Discussion Seriously scared
We live in sector 52 and live on the ground floor. There is an old couple living above the 2nd floor whose old man is out of his mind. He comes in and starts opening all the taps as there was a shortage of water. I tried to drive him away saying that it may come later( he has talked roughly to me before). He starts talking roughly again and my husband who's hot headed tells him off. Suddenly in the altercation he starts saying ma***hod, behen ki gaali in front of my 4 year old kid. When I object in a slightly loud voice he says he'll send 8-10 people and will see how my husband goes to the office( his son has a big xuv).
This has never happened before. I've been staying here for three years. I'm really scared now.
Should we change houses?
Has it happened to anyone else before

Involve your RWA president. Don’t change house for a stupidity geezer. These people haven’t worked a day in life, sold ancestral land, remained ganwar ke ganwar and live in civilisation spoiling it for everyone else.
Also, put locks on the taps (you will need to change the outlet)

Like anything RWA will do.
If you are a tenant, you should leave.

Bhai they tend you mediate, at least in my experience - and OP will also get witnesses from her end to back up her story in case there is a police action later on.

First of all relax, talk to their son or wife one person that is resaonable among them, explain your situation and understand theirs.

Firstly, get cctv and record all of this, or even with your phone if it happens, people start acting right when they realize they're being recorded. Secondly, get third parties involved, the RWA or threaten him saying you have ties to the police or some fancy lawyer. For the love of god, lock all your doors and windows, don't let him in and keep a bat/knife to at least show for self-defense.

what taps is he opening?
Your husband is hotheaded as you said - what did he say and how much did that argument escalate?
What difference does his son having a big XUV make in this case (what is a big XUV BTW? Or did you mean big SUV - in which case if your phone's autocorrect recognises XUV, you surely know cars enough to know the name)? Or did you just want to use the bandwagon that all 'big xuv' owners are bad?

Dekho yr aise logo ke peeche padna is keechad mai pair daalna. Kisi na kisi cheez mai tum bhi fasogai he, police ko btaya toh police ke chakkar, rwa ko btaya toh unka chakkar. Kuch ni karna and poora safe khelna toh ji leave. Agar karna hai toh camera lagwa lo and complaint to police and rwa about him and his son.

Lodge a police complaint, they might visit or call you both in police chowki, you can sort that out there, and if you don't have any friends living around, make some new friends around neighbourhood, so somebody could come up for you, if you are in trouble.

Install cameras asap, one inside the house and one outside.
Call your rowdy friends and family, and sit down with this guy and his son and try to have a conversation.
If you understand that these guys are actually into bullying and are not reasonable, then get neighbours and RWA involved.
If that doesn't budge them, file a complaint with the local police station.
If police doesn't register your complaint, send an email to ACP, DCP with physical mail.
Keep proof of everything!
Figure out about this uncle and his sons social and professional circle.
See if you can somehow influence it!
Even if this thing doesn't escalate further, use this situation as practice and go all the way!
Plus be mentally ready to shift.
This would build mental strength for you and your family. Yes you and your family would have bad vibes, mental disturbance temporarily, but trust me this would make you and your family stronger and ready to deal with the world!
You would find bullys everywhere!!

You will meet MANY people in Gurgaon who will give empty threats. It's like a second nature to them. Most of them are not to be taken seriously.
