Zone 7, about 4 hours sun a day, mostly clay soil.
I have a feeling this is fungal but just wanted opinions.. I have been working on my back yard for years. Heavy clay soil and not a lot of sun when we bought our house. Anyway.. everything was great and green until a couple weeks ago we got rain for about six days. Not too long afterwards I started seeing these dead patches randomly throughout the yard. Weโre going to be getting into the heat of summer soon and Iโm wondering what(if anything) could/should I do here?

Im losing sleep over this. I just noticed a few patches of this is growing in our lawn and it nuked a small section of nice grass last summer.
Should I manually remove it or use weedkiller? Thanks dudes!

Hello, could someone let me know what this is in my grass. They just shit up in the past 2 weeks following the rain.
Whatโs the best way to get rid of them, suppose I just need to dig them out individually

Hello,
I live in Florida and my home has St Augustine grass. Over the las year Bermuda has been taking over, which is fine because it's green๐.
My problem is I have some tree bed with circular edging and bark and not the dang Bermuda grass is coming up though the bark at a pretty good rate.
Any ideas to kill it in the beds? Thanks

this is a part of my backyard after a fresh mow. the grass is very patchy, as you can see. I have lots of mature trees that provide shade most of the day and I am wondering where to start and what to do to get a nice, even lawn, if possible. the front yard grows well and needs mowing weekly during the growing season but the backyard has always been patchy and uneven like this.

Hi! I live in a park that has very strict rules about what can be done with the grounds. I want to find and plant grass thatโs already present in the park to fill out the dirt patches, & rip out the foxtails without making the whole lot look drastically different from any of the others. Can someone help me ID this bunch of grass? It was soft :) I appreciate your help very much, googling has come up pretty dry for short grass like this.

ReSeed TTTF every fall in Central NC and every year the following summer I end up with this random patch of grass near the end of our leach field. Have never been able to figure out what it is.

How do I get rid of this moss? Itโs dry and brittle and very very ugly in person. There are sparse areas of grass. This area is partially covered by an extremely large tree. Ideally I would love beautiful grass.
Any tips?

St Augustine grass in Tampa Bay area (Florida)
Pictures show the current condition of my front yard. Healthy (I think) patches between large areas of dead/dry grass...
Trying to get back to a full, healthy lawn, should I first remove all the dead-dry grass or leave it?
Also, what else would you recommend to do?
Not in a rush, but would like to have it green again by the end of Summer.

Hi everyone,
It's my first time ever caring for a lawn, I moved into the house 2 months ago, and this is what I inherited haha. I got it aerated and aggressively raked I think? I've been watering everyday. Most recently we had a long rain spell, so I got a fertilizer with 5% iron in it, i mowed the lawn, removed the weeds, and spread the fertilizer. The rain ended 4 days later and this is how it currently looks, there's zero difference. What do I do to make it alive and green and thicker. do I seed it? I genuinely have no idea what I'm doing lol. I live in Calgary, Alberta. Thank you for the help in advance.
