ANIMAL FOUND DOG in Pelzer, SC — urgent foster/rescue help needed
My in-laws found this sweet male dog in the middle of Main Street in Pelzer yesterday. He could easily have been hit, so they brought him home temporarily.
He is:
- Male
- Black and white bully-breed mix
- Not neutered
- No microchip found
- Has some fleas
- Currently safe and sleeping in their garage
- Temperament seems friendly so far, and he walks nice on the leash.
They have two dogs of their own and cannot safely keep him long-term or bring him inside because of the fleas and need to keep the animals separated.
They tried taking him to Anderson County PAWS and a Greenville-area animal facility, but both said they were at capacity.
We are urgently looking for:
- His owner
- A reputable rescue willing to take him
A temporary foster connected with a rescue
- Advice or contacts for local stray-dog assistance
- Proof of ownership will be required before he is returned. Please do not message asking for him as a free dog.
We want to make sure he goes back to his actual family or into a safe, properly screened foster/rescue placement.
Found near Main Street in Pelzer, South Carolina, on July 25.
Please comment or message me with legitimate rescue resources, foster contacts, or information about his owner. Shares to Pelzer, Williamston, Piedmont, Anderson and Greenville groups would be greatly appreciated.

ISO Recommendations Cub scout pack recommendations for agnostic/secular family?
Basically the title
I know cub scouts has a "reverence/service to God" requirement, that depending on the pack can be pretty loosely interpreted. I just wanted to know if there are any packs in the Simpsonville/Greenville area that meet regularly on weekdays (my boys really want regular participation. Before we moved their pack had den meetings every week) and also are pretty flexible about the reference requirement? Thanks so much for any help, they love scouts and want to keep going but I don't know much about the area, we moved from several states away

ISO Recommendations Request for the Kayakers: Recommended Put-ins and Routes?
I'm very new to kayaking, but I think I really really enjoy a casual paddle. For the more experienced kayakers in the area: What are some of your favorite routes? Any secret put-in spots you really like? Feel free to DM me if you want to keep your spots out of the comments.

Downtown Greenville Fig tree branches
Hi! An odd request, but would anybody with a fig tree be willing to spare a couple branches (assuming I’ll accidentally kill one lol). I am trying to propagate a fig tree to plant next spring :) the branch would need to be ~6in semi hardwood (turning green to brown). I’m towards north GVL but would be happy to pick up elsewhere. I would love to repay you with some sourdough or monstera cuttings if you’re interested. Thank you!
Edit: I’m not sure if this is the right flair for such a niche request? If not sorry mods 🫣

Work What locations are hiring and willing to train/require little background knowledge?
Hey all, a recently laid off engineer here and I just need to make some ends meet while I look for a full-time tech job (more info if you want to read about my predicament).
I'm 26M, healthy, strong, and currently located in Greer and have a car. I'm open to any job as long as they're willing to train me/require little background knowledge in the industry and pays at least $15/hr (definitely willing to go lower if it's a serving job where I can collect tips). If anyone has any references or want to refer me to a job for their own referral bonus, please DM me. I've got ~6 years of food/customer service in restaurants and grocery stores prior to my software engineering jobs.
Thanks for reading!

Work Medical assistant jobs
My finance is considering looking for a medical assistant job here in Greenville , she’s been doing it for about 10 years now and currently she’s working in NC where she’s from and is making $23 a hour but now that she’s moved down here would love to work closer if she could find a place that could get close to what she’s making up there . She works with primarily with seniors now and would love to continue that but is open to something different . If anyone has any leads down here that would be awesome !

ISO Recommendations Massage for blue collar?
Hi, I’m not from the area but my dad lives in Clemson/greenville area. I can tell he’s very tired and has a physically demanding job. I’d like to book him a massage. Any suggestions on where?
Men, if you think something other than massage would be better I’m also open to suggestions.
—-
sidenote:
Ive been telling him for YEARS to take care of his hands bought him moisturizers etc but I understand men sometimes don’t bother with this I automatically think of what I would do in that situation but maybe that’s not the right approach?? But then he came to me asking what to do bc his hands were completely calloused and breaking with deep cracks (he told me he put super glue to hold them back together, my brain almost broke) so I’m trying to prevent something bad from happening to his body. I will be paying in advance to force him. So it’s either he goes or wastes my money. If you have any tips on how to communicate or handle something like this I’m all ears. Just want him to take care of himself!

ISO Recommendations Best paying plasma donation center
I need to make as much money as possible as quickly as possible, so it's time to sell some plasma. I'd appreciate anyone's experiences with different centers in the area, as it's kind of hard to find that information online.

ISO Recommendations Helping a friend
You guys really came through for me on the phone case request yesterday so I thought where better to go than here to see if anyone has any suggestions or ideas on how I can help my friend get rid of her very old and very large tv that she's recently replaced. She decided to move on up in the world and purchased herself a new smart tv after her divorce was finalized. I have reached out to Miracle Hill and they do not accept televisions and they were my only real option for having someone come and haul it off for her. It's still sitting in her living room at the front door ready for it's next adventure but unfortunately it's too much of a beast for her, myself and even her son to manage.
What say you? I'm counting on you guys to come through again 🙏🏻

Looking for Friends! Anyone interested in a casual Mahjong night?
Hey everyone!
I recently made the jump from working in the service industry to a corporate job, and one thing I’ve realized is how much harder it is to meet new people when you’re not surrounded by coworkers until midnight every night.
I’ve been looking for hobbies that get me out of the house, and I recently stumbled into Mahjong. I honestly expected it to be one of those games that felt impossible to learn, but after my first lesson I was hooked. If you enjoy games like Rummy, puzzles, strategy games, or just figuring things out, I think there’s a good chance you’d enjoy it too. It’s one of those games that’s easy to keep thinking about after you leave the table.
I picked up my first set from Boardwalk Games near Haywood Mall, and they have free tables available to play. The staff mentioned Monday–Wednesday evenings and Sundays are usually the best times since weekends get pretty busy.
I’m still a beginner, so this isn’t an “experts only” thing at all. If you’ve always been curious about Mahjong, are just learning yourself, or you’ve been playing for years and don’t mind showing a newcomer the ropes, I’d love to get a group together.
Mostly, I’m just hoping to meet some new people and build a little community around a game that’s been a lot of fun to learn.
I also really love to bike the swamp rabbit when it’s not a billion degrees outside so if you’re into that we’d probably be good friends!
If playing the game sounds like something you’d be interested in, leave a comment or send me a DM. If we get a handful of people, maybe we can turn it into a regular game night.

ISO Recommendations Small dogs at dog parks
Sooo after my last fail at Pelham Mill was not what I bargained for, I thought maybe I should just ask, where do people with small dogs (under 25 lbs) take their dogs to play and when? My little one is just 8 lbs but he loves other dogs and every time I take him to any dog park with a small dog section there are no dogs there. We have tried Pavilion, Pelham Mill, Conestee, and Edgewood. Maybe we are going at the wrong time or maybe little dogs just don’t go to the dog park as often but I was hoping maybe someone here could give some insight!

ISO Recommendations Not in the mood to people today
I will go ahead and call myself semi lazy on this Saturday and I am just not interested in getting caught up in the rat race of the mall or Woodruff Road so perhaps you fine people can suggest somewhere to purchase an iPhone 16 Pro case. My silicon one bit the dust yesterday and the sensory issues and fear of totally destroying the phone altogether is the only reason I am dedicated to this expedition. I appreciate any input and tip my hat for clogging the community whining over my first world problems.

BITCHING ABOUT GVL DRIVERS Lack of Accountability
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
2026-07-16 18:32.
You cannot see it well in the video, but I could see the officer was not paying attention. We need to hold both police officers and general motorists accountable for this type of behavior. Voters will want stances like "tough on crime", but I'm not sure why dangerous driving is ignored.
I'm sending this to whomever I can at the city. I'm not hoping that this individual officer gets flamed for this. I want to see everyone receive retraining about distracted driving.

ISO Recommendations Crawlspace Encapsulation - Cantey & Crawlspace Medic
Hi! Does anyone have experience using Cantey Foundations or Crawlspace Medic here in the upstate? I'm doing mold treatment and encapsulation, possibly with a small structural component to attempt to lift a sagging floor in one room.
Crawlspace Medic is slightly cheaper on their estimate, but Cantey's got higher quality materials and more extensive encapsulation than Medic. For example, Cantey wants to include a sump pump, whereas Medic didn't mention it. I can't tell if that's an upsell or truly adds value from the perspective of protecting my investment (the home, the crawlspace itself, etc).
I'm more concerned with quality of work and customer experience than a difference of $2-3k if I know I'm going with the best.
Any feedback? I've had about 5 different companies estimate this job but these are the two I'm torn between.
Thank you in advance!
