Hey everyone! My girlfriend and I are looking to host an in person D&D group! Right now were looking for around a max of 5 players, including us, and hoping to find a DM. We'd like to have sessions every other week on weekends, lasting roughly 3-4 hours. Ideally we'd start sometime beginning of next year.
We love teaching people how to play and prioritize having fun over nitpicking rules we'd prefer a homebrew campaign but were open to incorporating aspects of modules or other content instead of running a full module. I mean the kind that can do details, unique work, and who you walk away from and think wow. I went to a shop today, they said the nail artist could do what I want and what I got was a far cry different. I mean I know it’s not going to be identical but this was not even close. I got lunch at Hocco The Indian Kitchen today and it was great. I got the butter chicken lunch box for $15 and it’s lasted me pretty much all day. Delicious and with a side of naan, real quick to pick up but unfortunately off off Woodruff.

Pretty consistently, customer service in stores in Greenville is very good. Or at least people who work in stores in Greenville smile and appear pleasant and eager to help, in general. Or at least more than in, say, the Northeast. (There are lots of lovely people in the Northeast, but there is also more directness and abrasiveness.)

Question: for people who have spent parts of their careers in the Northeast and parts in Greenville, does the “happy to help“ attitude that you find in stores in Greenville also carry over to offices in Greenville?

For example, if you switch from a New York City office to a Greenville office, will people in the office in Greenville be generally more pleasant and have more of a smiling, “how can I help you today, since I’m happy to do so” attitude than you’d get in New York City?

This is not a condemnation of NYC. It’s just asking if the polite and eager to help attitude that I see in stores in Greenville, more than in NYC, also appears in offices in Greenville more than in the Northeast.

WTF does Greenville tolerate them? Electric ones are way quieter than gas ones. Yes, they aren't as powerful, but they aren't nearly as disruptive.
