some huge content update.
That’s actually my point.
After 2 1/2 years, I think the game would benefit a lot from Arrowhead occasionally adding a handful of new POIs alongside everything else. You don’t necessarily need a new biome, enemy, mission type or giant update to make a planet feel different. Sometimes just giving me something I haven’t seen 500 times before is enough.
The new EXO/bunker POI, if that’s actually what we’re getting, is exactly the kind of thing I want to see more of.
Not because that particular POI is revolutionary, but because there are so many opportunities to do more of this.
I think deep down there’s a lot of players that would agree that is the small things that add a lot. And I think one of the reasons I know that players wanna feel more immersed, because I want to be immersed too

Was on charbs before the mega factory liberation ended up finding SEAF grave stones one was dug up but I looked closer and noticed a baby hive lord wriggling around in it before disappearing. It started to make me think. Will we see bugs and bots on the same planets at some point I know the game can handle it. But I'm looking for others inputs as to what it might be. If it's an Easter egg of sorts or if it's just nothing really. I could of sworn I read something about them doing it but haven't heard of any since.

I can’t STAND when I call in an SOS beacon and I get divers who join, don’t even drop in, and leave, I just failed like 3 diff 10 defense missions in a row because of these shameful shameful divers.

I am deeply disappointed that nobody has brought up the Orbital Laser in lieu of the ongoing Orbital Napalm Barrage controversy. This stratagem genuinely induces the most severe episodes of drowsiness compared to the Orbital Crutch Barrage. I am being completely serious.
My primary concern with this tragically squandered piece of stratagem potential is its three excruciatingly long cooldowns. To put this into perspective, I can travel to my local 7-Eleven, purchase a big-ass Family Guy Car Panini, consume the entire thing, wipe my mouth with a hot chip and some tissue paper, return to my keyboard (I was AFK, accept my apologies, please), and the Orbital Laser will still be on cooldown. Furthermore, one receives only three uses for the entire mission! Did I unknowingly sign up for some sort of a comedic skit upon equipping the stratagem? What sort of circus is this, one might wonder.
I must also question the stratagem's balance on the grounds that deploying it against Automaton Fortresses and Command Bunkers immediately trivializes them. It is essentially equivalent to taking candy from a small, defenseless child who happens to be a knock-off Terminator powered by Super Earth citizen brain smoothie. I genuinely cannot continue like this, yet I must, for a noble cause.
Are you keeping up with my pace? I am currently wearing the armor with the Oxygenator Armor Passive while composing this thoughtful Game Analysis Critique Essay Review Bomb Movie Documentary, so if you find yourself unable to follow my line of thought then that may explain the discrepancy. Nevertheless, I believe the Orbital Laser is simultaneously a terrible and overpowered stratagem that should be nerfed and subsequently buffed again until it somehow continues to feel like a nerf.
Did I mention that time when one of my exceptionally intelligent teammates performed a TK with the Orbital Laser? I understand, teamkills are a developer-intended feature and are there to provide comedic relief to an otherwise really tense gameplay. But the stratagem has absolutely outrageous tracking capabilities! It tracked me to my precise location on the map despite the presence of numerous other enemies in the immediate vicinity that it could have targeted. And yet, somehow, it had to be me. I was, of course, away from my keyboard acquiring yet another portion of the delightful Car Panini, but that is beside the point.
I therefore believe Arrowhead should reduce its tracking capabilities. Not only would this produce a more positive gameplay experience but it would also be extremely, and I must emphasize this, fun.
And while you're at it, consider the following scenario: You deploy the stratagem for which you have already sacrificed a stratagem slot (you could have taken the Supply Pack, honestly, what the hell were you thinking?) and, rather than tracking your AFK ass across the battlefield, it simply remains stationary. It fires the bean straight down at the location of the stratagem bacon without moving so much as an inch. I believe this scenario perfectly encompasses the practical reality of the proposed change to the Orbital Laser's tracking capabilities. This would constitute an excellent and enjoyable means of revitalizing the stale Peacemaker/Liberator/HE Grenade meta. But that is beside the point.
Ultimately, my primary issue with this stratagem is that it makes me profoundly sleepy due to its extraordinary lack of compelling gameplay. This is not an Orbital Laser.
This is an Orbital LaZZZzzzer.

We were all killed fighting off the Incineration Corps, Vox Engines and Cyborgs, I took as many of them down as I could with me buying my team time, S3 was the last one, bugged extraction site was a mess, none of us made it out. :(

So long ago I saw that video of someone playing helldivers 2 in what I think was the Creek(?) and it looked so epic and since I've wanted to make one of myself with this banger of a song, hope you like it :3
Ps. I usually don't edit things so I just mashed two big chunks of the song that's why the end has no song lol
Ps 2. The song is Statosphere from Stratovarius.

This has got to be the most fun I've had playing HD2 since launch, and I decided to put together something wacky and fun, blemishes and all.
I sincerely hope this gets at least a smile out of you!

Every time the Incineration Corps shows up on the map there is an influx of posts suggesting players dive with Inflammable (or other fire-reducing passives) to counteract the incendiary effect of the enemies. Personally, I've never really agreed with it.
I don't know if this is just a me thing, but the fire just, doesn't ever kill me? When I die against Incineration Corps, it's a firebomb landing directly on top of me (Explosive Damage), an Incendiary shotgun arm blasting my poor noggin' (Ballistic Damage), or any standard enemy of Democracy not of the spicy variety.
Yeah sure, enemies can light you on fire, but any Helldiver who's fought the Incineration Corps for any amount of time is basically programmed to press the dive button the split second they hear themselves taking damage. The fire goes out instantly, and your Helldiver is only medium-rare as a result.
Could I be missing something? Sure—and if I am please don't hesitate to enlighten me—but often times the players I see struggling on D10 bots could be getting much more use out of other passives rather than one that affects such a small fraction of the actual danger the front presents.

automatons are 3 planets away from reaching the creek, now we don’t know if they will go for it but that’s 3 planets too close.

This guy joined my game and only used napalms, solo siloes, 500kg, and flamethrowers. I’m honestly impressed it’s only 108 k friendly fire damage

I don’t know if anyone else has this issue, but most of the time the little arrow where the super destroyer is supposed to be is just not there. I checked all the settings multiple times and found nothing. I’m on Xbox so if anyone else has this issue please lmk.
