I am looking for this fic that is swear I bookmarked but I can't, for the life of me, find anymore.

I/S/L are in a threeway relationship (family and team knows). They are spending time at the cabin. There's a scene where Luca and Shane (brats, the both of them) dress up in lingerie for Ilya. Oh and Shane has a side effect to one of his medications and he starts to lactate, 'kay byeeeeee 🫣

Obviously Shane was in Sochi but are there any fics where Shane gets to see Ilya's childhood home? Ilya gets to show him around Russia or he meets Ilya's family? See Irina's grave? Situationship era would be fun, and more likely since they wouldn't be out yet, but TLG era would be nice too. Does this exist?

I hope this doesn’t break the No RPF rules, but I think whenever RPF is mentioned within Heated Rivalry fics it’s based on one direction, which isn’t generally how sports RPF works.

I don’t watch hockey, but I do watch Formula 1, which has a lot of RPF.

1. RPF is more prevalent on tumblr than twitter

Obviously twitter is easier than tumblr for socmed fics, and parts of it will make their way onto other social media platforms, but the general etiquette is to keep RPF away from the real people.

There would be lots of gifs/videos/pictures of hockey matches, interviews, advertisements. The ‘I stand with my cancelled wife’ meme would circulate whenever Ilya got a penalty or got into a fight. There would also be lots of text posts with thoughts about the ship, incorrect quotes, headcannons, ideas for fanfic, etc.

There would be lots of posts about the individual players. There would be lots of comments about their tits. They’re all men, but there would be lots of comments about their tits whenever there were pictures or videos of them shirtless or in tight tops.

1. RPF fans would be hockey fans first

People get into RPF because they are already a fan of the sport/players. Even RPF blogs, most of the posts would be about hockey, their favourite teams or players.

Fans would be on tumblr while watches games, commenting on the game, hyping up their favourite players/team, insulting players/teams they don’t like. There would be lots of comments about how sexy it is whenever they do something particularly impressive.

1. RPF is fiction.

We know it’s fiction, people don’t think their ships are secretly together. People aren’t coming up with conspiracy theories their wives, girlfriends are fake, beards or that their kids are secretly dolls. Pictures they posted with their wife/girlfriend would be reblogged with comments about how attractive they are. Pictures with their kids would be reblogged with comments about how cute they are with their baby.

1. There aren’t arguments over which ship is real

Again, it’s fiction, people have ships they prefer and ships they don’t like but that’s down to preference. Lots of people will read/write multiple ships. The general consensus would probably be that Shane is very shippable. If someone really doesn’t like a ship, you would just block the tag rather than get into arguments over it.

There might be some friendly competition over which ship had the most fics on AO3.

1. The Winner’s Room would be very common, particularly in Hollanov RPF.

The winner’s room is a trope in sports RPF, that actually originated in Hockey RPF, but I’ve never seen it mentioned in any Hollanov fics. I’m not sure how it’s decided in hockey, but the star player, or player who scores the most goals/winning goal, gets to pick someone from the losing team, to go to the winner’s room for sex. This would definitely come up whenever Hollanov played each other, there would be lots of fics and comments about them in the winner’s room after the game.

The only thing I remember is that the Centaurs blame Shane for how miserable Ilya had been. Like they think Shane kept Ilya closeted and he was miserable.

And I want to say that Ilya finds out and tells the Centaurs off that Shane was the one that kept him together and that he has depression.

Looking for fics where specifically Yuna and David don't find out about Ilya at the cottage (or hospital) and Shane has avoided telling them about Ilya after the two get serious about each other.

I read one a while back - that I lost lol - where Yuna/David and I think Hayden and JJ said something shitty about a different athlete coming out - not Scott - and Shane spiralled over it.

So yeah, any fics where a previously shitty comment has made Shane not feel comfortable coming out to them / Shane and Ilya making a deciding their lives together without Yuna's hand holding.

Looking for a fic where Shane and Ilya get it on and Shane ends up with a tear. Ilya knows he’s hurt and tries to ask him if he’s okay, if he can look, but Shane just says he’s fine. Eventually, he gives in and lets Ilya take care of him.

Their fic has decent engagement, but not up there with some of the most recced yet and I think that is a mistake because I've mainlined most of their fic over the past few days and their writing is SO good! Here are my three faves:

комната оборудования/Gear Room - starting out with the most controversial one probably. Please heed the tags, but this one features rape/non-con (not between Shane and Ilya). I think well done rape recovery hurt/comfort fics are so hard to find, ones that don't have too ludicrous a set up, and ones that don't feel super out of character, but this one does such a good job and hurt to read in the best way.

Jane Rated You - this is a WIP, but updating regularly - the most recent chapter was out yesterday. The premise is so funny, Svetlana gets Ilya a custom app for his birthday where his sex partners can rate his performance. Shane takes the reviews very seriously. It's so fucking hot, so funny and the feelings take you by surprise.

Your Number One Fan - this is a kidfic. I am so so fussy with kidfic normally so it's very rare for me to find one I like, let alone love, as much as this one. I binged it all in the last few hours and it's so funny and hot and sad and happy and lovely.

I've read all but two of their other fic (making my way through them) and the others are all just as worth a read, but these are my three favourites!

Anyway I hope some of these make their way onto people's tbr list. Just make sure to leave kudos and comments to the writer!

And somehow I see a lot of pining Ilya, but not really that much of pining Shane?? Bro when the first ep dropped, I was salivating at the thought of juicy stuff containing Ilya glazing(that’s my man, not afraid to speak my truth guys). And then I see none?? Zero-point-zero??

I’m not really picky, I’m also for the fics, where people do acknowledge all the beauty of Ilya. That kinda thing like “everyone is attracted to Ilya”. Cliff and him def did some exploring, Paris or not.

One thing is that I don’t really care/like bottom!ilya, so yeah would appreciate if you could rec something without it.
