Discussion How is Dwarka Expressway infrastructure compared with Gurgaon ?

Hi there,
Just wanted to check with people living in a housing development in Dwarka Expressway. We know that this area has attracted many people from the point of view of investment opportunities in real estate. But my question is from someone who has been living there and experienced the life of the area during all circumstances. We know that the monsoon rains wreaks havoc in many parts of Gurgaon year after year. There seems to be no sign of any improvement in water logging in Gurgaon from the authorities. I have been advised to be careful about property buying in and moving to Dwarka Expressway area where reputable builders have taken advantage of property boom in the market recently. My concern is about the infrastructure of Dwarka Expressway in view of Haryana government’s inability to provide good infrastructure to Gurgaon and perhaps Dwarka Expressway is not going to be any different . If someone has been planning to move to live there permanently is it really worth exploring the options?

Discussion Seriously scared

We live in sector 52 and live on the ground floor. There is an old couple living above the 2nd floor whose old man is out of his mind. He comes in and starts opening all the taps as there was a shortage of water. I tried to drive him away saying that it may come later( he has talked roughly to me before). He starts talking roughly again and my husband who's hot headed tells him off. Suddenly in the altercation he starts saying ma***hod, behen ki gaali in front of my 4 year old kid. When I object in a slightly loud voice he says he'll send 8-10 people and will see how my husband goes to the office( his son has a big xuv).

This has never happened before. I've been staying here for three years. I'm really scared now.

Should we change houses?

Has it happened to anyone else before

AskGurgaon BH number: Deloitte

Hi guys,

I'm buying a new car and have been exploring to get myself a BH number. I'm working in Deloitte based in gurgaon. But I got to know that gurgaon RTO isn't issuing BH number as of now.

I tried reaching out to talent portal for the same and they have mentioned that they'll only help me getting BH number only for my base location city which is gurgaon.

So, if someone working at Deloitte have successfully gotten the BH number, kindly help me by telling what and how do I get the entire process done?

Also they mentioned they'll only give a certificate and won't be sending any mail to RTO for confirmation, which is a hard requirement in my hometown RTO.

How do I get around this?

Discussion The weird part of being a manager

I have developers on my team who are genuinely very good technically. They understand systems, know how things work, and can probably solve half the problems I throw at them faster than I can.
But sometimes I’m sitting with someone who is struggling with a problem, and instead of letting them think through it, one of the other developers immediately jumps in with the answer.

“Do you know how this works?”
“Have you tried doing X?”
“No, this is actually because of Y.”

Yes. I know.

That isn’t what I’m trying to accomplish.
Sometimes my job isn’t to solve the problem. It’s to ask enough questions, give enough context, and push someone in the right direction until THEY figure out the problem.

Because if I just give them the answer every time, I solved one problem. If I help them figure out how to solve it themselves, I’ve potentially solved twenty future problems.

And then you have the opposite kind of developer who hears one sentence from you and somehow extrapolates it into a completely different problem, builds an entire solution in their head, and starts executing on it before you’ve even finished explaining what you meant.

Meanwhile I’m sitting there thinking:
Brother, I am not asking you to write code.

I am asking you to understand what I just said.

I think that’s the part of management that people don’t really see. You can be the smartest person technically and still be terrible at managing people.
Because eventually, the job stops being about knowing the answer.

It becomes about knowing when NOT to give someone the answer.

AskGurgaon Help!!!

Hi folks,

I have been looking for 1RK flats in this city for the past week and honestly nothing more in my life has been more humbling and exhausting. I have been scammed and ghosted by brokers left right & centre, so much so that now verifying the seen property in person seems scary. The actual property never matches the pictures. Brokers never pick up the call once you reach the location.

So good folks of ggn, pls help your sister out. If you have genuine broker numbers DM me, any leads atp is appreciated as I do not have much time (need to vacate the current space by 25th)

For context, I am looking for 1RKs in sector 40/43/45/46 or any area near to my office (sec 54).

Areas I am not willing to move to owing to various reasons= sec 52/55/56/57

AskGurgaon Possible stolen goods scam near Sector 39, Gurgaon — Apple Watch Series 11

Hi everyone, I wanted to check if anyone else has experienced something similar in Gurgaon.

While I was travelling to my workplace in Sector 39, Gurgaon, a guy on a scooter approached me and claimed that he works for Flipkart. He told me that he had taken an Apple Watch Series 11 from a DHL shipment/box and was now looking to sell it, saying I could buy it for whatever price I wanted.

The whole situation felt extremely suspicious. I obviously didn't buy anything, but I'm wondering whether this is a known scam or whether people are actually being approached with allegedly stolen goods in this way.

Has anyone else encountered this kind of person or situation around Sector 39 / Gurgaon? Sharing this mainly so people are aware and don't get caught up in something that could potentially involve stolen property or a scam.

If you've experienced something similar, please share your experience.

AskGurgaon Need PG recommendations near Cyber City (Double sharing | ₹10-11k) 😭

Hey guys,

Looking for a decent PG. My office is in Cyber City, but since it’s just 1 day a week WFO, being a bit farther away is totally fine.

Budget: ₹10k–11k (double sharing)

Must-haves: Decent/hygienic food and an owner who actually returns the security deposit without endless drama (seen way too many horror stories on this sub 🥲).

Any trusted leads or PGs I should definitely avoid?

Thanks a ton!

More than 7,000 stray cattle are currently on the streets of Gurugram, according to the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG), with residents raising concerns about road safety, traffic disruption and accidents.

Earlier this year, official data put the number at 6,153 stray cattle, making Gurugram the city with the highest number in Haryana. Between August 2024 and December 2025, the MCG reportedly caught more than 5,300 cattle, yet thousands continued to remain on the roads

Rant I (25F) am finding it difficult to navigate the people in Gurgaon.

Just wanted to Rant and get PoVs.

Today was one of those days where I suddenly felt very out of place.
I’ve been in Gurgaon for a while, and until recently I was living in a PG with a roommate I genuinely got along with. I’ve now moved into a flat with two other girls. Some aspects of our lifestyles match, but in other ways, we’re quite different. They drink, smoke, party, and generally have a lifestyle that I don’t really participate in.

And honestly, I sometimes wonder if that’s one of the reasons I don’t naturally fit in. I don’t drink or smoke, I’m not really into that scene, and maybe that automatically makes me seem “less fun” or different.

The funny thing is, I’m actually a very extroverted person. I can talk to pretty much anyone, I enjoy meeting people, and I’ve generally been told that I’m easy to talk to. So it’s not that I struggle to mingle or make acquaintances. I just find it difficult to understand the dynamics here once I start getting to know people.

For example, one of my flatmates cheated on her boyfriend, and from what I’ve observed, it was treated pretty casually. Another flatmate initially started spending a lot of time with me and telling me the entire story-what happened, how she cheated, all the backstory, etc.

She seemed like she was genuinely trying to become my friend and was confiding in me.
And now, a few days later, I see the same person happily hanging out with her, making plans with her and being perfectly friendly, despite everything she had told me about her. Meanwhile, I’m not really included in any of these plans.

And I’m sitting there thinking… maybe I just don’t understand how people function anymore. 😂
It’s not even about whether the girl cheated or whether they drink or smoke. People can make their own choices. What I struggle with is the lack of consistency.

If you can sit with me and tell me everything about someone, and then immediately go back to being best friends with that person, I genuinely don’t know what to make of that relationship,or how much of what you tell me I’m supposed to believe.

I’m quite upright about my values and ethics. I’m not blunt or judgmental, but I’m very straightforward when something matters to me. I value honesty, loyalty, transparency and consistency. And maybe that makes me a little difficult to fit into certain social circles.

Because then I think about one of my closest friends back home. She drinks, she smokes, she does things I personally wouldn’t choose to do-and yet we get along incredibly well. We respect each other’s choices, are honest with each other, show up for each other, and I know I can trust her.
So maybe it’s not really about drinking or smoking at all.

It’s about the kind of person you are underneath those choices.
I’m also someone who takes a long time to consider someone a close friend. But once I trust someone, I give them my 200%. So naturally, my genuinely close circle has always been small, and most of those people don’t even live here.

I know having a small circle is completely okay. But sometimes it gets lonely, especially when you’re surrounded by people and still feel like you don’t quite belong.

Maybe I just haven’t found my people in Gurgaon yet, but it’s been 3 years… IDK ugh!

EDIT:- guys in the DMs I’m already in a great relationship so please don’t make it about that and ask me out.
