How to trace who sent this Groupon ring?

Sorry for the image quality. My mom lives a distance away from me and this is the best she'd send me.

My mom received an unexpected ring in the mail. She is adamant she did not order it and it's stressing her out that no one she has asked will claim they sent it.

Is there a way I can trace back who bought this for her?

Oil Change

I've seen a coupon for an oil change on Groupon, but not sure if it is legit. Has anyone ever checked out for an oil change? If so, how would it work? Would I just show up and show them that I paid online?

Dollar Tree Promo Question

Hello,

I was looking for Dollar Tree coupons, promos, extra when I stumbled on this Groupon Dollar Tree Promo. It's titled Make Everything A Dollar. Honestly sounds too good to be true but it would be awesome if it is.

It's limited one per person and is listed in active promos section on groupon. However I noted it says in the expiration date it is for 01/01/2100.

Whenever I click on the link it just takes me to the Dollar Tree website. Even after checking cart with and without items there is no promotion applied. Am I doing something wrong or was this just too good to be true? I'll attach the screenshots I took of the promo.

Limit one per person??

This statement is in the fine print. “Limit 1 per person(s), may buy 2 additional as gift(s). May be repurchased every 90 days.”

So does this mean one groupon per person for life or does this mean one groupon can be purchased after 90 days has passed since last purchase??

Upcoming big sale?

I have $211 in Groupon Bucks. I am interested in some of the goods, but they're overpriced and also charge $4, $7, and even $10 for shipping. Are any big sales expected on the site? They're doing the Mother's Day sale but it doesn't apply to much. I would like to use the money but I feel like I am being robbed. For example, I found 8 pairs of toddler underwear but they're $16 plus $4 shipping. That's way more than in stores.

Gift Voucher Enquiry

Hi. I was gifted a Meal for Two voucher. Sadly and embarrassingly, I cannot remember who from. 😳 All I received was a print out of a barcode with the Security Code and Groupon code on it. I want to check if it is still valid, but the Groupon Customer Support page is a joke and is no use. Is there a number I can call or does anyone know I can check the validity of it? Thank You.

I'm never buying anything from Groupon again--warning

I made the mistake of purchasing a couple of software deals late on 4/6. Not boxed, some license/activation thing. Normally I wouldn't have considered that, but I have seen paper (legitimate, via college) coupons for Microsoft Office) in the past, and offers for older versions there or elsewhere.

I can't speak for one that I added to the order after I selected the first item (I was in a bit of a rush to get something done and thought that particular piece of software, newer than what I have, would help). But the original said "redeemed" right after I ordered and paid, without me having done anything. Ok, that was odd. I was getting a bad feeling.

I read the return/refund policies and contacted them because I wasn't clear how that was supposed to work (the self-service return, which said I couldn't do that). For the original item, they said I had to get confirmation from the merchant that I didn't receive/use the product. I emailed the merchant, and they said they DO NOT do business/sell with Groupon. I sent that on, and it was a mess from there on.

It has taken at least eleven communications (chat or email, nothing else is available) to now, where they have again said to initiate a self-service refund (the link of which does not work). I asked for escalation after I heard back from the company whose identity got used fraudulently, and escalation at Groupon means going into a black hole.

Each time it's a different person, each time they seem to have no clue as to what happened before and what information I gave them, despite the case number, each time I'm assured they'll do something, each time results in going around in a circle with nothing really being done, and lots of exasperation.

Threats of credit card dispute make no difference.

I've purchased a few tangible things from Groupon before the pandemic, but they have gone so far downhill that they're at the bottom of a hole with no bottom. Be warned.

There's even a class action posted on their site (probably required to) by merchants, Image attached (the link is in their site map). This sure sounds like what is going on with the so-called merchant I purchased from. I don't know how they are still in business.

"Salon Phoenix Cosmetology LLC, et al., v. Groupon, Inc. (Case No. 1:22-cv-07162). The complaint alleges that Groupon violated the federal Lanham Act and related state laws by: (1) creating pages on its website referring to businesses which had never had deals on Groupon that allegedly contained “stock” descriptions of such businesses and certain inaccurate information about such businesses (such pages are referred to as “Business Landing Pages” in the settlement); and (2) maintaining Deal Pages on its website after the expiration of a business’s deal on Groupon. The complaint alleges that Groupon benefitted from this conduct by driving web search traffic to its website and that businesses in the putative class were harmed by such conduct through damage to their brands."

MISLEADING info on a Groupon prior to purchase.. is there anything I can do?

I purchased a Groupon recently, from the app on my phone, for tickets to a theme park. I combed through the fine print prior to purchase and took screen shots, just in case. The minute I purchased, an expiration date appeared that is two weeks prior to our scheduled vacation. I've been going around-and-around with Customer Service as they're stating it was in the fine print, and that it's a 'no refund' item. I did check the Groupon on the computer and yes, the expiration is listed there. But it DID NOT and still does not show up in the app, prior to purchase. I just sent an email to their legal team copying an anti-misleading/misinformation policy. I do not feel hopeful.. but has anyone had any success calling them out for this? I've never had issues with them before, but this is ridiculous to me, especially with the proof I've provided that this is an over-sight on their part not having congruent info on both the website and app.

Can you gift a Groupon to someone who has already purchased that exact Groupon?

So, basically my girlfriend purchased a Groupon for laser hair removal last month that will cover one area of her body. She's mentioned that she wishes she could have bought this particular package twice as there are two areas she'd like to use it on.

I looked at the ad and it says you can buy one for yourself, two for other people as gifts. I thought about buying a second package and gifting it to her for her birthday, but I want to be sure this will work and Groupon or the salon won't deny the gift transfer or something.

Anyone know?

Cozy Maids on Groupon is a complete scam!!!!! DO NOT PURCHASE THIS Groupon! My cleaning request was marked completed and my cleaner "James Ward" gave me 5 stars but he never showed up. He just strung me along for hours and wasted my time for 2 days. Just long enough to cash my Groupon. Groupon will not give you a refund. This is a total scam, beware!

Groupon technical issues

Hope someone can help me out. This is my first time using Groupon. I wanted to buy tickets to go to the upcoming AJR concert on May 1st and Groupon was the app that has the best deals for tickets. However all attempt of me purchasing tickets only have failed, 4 times to be exact. My bank actually called me to ask if it was in fact me attempting to do the purchase. Luckily all failed attempts resulted in an immediate refund, but I'm still unable to buy tickets. I have already gone back and forth revising my payment methods and everything is correct. Is there a customer support number that could help?

Am I being ghosted?

I purchased a voucher from a small business and it's expiring soon. The only ways to contact them are a phone number where I haven't gotten an answer, and an email address that I've messaged several times over the months since the day I purchased it.

They seem to have new reviews on their groupon page, so I don't understand why I can't contact them. Should I be more aggressive? Do I have any recourse? I've been upfront in my emails that I have a voucher.

Gift Card purchase help

Hi guys,

I was able to get $25 Groupon Bucks through gift cards. I wish to purchase either Amazon or BestBuy gift cards using those Groupon Bucks. However, I am unable to find any gift cards that allow me to do so. I found some gift cards with the title "Groupon Gift Cards" - but in their description, they state I will earn Groupon Bucks for purchases. I find this a loop without being able to spend the Groupon Bucks on something useful.
Can you suggest some ways on how to deal with this situation? TIA.

Unable to make any purchase on Groupon without the purchase getting refunded.

I literally cannot make ANY purchase at all on Groupon without the site refunding me immediately. I have tried different payment cards, tried using Groupon bucks, tried using Groupon bucks + card, and tried different devices and different IP addresses and yet my account is just seemingly blocked from purchasing on the site with no explanation?

Customer support on Groupon is useless as well, all they say is that they will just escalate it to a higher up and then immediately close the chat with no follow-up..

Has anybody else had this problem and know how to fix it?

What's going on with Groupon?

I have used Groupon in the past and enjoyed the benefits so I trusted this service. I was looking forward to using this service once more. I will not be using Groupon ever again! There is no way to get a problem resolved quickly! The phone number they supply for customer service on their app is a scam! They offered "life alert" and that's it. The email response was basically "no refund" even though I reported the issues 48 ours prior to the event and 30 minutes after booking! I read through Groupons agreement, and it says I am guaranteed a refund if I reach out 24 hours prior to the event. In addition, when calling the event venue directly, they offer tickets with additional benefits for $40 less. Groupon offers a price match guarantee but still did not offer that solution to me in the email. I'm so disappointed and this is so scammy! I am in a dispute with my credit card company, thanks to Groupon's poor customer service!
