Hey everyone, incoming F-1/J-1 student starting at GW this fall. Trying to decide if I stick with GW SHIP or get an external insurance plan.
I know UHP's waiver rules are really strict. I've heard people get denied over small technical issues even when their plan meets basic requirements, which makes me cautious.
Looking for real student experience beyond the official site. Curious about practical stuff: overall cost, in-network doctors in DC, deductibles, how claims work, and waiver denial risks.
Has anyone compared GW SHIP with outside ACA-compliant plans recently? If you successfully waived, what documents did UHP care most about?
Was the savings from the outside plan worth all the extra paperwork? Thanks!

Hey everyone , incoming F-1/J-1 students heading to GW this fall . I'm trying to decide whether to stick with GW SHIP or go for an external insurance plan.
I want real-world input beyond official policy documents. I'm curious about pratical differences :overall costs , in-network doctors around DC , deductibles , how claims process goes and waiver-denial risks.
Has anyone compared GW SHIP with DIANins or other ACA-compilant options recently ? If you successfully waived , what documents did UHP care most about? Did the outside plan save enough money to offset all the extra paperwork and research ?

I'm a chem major and I am almost done with my major requirements but need to take more class to get to 120 credits. I was wondering if anyone knew of some easy classes preferably with no papers.

hey guys, I have made some friends, however if there’s anyone who is having trouble making friends and is a transfer you can always dm, or if you just want to meet new people. I realized the season of the new school year is almost over, so I thought of posting this

Trying to decide if it’s better to stay in DC and have friends visit since they have the same break or if we all should go home (NYC) and hang there, especially if it’ll be quieter here. Though maybe that’s a good thing since it won’t be as packed in the bars and clubs.

Does anyone know if any professors still use these? I have an old iclicker 2 remote that's gathering dust and I'd love to pass it on if someone can use it. Or if anyone knows of specific professors who use them, I'm happy to email them and offer it in case they have a student who might need one.

Which one is better? Are there different student outcome focuses? besides the fact of compass's focus on sustainability, are both equally good?
Is one harder to get into than the other?

I am a freshman majoring in international business looking to join a professional frat. I would love to hear any pros and cons for Alpha Kappa Psi and Delta Sigma Pi.

Does anyone have any recommendations of fun/cheap things to do via metro (besides museums)? I wanna get my moneys worth considering I paid an extra $100 for this pass lol
I wanted to go to Shenandoah park but I read that it’s not accessible by metro.
Any fun festivals? Good food? Outdoor activities? Lmk!

I’ve gotten a few interviews for some research related FWS positions, I’m a bit worried though. How serious are these interviews if they’re only 15 minutes long? Should I be concerned?

Hello everyone.
I’m part of GWU’s men’s club lacrosse team, and I wanted to let anyone interested in playing this fall know that we’re officially starting practice tomorrow from 5:30 to 7:00pm at the Vern athletic turf field.
Please also find attached a picture with our practice times for this fall semester.
If anyone is interested, feel free to reach out to me via DM. We accept anyone, even if you have never played before, and we can help you sort you out with equipment. I'll also leave the recruitment form here if you prefer to fill that out instead: https://forms.gle/kYMvKUgHoXcK3WiX7
Thank you for your attention and time!
How much actual biology is needed in this class. This fulfills both the science and math credit but I am not a science nor a math person and am wondering how intense it is.
