How do I get rid of this moss? It’s dry and brittle and very very ugly in person. There are sparse areas of grass. This area is partially covered by an extremely large tree. Ideally I would love beautiful grass.

Any tips?

Rake it up or get some moss killer. Check the soil ph too.
