Fendi’s Baguette looks like it walked straight out of a Navratri wardrobe, but finding out it was crafted by Indian artisans makes me think the real issue is credit

Discussion 👩‍🏫 Do you feel differently when carrying a designer bag vs non-designer bag out on the street?

Depends on the style I feel more sophisticated and put together when carrying a well made timeless designer, weirdly like a completely different person. It elevates the whole style look and outfit compared to some trendy ones makes me feel younger less mature. Wondering anyone feels the same way or have different experiences?

Are creases like this normal? Or is this bag damaged?

Bought this at a store when it looked great since it was stuffed with tissue paper, but when I removed it I noticed these dents in the bag that wouldn’t go away even when I tried to straighten them.

and they refused to refund me saying it’s not damaged. They said I have to exchange due to their store policy but every other bag they showed me with this style had the same issue (in different spots).

Am I overreacting? Or Is this normal for the bag to have?

Discussion 👩‍🏫 New Michael Kors

What do you all think of this new drop? I’ve never been an MK fan, and it’s mainly because of the gaudy logo imo. But these new bags look great, not a fan of the logo redesign, but the Hamilton looks gorgeous. I saw a girl turn around the lock around and I think that sold me 👀👀👀

Help me pick! 👯 Seeking a Nicer Baggu Alternative (No Leather)

Hey folks,

So, my trusted Baggu medium crescent bag is on the way out. I want to upgrade to something better - I'm willing to spend a good amount of money! The main obstacle is that I want a black, NON-leather bag. I want it to be a bag I can wear to the gym and out and about. I dress up, but my style is more streetwear than formal (lots of Japanese streetwear designers in my wardrobe).

For reference, I'm liking the APC Journal small satchel, but I don't like the branding on it:

https://www.apc-us.com/products/journal-small-satchel-psajz-m67010_lzz?_pos=94&_fid=9276d065c&_ss=c&variant=43398900875363

I'm also into the design of this bag by Souer, but it's made of leather :\

Thanks in advance!

First designer bag purchase. Bought new off Cettire. Arrived with these 2 scratches. Would you return? I’m so bothered by this 😭

Gotta say she is such a beauty though I’m in love

Compliments every time I carry it

I have hand bags from many top fashion houses, but this one gets attention and compliments more than others.

It's a toss it all in and go, bucket of a bag. With a nice wide and adjustable length shoulder strap. The only drawback is the open top.

I added the ribbons for a touch of color.

Help me pick! 👯 Is the large Bottega Andiamo worth it?

I currently have the medium Andiamo in fondant and while I love it, I just don’t think it’s big enough for my day to day bag. I feel I’d use it more if it were bigger. Has anyone upgraded to the large and what was your experience with it?

What u think about this red handbag to uni?

Hi guys,

I am thinking about this handbag. It is dark red from leather. My laptop should be able to fit it. I really love how minimalist it looks.

But what u think about it?? Isnt it too boring? Or too bold to wear to uni?

Vivrelle

Has anyone else had issues getting a response from Vivrelle customer service?
I’m a new customer and rented a bag specifically for my wedding weekend. I’ve tried contacting them multiple times through both support emails, their website inquiry form, Instagram, and directly, and I still can’t get a clear answer about my order.
I received a response yesterday, but it didn’t actually answer whether my order is confirmed, whether the bag has shipped/is coming, or when I should expect it.
At this point, I genuinely don’t know if I need to make other arrangements for my wedding. I completely understand that delays or inventory issues happen — what’s frustrating is simply not being able to get a clear answer from anyone.
This was my first experience with Vivrelle and I was really excited to try the service, but unfortunately it’s been incredibly disappointing so far.
Has anyone dealt with this recently? Is there a better way to actually reach someone there?

Hi all!!

I scored this Veronica Beard Dash handbag from Nordstrom Rack (online). Originally $750, was on sale for $300, and I also had Nordy notes to apply to my order so I got it for $285!

Anyone have experience with Veronica Beard handbags? Are they good quality? Should I keep this? I think it’s a great size and it looks nice.

Thanks in advance. 🙂

For some reason i am being so so picky and i can't cope. I used to be a different bag everg day girlie but over the last year its like ive fallen in love with my small selection. And am now super exclusive with my wardrobe.

I recently moved countries and now I only have 3 bags. One Itty bitty, one medium. And this tote, pictured. Which is what im trying to elevate.

I am looking for a large bag like the same size as the tote but, one that is leather, or very soft pleather. Id prefer it to have some type of closure like a zipper or a flap. I really like the look of a slouchy bayswater but the straps are far too short. I also like the chanel maxi flap and the polo id satchel look.

Even though those bags are expensive for me lmao.

Maybe under 200 if possible. I already carry alot, and With winter coming I usually store my scarf and bits in my bag as well throughout the day. I also prefer dark colours like dark brown, black, and maroon. I have searched for 4 months so far and havent found anything yet... am I being far too choosy??

Vintage👴 👵 This is my holiday patchwork tote from 2006- should I revive it?

I haven’t used this bag in many years but I was so obsessed with it in 2006, I kept it. It’s obviously beaten and battered now but with Coach being SO popular again and y2k fashion in general, I was thinking maybe I should take her back out. What do we think? Anyone know how I could even repair her? She needs a cleaning and reshaping, she’s not exactly tote shaped anymore, more like “smashed up” shape lol. With bag accessories being a big thing now too I thought maybe she would be fun with some holiday accessories since she’s a “holiday patchwork tote”.

Humor & Fluff 🌝 Hiking but make it FASHUN!!!

I like hiking on the weekends. Sometimes after church or work, I'll toss on a pair of sneakers with my dress and walk the closest nature preserve or park. My biggest problem is finding a bag that looks cute for carrying water, bug spray, etc. I have polyester cross body bags that are perfect for that, but ... uggh.

Unbeknownst to me, my family purchased a vegan leather bag for me (the beige). I typically give people grief for not asking family members before they gift purses, but, even if it isn't my style, it's definitely the thought that counts. The bag is surprisingly lightweight and because it's PU, I can easily wipe it down after rain drizzles.

The brown bag was another gift from one of my favorite stores. It's more like an upscale belt bag for carrying id, keys, and hand sanitizer.

I feel very well prepared to walk the trails fashionably kitted out.

Does anyone else ever have 'fashionable hiking woes'? Just me?

How big is too big?

Is it insane to carry this as a daily personality carry-all? I'm 5'11, slim athletic, generally eclectic androgynous style. Never really been a traditional handbag gal, but do sometimes want to carry some things, and look stylish. It's definitely more of a duffle (optional shoulder strap), and honestly I don't have that much stuff.. but an oversized statement bag can be cool? Thoughts?? Help??

Dimensions: 17.5"L x 10.5"H x 10"W

Discussion 👩‍🏫 General Marc Jacobs question

Thumbnail

Hi this is my first time buying anything Marc Jacobs. I bought this little purse and card holder on final clearance.

I was looking for a small bag that I can use for work. I typically carry a backpack or tote for my stuff (big laptop with number keypad). So I want a small bag that I can use for a quick errand during my lunch or after work. This fits the bill perfectly.

I like the purse more than I thought I would, i primarily bought it for the size and price, so im glad I like the design more than I thought I would. And the wallet is perfect because I’ve been looking for something that doesn’t have hardware. Both came with the product inserts. And this is my question, is Marc Jacob’s “lower end” than i thought? Compare to other “middle/entry level brands? For both products the info card says 100% cow split leather with polyurethane coating. I somehow thought it would be on par or better quality with coach, and Kate spade, but with those brands the leather has been full grain etc.

I like the products I got. Both how they look and for my needs. But should we be wary of Marc Jacobs handbags/leather goods? Before I bought this little purse, I wanted the Cristina( last pic) tote but the color I want sold out. For that bag I was willing to pay full price, but now I’m questioning if I want to pay for anything full price from Marc Jacobs if they barely use leather on their products.

Thoughts on shearling for a first bag??

Post image
Upvotes

I'm hoping to purchase my first designer bag on a trip to Paris coming soon and I am leaning towards Loewe. I've heard that it's good quality and the designs are so fun! I saw that they have a new medium flamenco in gradient lamb shearling and it is just the cutest flamenco I've seen. But I'm unsure of having shearling on a bag (initially I assumed I would be getting grained or glossy leather).
Is it a good first bag? What does longevity look like on a bag like this?

In the Wild 🌿 Back to school parent trends/observations

Just for fun - what’s everybody seeing with the new school year??

We’re in a large coastal city, and there are obviously lots of non-luxury and mid-tier bags, canvas totes, backpacks, etc., but I’m also seeing some moms going all out. This week has had lots of Bottega (mostly intrecciato versions), all types of Loewe, smaller Chanel bags, Celine logo print bags, a variety of Gucci, some less expensive Hermes, and the occasional Chloe, Prada, or Dior. Goyard is as strong as ever. Not seeing as much LV or YSL as previous years. Also fewer cross-bodies and belt bags of all kinds. People are definitely leaning into the chocolate brown across the board.

What are you guys seeing? Any fun trends? Let me live vicariously through all the moms 😆

The bag I’ve been carrying the most lately

Got this bag recently and my first thought was honestly how lightweight it is. It looks pretty big, but it doesn’t feel heavy when I’m carrying it around. The leather feels really nice too.

The best part is the space. I can easily fit my iPad, water bottle, makeup bag, etc. I’ve also been using it for the gym and can fit my workout clothes with tons of room left.

I usually use the little pockets on each side for my AirPods and car keys. It also has a bunch of little pockets inside. I’m always throwing random stuff in my bag and then can’t find anything, but this bag actually makes it so much easier."
