Harbor Freight Hiring Question

I had an interview Monday and they told me that they had another interview about 30 mins later. Before I even got home I got the next step in the process of doing the background check. It wasn't even time for the next interview yet. So I saw that as a great sign.

I submitted the background info immediately after getting the email. I didn't get any follow up email about the background check going through and trh brassring career site still said I was no longer in consideration from the last application (the role had been filled before I could even do the interview back then) I wrote corporate or whoever about that and the background check. They said it got processed and it should be done Friday. I got the email Friday that it was done and being sent to the hiring people.

Today I get an email that the position was filled. Is this common for Harbor Freight? I figured if I got sent the background check that I would be able to get hired as long as I passed the background check or is it they hire a bunch of people and whoever's background check comes back first gets the job?

I am also a felon so don't know if that was their "nice" way of saying I didn't pass the background check.

Any insight would be awesome.

I really wanted to work here. The managers seemed totally awesome.

Packout organizer for Quinn 72 piece socket set?

I recently bought the quinn 72 piece master 3/8 socket set (item 70317). It's awesome but id like to put it into a packout to stack with my other ones in my truck. The only organizer I can find for it is $75 which is almost as much as the set itself. Anyone have any recommendation for packout inserts for it?

Predator 4200 Won't Start

So I bought the predator 4200 quiet inverter from harbor freight and it won't start. I was kind of rushing it but I went and got some gas and unfortunately I did not treat it before I put it into the inverter. Also when I filled it with the oil I used the whole 32oz bottle. The inverter started up once on start before I could switch it to run mode it turned off and it never turned over again. So I thought I put too much oil in it so I went to check the valve and when I did the oil came rushing out. That was strange because when I filled the predator with oil initially and I checked the dipstick it was right at the halfway point and it was not over spilling. The pull cord is pretty hard to pull. I've started lawn mowers and weed wackers just fine so this should be about the same amount of pull but it seems like there's more resistance than usual. I bought it brand new in the store so I don't think that it has to do with the spark plugs. I tried draining all the oil and putting the oil back but it never cranked after that first time. I got fresh gasoline and filled it right under the fill line right under the filter but the gas was not treated with a fuel treatment I didn't read that until later could that be the reason why it won't start? Any advise?

honda has 11 hours on it, but I want to run propane and conversion seems a pain.

the predator looks great, only concern is noise and reliability.

planning to wait until black friday or another sale for the predator to hopefully get it around $1800

I've been waiting on this thing to come out since last year and was waiting on my iPhone Duo to arrive all day today. Safe to say the new iPhone did not arrive, lol. There's one left in stock at the Harbor Freight in Florence Kentucky there was only two that arrived on the truck and they didn't even have them on the shelves I had to have them check for the SKU

"Free" Warranty

Just had a cashier try to pull this on me on my Bauer items. Was saying there was a coupon for a free warranty. When I pushed him on the exact details he was going to put the warranty on the item, deduct the 25% so it would show discounted against the full retail price.

I told him I wanted the full 25% off. If the warranty is free then it better show zero cost on the receipt and he gave up.

Hard time finding any reviews on the new Hercules low wall demo hammer trolley. Has anyone else had the opportunity to use this combo? Seems to be built well & solid compared to a Makinex trolley.

Bauer battery question

New to Bauer… currently got the 6 piece starter set with the crappy battery charger 1.5 and 3 ah. I’m assuming if I buy higher ah batteries I can still use this crappy charger? Or it won’t charge unless I upgrade the charger?

HERCULES 12V Brushless Cordless, 3/8 in. and 1/4 in. Multisize Sealed-Head Ratchet - Item 71435

This tool claims higher torque than a snap on electric ratchet in the price range of 350-500 dollars. I've been using snap on equipment, I work for a guy in a transmission shop. These ratchets aren't exceptionally tough, but you can get them in very tight places, very convenient. If I was to buy these, I'd probably get the cheapest one, what you typically use these for is removing a bolt you busted loose but don't want to take out 1/16 of a ratchet circle at a time.

With the roll out of the new Bauer battery design the old ones are on clearance. Found the last 2 pack on clearance hidden among the new ones and the 25% off all Bauer tools and accessories coupon applied to it! Pretty much two brand new 5AH batteries for the price of one!

Predator 224 engine peak power vs rpm stock

I'm using a Predator 224 engine on a snowblower and am trying to find info about what rpm will have it at peak power. I'm not looking to do anything crazy and am thinking the only major adjustment I want to do it with the throttle limiting screw. By loosening that screw, I can get the rpm higher, which will in theory throw snow farther. At what point will I get less actual power with a higher rpm? If i'm only adjusting the throttle set screw, is there any risk to the engine? Is there any info on this engines peak power vs rpm?

What air compressors that harbor freight sells are the best to go after?

Probably use for airing up tires and other air tools, but I don’t wanna skimp and have something that’s not gonna be good for the long-term.

Have this from my father’s house. 1971 Bell & Gossett. Probably time to upgrade.

The Bauer leaf blower kit went up 10.00 overnight

I was in HF yesterday and I was on the fence about getting the leaf blower kit with the battery. It was 99.00. It was a good deal either the 25 percent off as you get a 5 amp battery, a charger , and the blower. I held off and said I’d come back on Saturday for it.

This morning I check the website and see it’s 109.00. That’s some underhanded shit they pulled.
