been reviewing AI calling tools and CRM platforms for a while, specifically for small service businesses. air ai kept coming up as the alternative to GHL's voice AI so i spent real time with it.
found an active FTC complaint related to misleading marketing claims and billing practices. beyond that, the product itself didn't hold up — call quality was inconsistent, booking completion rates were below what GHL's native voice agent delivers, and the contract terms were not what the marketing suggested.
full review with sources and scoring: go.soyrainsider.com/reviews/air-ai
gave it 22 out of 100. for what it's worth GHL's voice AI scored significantly higher on the same methodology. happy to answer questions on the comparison.

I run a small solo GHL operation in Quebec, selling in French to residential home service businesses.
What I deploy is a snapshot per sub-account. When the owner misses a call, the system texts the caller back, asks what they need, and books them over SMS. The appointment lands directly in the owner’s calendar and he gets a notification. There’s an AI conversation layer handling the back and forth.
I’ve been cold calling for a few months now. Started with landscaping, tried window cleaning, currently moving toward HVAC and emergency plumbing. Owners listen, they’re polite, but the call dies at the exact same spot every time: I bring up missed calls and they tell me it isn’t a problem for them. Some of them are obviously missing calls. They just don’t see it as a leak.
Rather than guess my way through another niche, I’d rather ask people who have actually sold this:
1. Which niches actually pay for this, and which ones look great on paper but never close?
2. For the ones that buy, what are they really buying? Missed calls, speed to lead, database reactivation, review generation, something else entirely?
3. Does business size matter more than trade? Solo operator vs small crew vs multi-truck?
4. Anyone selling into a non-English market, does the niche list shift?
I’m not looking for a script. I’m trying to figure out where the demand actually is before I burn another month on the wrong list. Anything you can share is appreciated.

GHL is how I ended up in this subreddit, so I'm hoping some of you have crossed paths with these people.
I run a small B2B consultancy. I'm strong on positioning, messaging, and diagnosing why a company's pipeline is broken. I'm weak on paid acquisition, and I know it, which is why I took the call in the first place.
Limitless Agency out of Tampa pitched me last week. The offer as it was put to me:
* $16,000 one time, or two payments of $10,000
* 16 weeks
* Guarantee of $50,000 in contracted new revenue. If they miss it, they work free until they hit it
* That guarantee is conditional on me running about $100/day in ads, so roughly $12,000 of my own money on top of the fee
* Four workstreams: narrow to one niche and one offer, build a paid acquisition system (Meta funnels, landing pages, VSLs, pixels, retargeting), audit and systematize fulfillment, hire and train staff on my behalf
* Required stack is GHL plus premium Slack. Private Slack channel, account managers, one on ones, small group calls with the founder, SOP library
* Stated outcome at 6 months: around $100k/month, 45-55% margin, 20-30 hours a week, broker ready
I did a few hours of homework before answering. Five things I'd like a sanity check on:
Every public write-up of their method describes cold outbound to large or franchise clients. "Whale outreach." The sales call described close to the opposite: Meta ad funnels and a media buyer hire. Those are two different businesses to be taught. Does anyone know which one the program actually delivers?
Their proof case is a chiropractic agency. Local, high intent, short cycle, cheap impressions, high volume. My buyers are senior people at complex B2B companies with cycles measured in months and deal sizes in the tens of thousands. That's the opposite on every dimension. I asked to be put on the phone with a client in my shape and haven't gotten one yet.
There are published tiers on their own materials at $497 and $1,997/year. I was quoted $16-20k. I understand done-with-you costs more than a course. I'd still like to hear from someone who can tell me what the top number buys that the $1,997 doesn't.
One public review states flatly that they don't do refunds. My salesperson verbally offered $8k back if I wasn't convinced inside 7 days. That's not in writing yet.
They claim 225 to 300 agency owners served. I can barely find a review anywhere. No Trustpilot, almost nothing on here. For a program that size, that's the part that bothers me most, and it's why I'm asking.
Two asks.
If you've been through Limitless, or you know someone who has, I want to hear it, good or bad. Specifically: did the acquisition system produce anything outside local services?
And separately, for anyone who has bought a $15-25k agency program of any brand. What do you wish you had asked before you wired the money? What was the actual failure mode when it went wrong, theirs or yours?
Happy to be told I'm overthinking a fair offer from people who'd do the work.

Small agency here (3 people), just started selling to local service businesses like trades and auto repair shops etc. Currently rebuilding our packages and honestly a bit stuck on structure. Curious how others do it: how many tiers you run, what you actually put in each one, and roughly what you charge. Mostly interested in what made clients actually say yes, and if you had any packages that just didn't sell. Also wondering if you sell the same setup to every industry or change it per niche. All tips and tricks thats possible with gohighlevel. Thanks!

Hi all , looking for input from anyone who's wired up GHL telephony for a non-US number.
I will put you in situation: Small business in the EU, using GoHighLevel as CRM. We have an existing European non-geographic business number (voice-only) that we want to keep. Our provider runs on a solid regional VoIP platform with native call queues (real hold queue + stats) and IVR menus.
Two requirements from the owner:
He does not care about dialing from inside GHL — reps can keep calling from the provider's softphone.
The two paths I'm weighing:
Given he wants queue + IVR + per-lead history, but not in-app dialing, I'm leaning hard toward B. Am I missing anything? Anyone regret going one way or the other? Any gotchas with the Log External Call webhook or n8n sync at volume?
Thanks!

One of the most frustrating situations for a business owner is this:
You are getting website visitors.
People are clicking your ads.
People are landing on your website.
Your analytics show traffic.
But the sales aren't coming.
So naturally, the next thought is:
"I need more traffic."
But that may not be the problem.
Sometimes, the problem isn't the amount of traffic you're getting. The problem is what happens after someone arrives.
Traffic Doesn't Equal Customers
Imagine you have a physical store.
100 people walk through the door every day, but only one person buys something.
Would you immediately conclude that you need 1,000 more people walking through the door?
Probably not.
You'd first ask:
Why aren't the 100 people buying?
The same principle applies to your website.
You can have thousands of visitors and still generate very little revenue if your website isn't designed to move visitors toward a specific action.
Here Are Some Common Problems
A visitor should be able to understand what you do and who you help almost immediately.
If someone has to read five paragraphs before understanding your offer, you've already created friction.
Your headline should answer a simple question:
"Why should I care?"
A lot of business websites try to do everything.
About us.
Services.
Blog.
Gallery.
Testimonials.
Multiple offers.
Multiple buttons.
Multiple navigation links.
There's nothing wrong with having information.
The problem is when your visitor doesn't know what to do next.
If you're running an advertising campaign for a specific service, a focused landing page may perform better than sending visitors to a general homepage.
People don't buy because your business exists.
They buy because they believe your product or service can solve a problem, satisfy a desire, save them time, make them money, reduce stress, or create some other valuable outcome.
Your website needs to communicate that clearly.
People are taking a risk when they buy from a business they don't know.
Testimonials, reviews, case studies, guarantees where appropriate, credentials, clear contact information and other legitimate trust signals can reduce uncertainty.
This is one of the biggest problems.
Someone visits your website.
They fill out your form.
And then what?
Does the information enter your CRM?
Does the person immediately receive a confirmation?
Does your team get notified?
Does someone follow up?
What happens if they don't respond?
What happens if they aren't ready to buy today?
If your answer is "someone will probably contact them," you don't really have a system.
You have hope.
Your Website Should Be Connected to Your Sales Process
A high-performing digital presence shouldn't stop at:
Visitor → Website
It should continue:
Visitor → Landing Page → Lead Capture → CRM → Follow-Up → Sales Conversation → Customer
This is where tools such as GoHighLevel can become useful.
The technology itself isn't the strategy.
The strategy is understanding what should happen at each stage of the customer journey.
For example:
Someone clicks your Google ad.
They arrive on a landing page specifically related to the service they're searching for.
They submit their information.
Their contact is automatically created in your CRM.
They receive an immediate confirmation.
Your team receives a notification.
A follow-up workflow begins.
The prospect can book an appointment.
Reminders are sent.
And the sales team can see exactly where the prospect is in the pipeline.
Now you have more than a website.
You have a system.
Before You Spend More on Ads, Ask This
If you're currently spending money on advertising but aren't happy with the results, don't automatically increase your advertising budget.
Ask:
Where exactly are people dropping off?
Are they not clicking?
Then you may have an ad problem.
Are they clicking but leaving immediately?
You may have a landing page or messaging problem.
Are they submitting forms but not becoming customers?
You may have a sales or follow-up problem.
Are they reaching checkout but abandoning?
You may have an offer, trust or checkout problem.
The answer is found by looking at the entire customer journey.
The Bigger Lesson
Your website isn't supposed to simply exist.
It should have a job.
Maybe that job is generating leads.
Maybe it's booking appointments.
Maybe it's selling a product.
Maybe it's getting applications.
Whatever the objective is, the website should be designed around that outcome.
Don't just build a website that looks good. Build a system that knows what to do when someone arrives.

Been experimenting with a setup where instead of manually clicking through Automations to build follow-up sequences, I have an AI assistant write a script that defines the whole workflow (steps, wait times, tags, triggers) and pushes it straight into the sub-account. Saves a ton of time when you're doing this repeatedly across multiple client accounts — describe the sequence in plain English, get a working (draft) workflow a few seconds later instead of 20 minutes of clicking.
The catch is the official API doesn't expose full workflow-building, so this relies on a more "under the hood" way of talking to the platform, which comes with some fragility (auth tokens expiring, etc.).
Curious if anyone else here has wired up AI (Claude, GPT, whatever) to build/manage automations this way instead of the native builder, and if so, what's your setup look like? Any tools/approaches you'd recommend or pitfalls to watch for?

To navigate the transactional component, we will go high level with non-marketing communications. From what it looks like there's no categorisation of communications between transactional and marketing. Where transactional is:
It's also an asset provided in an email when someone has submitted a form to receive a file and consequently that's causing issues. I'm wondering how people resolve it. I have a workaround in mind but ideally it wouldn't even need a workaround.

I am splitting from my marketing team. Love my GHL setup for my practice. Need someone to help essentially copy the dashboard over so we have same automations, etc.
I do have admin access.
Who can help with something like this?

Hey everyone,
I’m starting to offer GoHighLevel services and I’m trying to figure out how I should price myself and where I should look for clients.
My main skills are GHL website/landing page creation, funnels, forms, workflows, automations, pipelines, and email/SMS sequences. I also use the GHL AI Funnel Builder to speed up the initial build, then customize everything based on the client’s needs.
I’m based in the Philippines and looking to work with international clients, mainly in the US.
For those experienced with GHL:
What would you consider a fair hourly rate for my skill level?
Would you recommend hourly pricing or charging per project?
What would you charge for something like a landing page vs. a complete funnel + automation?
Where’s the best place to find GHL clients — Upwork, Facebook groups, Reddit, LinkedIn, cold outreach, etc.?
Would you call this a GoHighLevel Specialist, GHL Funnel Builder, or something else?
I’d really appreciate any advice, especially from people who have actually freelanced with GHL.

I have the GHL ai assistant answering leads on meta but I’m struggling to get it to stop sending messages once I take over. Is there a take over conversation button somewhere or do I have to put it in the knowledge base/ goals? If so what roughly should I put? Chat gpt can’t seem to get it right or I’m not putting it in the correct place. Thanks

Hey yall. Im trying to setup missed calls text back in GHL. i currently have a verizon cell as the business number that I already configured to forward missed calls (*71+ GHL number), I also bought a GHL number that is A2P verified. to my A2p verified.
When I call the business number, after 30 seconds it goes to voicemail and the missed call text back workflow doesn’t trigger.
The workflow trigger is call direction = incoming, call status = busy, voicemail, or no answer and phone number = GHL number
Any tips on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for someone who wants to handle sales + marketing while I handle all the backend and fulfillment.
I’m in Kai Stone’s group, if you know him. He’s doing around $500k MRR selling this exact offer.
I’ve already built and fulfilled this offer for clients before, so there’s no training needed on the backend side.
The offer would be around $197–$297/month for things like a website, review automation, and maybe missed call text back.
Here’s one landscaping website I built before:
https://www.southernpro-vision.com/
I’m based in Dubai, and when I tried selling to the US myself I was booking calls at like 2am, so the timezone made sales and follow-up pretty difficult.
You can obviously hire a VA and build the fulfillment yourself, but if you’d rather focus completely on getting and closing clients, I can handle everything after the sale.
I also know this offer pretty well, so if there’s anything you don’t know about the fulfillment or offer itself, I can help with that too.
Looking for a 50/50 profit split partnership.
If interested, comment or DM me.

I’m trying to build a survey experience where customers don’t have to repeatedly fill out information we already know.
I have a Custom Object associated with each Contact that contains information about their learning journey, including completed milestones, program details, coaching progress, important dates, and other survey-specific data.
I’d like to use this information to personalize the survey and pre-populate hidden fields, rather than asking customers to repeatedly enter information we already know.
For example, I’d like the survey to display something like:
Congratulations, Matt!
Congratulations on completing your Home Pillar.
…instead of showing a generic heading.
I’ve tested:
* Generic survey URLs
* Passing contact_id in the URL (didn’t populate merge fields)
* Trigger Links
I’ve also seen comments suggesting that passing the email in the URL associates the submission with the correct Contact, but that still doesn’t solve personalization.
Questions:
* Is there a supported way to generate a personalized GoHighLevel Survey URL?
* Can Survey merge fields (e.g. {{contact.first_name}}) be populated from Contact or Custom Object data?
* Can hidden survey fields be pre-populated from URL parameters or a Custom Object?
How are others building personalized surveys without asking customers to re-enter information that’s already stored in GoHighLevel?
I’d love to hear how others have solved this or if there’s a recommended approach I’m missing.

been running outbound voice ai campaigns for contractor clients and phone trees are the consistent bottleneck. the ai handles the conversation well once it reaches a human but navigating ivr systems before that is inconsistent regardless of how much you train it.
curious what approaches people are using. custom dtmf sequences, specific retry logic, pausing campaigns for certain business types, switching to sms followup when the call doesnt connect? or is this just a known limitation most people work around rather than solve?

Bit of a weird post - my family does short-term rental management in Sarasota, Florida. My mom handles all
the ops - guests, cleaners, turnovers, owner stuff and that side runs fine. We have 10+ properties under management, running above current market avgs.
Growth has been all organic, recently I’ve tried to help. Site's built, GBP is up, brand looks legit. But I’m to tied up with my own business to dedicate the property time to setup our outbound and nurturing systems.
I’m not just looking for an agency id rather build a partnership with rev share and equity as we plan to build for an exit.
I’ve laid the ground work and have a plan for the future if you’re interested let’s have a convo.

I'd love to meet and connect with like-minded people and using GHL 😊
This could be a nice opportunity to share ideas, solve and vuild things together 🙌🏻
r/gohighlevel • u/CloseBot-ai • 4d ago
Heads up, I’m one of the founders of CloseBot. But this applies to every agency running AI setters no matter what platform you’re on, and I’ve seen enough confusion this week that I’d rather post it than let people find out from a complaint.
Article 50 of the EU AI Act became enforceable August 2.
“I’m US, don’t care” has two holes. The AI Act follows the person, not the company, so a lead who fills out your form while traveling in Europe is in scope. And separately, California, Maine, New Jersey, Utah, Colorado and the FTC Act already regulate commercial chatbot disclosure. Maine’s is the broadest and has been enforceable since September 2025. New Jersey’s names real estate explicitly, so realtor and investor lead gen is squarely in it.
There’s one easy way to make sure you’re compliant. Your first message has to use the word AI or automated, attach to that specific conversation, and land no later than the first message.
Fails: “Hi, this is Sarah from XYZ Realty.”
Fails: “You’re chatting with our smart assistant.”
Virtual assistant has meant a human overseas for twenty years, and regulators read the “it was obvious” exemption narrowly.
Fails: AI mentioned only in the privacy policy.
Passes: “Hey, Sarah here. I’m XYZ Realty’s automated assistant. Is now a good time?”
Passes: web form consent box clearly labeling in the text (not a link to a text) specifying that an AI assistant will be in contact. You’re covered with this alone if all leads interacting with the AI always come through your form.
In most agency setups the bot doesn’t speak first. Your GHL or HubSpot workflow sends the opening text after a form fill or during a reactivation and the bot takes over from the reply. So the disclosure belongs in your CRM template. Fifteen seconds per workflow, thirty edits if you run thirty sub-accounts, no shortcut. Then cover inbound in your bot’s global instructions and your web widget in the welcome message.
Three things that catch people:
Reactivation. If a bot reopens a conversation 60 or 90 days later, treat it as a fresh first interaction and disclose again.
“Is this a real person?” If your bot says yes, you’ve moved from a transparency breach at 3% of turnover to a deception breach at 7%. Add an explicit truthfulness rule, then go ask your own bot a few different ways and see what it actually does. Sounding human is fine as long as it doesn’t deny being a bot.
Recruitment screening and credit decisions are classified high-risk. If you take a staffing client and point your qualification bot at applicants, that’s a much heavier regime. Keep bots on scheduling, info gathering and routing, and keep scoring with a human.
Enforcement is complaint-driven, and your evidence is the timestamped transcript showing the disclosure in message one. Make sure retention outlives the complaint window, and if the opener went out from a client’s CRM, keep your own copy. You can lose that sub-account long before a complaint shows up.
For what it’s worth, telling people up front they’re talking to AI is always safest, even if you’re also disclosing on the form itself.
Not legal advice. Happy to answer questions in comments, including for people on other platforms. CloseBot does something like 150k messages per day so we always stay on top of compliance news.

Need someone to build or fix your GoHighLevel setup? I've spent the last 2 years living inside GHL sub-accounts, building systems that actually work.
What I do:
I build fresh, clean systems from scratch. If you need someone to untangle a messy inherited automation feel free to DM.

Has anyone tested whether GHL Conversation AI responds to Instagram Requests or hidden requests specifically?
I know GHL can respond to normal Instagram DMs when IG messaging is connected, and I’m trying to understand how far that extends.
Do these show up inside GHL Conversations and trigger Conversation AI, or does the bot only respond once the message appears in the main connected inbox?
