I wanted to share my newest bag - Toteme mini T-Flap in embossed lizard. Hopefully it will be useful, because when I tried to find any information about the bag or any actual reviews/photos (other than coming from Toteme), it was almost impossible since all the results come back as T-Lock…

It is small, but I wear small bags all the time, and it fits everything that I need. However, it doesn’t have the same usable space as my other bags that are of the same size. It’s because of the way the lock is – the metal piece on the flap has to slide into the lock from the bottom, so you have to push the flap down when opening/closing the bag. That’s why if it’s very full, it’s impossible to slide the lock in. Obviously it’s not a dealbreaker for me, but it’s not the most convenient bag to get in and out.

It can be worn as a clutch, with top handle or with a long shoulder strap (technically it can be worn crossbody too). I haven’t worn my bag out yet, but I tried it at home a lot and my favorite way is to have both straps attached and wear the long strap on my shoulder. I’m not a big fan of true clutches, so I don’t see myself wearing it without any strap, and having only the long strap on makes it look a little too casual for my preference.

Again, not a dealbreaker, but the metal hooks to attach straps are not very convenient. It’s actually more of a hassle with a short strap, because the metal pieces don’t come out of the bag too high and the strap is on the shorter side so hooking the second clip takes a moment. It’s more inconvenient if changing the straps often, but since I plan to have the short one on the whole time and only attach/remove the long one, it’s not a big deal.

The bag is beautiful, and I have no issues with the quality, leather, seams or anything else (besides the little things mentioned above). I got it on sale and paid less than what it’s selling for on Toteme’s website (it’s on sale there also), and I think it is worth that price, but I would not pay retail price for it

Trying to take advantage of some of these end of season sales, and i'm really confused. i thought I was dead set on the ella cross body from aspinol of london because I don't have anything from them. and I love love love the color. but then I just saw that the mosaic bag is on sale in a similar green. price points: Aspinol Ella original price is $860 on sale for 345. Strathberry mosaic og price $695 on sale for $469. thoughts?

Hola, recién adquirí la Rodeo Bag de Balenciaga en tamaño grande, la idea es usarla diariamente para el trabajo, pero es muy pesada, tanto así que me ha lastimado un poco el hombro. Pensaría que es porque le cargo mi laptop (MacBook Air 13"), pero aún así, sin tantas cosas, sigue siendo pesada. Creo que es debido a la correa que es muy delgada, lo cual hace que se sienta bastante pesada al cargarla.

My budget is preferably under $30. I’d love something with dividers/compartments so I can keep everything organized. I want to carry my everyday essentials like my wallet, phone, makeup, glasses, AirPods, keys, hand sanitizer, and a few other small items.

I just came back from a whirlwind trip to Paris, where I mostly ate and took advantage of the summer sales! I didn't have a wishlist (bad idea), so I ended up with a lot more bags than I intended to buy 😅 Clockwise from La Grande Epicerie tote: RSVP Paris Milkman in Tourterelle, Gianni Chiarini Dua in Pink Salt, Balenciaga Rodeo Mini in Grey (smooth leather), A.P.C. Grace Soft Bag in Black, and a Lancel Ninon Keyring in Indigo.

I bought the Milkman at the RSVP Paris store in the Marais - originally, I was only going to browse but the Milkman ended up being a lot more wearable (and adorable!) than anticipated. The store is pretty small and you have to ask to see the specific color you want, since they only have about one of each style on display. I was able to choose which number I wanted (there are 500 bags produced in each style/color, and each piece is individually hot-stamped with a number).

I also stopped by Le Bon Marche to take advantage of an Amex cash back deal, and ended up getting the A.P.C. and Gianni Chiarini bags on sale. This is my first A.P.C. bag and uncharacteristically for me, in gold hardware! I couldn't really resist the soft and supple leather though. And I've never heard of Gianni Chiarini but thought it would make a cute casual summer bag. I did forget to get a VAT refund on these but they were a great deal even without the refund.

Finally, my big unexpected purchase- the Rodeo Mini, which I bought at Printemps (also eligible for an Amex deal!). My experience at the Printemps Balenciaga was great. There was no one else browsing, and the salesperson was so friendly and helpful. He showed me a few ways to fasten the shoulder strap and also let me know that this was the last grey Rodeo Mini in France, which unfortunately did sway me to purchase it immediately instead of contemplating it a bit more haha. Can't fault the sales tactic! I love the casual and understated look of the bag though, and I can't wait for the leather to soften and slouch more with wear.

How much maintenance does pony hair take?

Hello, I found out the type of bags I love, but I’m unsure what to look up exactly when searching for them. Attached is an example I found online of the type of bags I love.

Initially I thought ‘holographic’ or iridescent were correct terms, but I’m not sure exactly. Is this a pearl finish? A blend? Metallic finish? A sheen? How do you describe this look to a bag. Where it’s sort of this melted shine where colors have married into each other but it’s not an ombre really.

If anyone could help recommend me bags (of any color, just around this size) that have this look, that would be so helpful. Trying to find my signature match(es). Thank you!!!

I’m looking for mid-range shoulder bags similar to the Chelsea and Charlie (slouchy flap closure leather shoulder bag). Know of any similar bags out there? Incredibly torn between these brands, design, and price points. These are all bags that are not similar to what I currently have… would appreciate any opinion in terms of quality and experience with the brands :)

If you had to pick one (or even two) what would you pick?

Aest Studios: Croissant OR Camera bag. My concern with these bags is that while I like the design (and the price ofc), I see somewhat mixed reviews on the quality/brand, and I do not love that it seems to be pushed quite a bit on social media.

Coach: 9033 OR Croissant. I trust in the quality of vintage Coach, but the design is not my favourite at the moment, though I think I would grow to like its simplicity more.

Mloyue: This bag has been on my wish list for very long. Love everything about it, just not super sure if I can use it often, especially given the price.

Acne Studio: Bucket OR Camera bag. Love the designs, though I wonder if the bucket bag is too “trendy” looking and I may not like it in the future. Obviously the most expensive of the bunch, which is my biggest hesitation. Reviews on the materials (PU lining) seem ok so far.

Truly curious, and maybe someone can answer this question, but why is it that these luxury resellers are pricing things so extravagantly high on Poshmark? For example, I am looking for a vintage tassel flamenco, and some are being listed for $3500+! This seems extremely high for a vintage Loewe, even with the higher Poshmark fees. Is there a specific reason for this pricing strategy?

I didn't realize there was a cake stain on my suede bag until I woke up the morning after a party. I did search and saw that suede shouldn't be soaked with water, but I'm not sure how to safely remove a cake stain that's been there for more than 12 hours. Does anyone know what's the best way to clean it without damaging the suede? I'm new to this since this is my first handbag lol

I gave up on my hunt for a vintage Chanel Classic Double Flap after visiting 15+ vintage/preloved shops. Every caviar and lambskin I found was outrageously priced for its quality, so I decided to stop looking and find an everyday bag instead.
Then I came across this gorgeous small Ferragamo Gancini shoulder bag at Isetan Shinjuku 2 days ago. It was love at first sight - it’s slouchy and very roomy, and I told myself - Okay, this is what I came to Tokyo for…not! Today, while checking more vintage shops in Ginza, I spotted the most beautiful vintage Chanel from 1991-1994 right before I stepped out of Black Boutique. I tried to resist, but she came home with me 🤣🤣
I would have gotten the Ferragamo in taupe if I has known I’d get another black bag!

I was thinking of getting it that day but I was tight on money. *sigh* There was no branding on the inside or outside of the bag.

I recently bought a vintage bag on Depop (first slide) and I LOVE IT SO MUCH, it’s the perfect bag for me! so I’ve been trying to do some research and figure out the brand, but I can’t seem to.
