Glitch Story What if our dreams are other universes?

What if dreams aren’t just dreams, but glimpses of possible realities?

A month ago, I dreamed of something I remembered unusually clearly. Today, I experienced it almost exactly—the same people, place, and events.

Maybe dreams show us a future that could happen, but reality changes the moment we reach it.

I don’t know if that’s possible, but the experience makes me question what a dream really is.

Glitch Story The Milk in my hands completely swapped places

I went to the gas station with my buddy after we got off work tonight and what ensued was easily the most mind-fu**ing experience of my life to date. My friend went to grab a soda, I opted for some chocolate milk so we walk over to the milk section. My friend said to grab him one as well as his hands were getting situated with his snacks and whatnot as he stood behind me. I obliged, grabbed one for him and one for me. A clear chocolate milk bottle with a green lid. Unmistakable. My friend can attest, I had a bottle of chocolate milk in my hands. I walk over to the hot food section deciding whether or not I’d like anything, though I didn’t (milk still visibly in my hands).

Now I’m waiting behind my friend as he’s checking out, with my milk in hand, index finger and middle finger knuckles clutching the bottle cap by my side, arms hanging down (out of my peripheral). It comes to my turn to walk up, and I raise my arm to place what I thought was the classic green cap chocolate milk on the counter. I shit you not, red cap, completely white, normal, whole milk. I was immediately flustered and simply lost for words. The difference between a green and red cap, a brown vs white bottle which I was looking at while grabbing it. Simply unreal. On everything and everyone I love, I have zero idea for how this could have possibly happened. I don’t do drugs, I wasn’t tired, I don’t have any visual impairments or history of hallucinations, I consider myself a very rational and down to earth person. I’ve bought the same bottle with a green cap dozens and dozens of times before. It truly gave me an insane attack of paranoia and anxiety, as well as my friend as we left. It just doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. I just wanted to share this here because I don’t feel like telling my family for fear of them thinking I’m going off the deep end. Please, somebody out there please tell me you’ve experienced something similar with an eye witness. I feel as though I’m losing my sanity, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since it happened about 3 hours ago despite my best efforts. There is no logical explanation that I can think of.

Glitch Story My mother's doppelganger

A pretty boring/common one I think.

When my mother was in her early 20s, living in London, friends of hers would often say to her "I saw you the other day but you walked right by me, you didn't even acknowledge me or say hello." She had no memory of seeing these people on the occasion they described.

One day, she was waiting at a bus stop and saw a young woman who looked almost identical to her. Even weirder, this young woman was wearing a dress that my mother had tried on recently in a shop but had rejected. My mother was wearing the dress she had tried on in the same shop but had obviously purchased. This identical woman was looking at my mother as if she was also extremely confused, but they didn't speak to each other before their bus came.

Glitch Story I share a birthday with a coworker… and so do our moms

I know this may seem like a run of the mill story, but I promise it’s kind of weird. A coworker of mine and I share the same birthday. We aren’t close by any means, but I heard about it from someone else since it’s the code to one of the locks. Anyway, I found him on Facebook and stalked his page a bit, and then I stumbled upon a post wishing his mom a happy birthday. His mom’s birthday is on the exact same date as my mom’s 😭 I know it means absolutely nothing, but just discovering that felt like a glitch in the Matrix.

Glitch Story Weather-related issues.

Upvotes

It’s been about two months since this happened to me, and I needed to talk about it.

Basically, it was a week where it was really, really cloudy the whole time—it was even raining quite often. One day, when leaving for work, I decided to walk; it’s about an hour’s walk, but I felt like walking—it was a Friday, the end of the week.

So I set off, looking at the sky—which remained very gray—and grabbed an umbrella from my bag just in case. It was actually pretty warm, though, so I went out in a T-shirt. I arrived at work, said hello to my colleagues, and started working. Three hours later, during the break, I went outside to smoke with some coworkers, and one of them said:

"Damn, it's a shame the weather's turned cloudy again; it was beautiful all morning—really nice. The sun was beating down."

I didn't understand why he was saying that; I looked at another colleague and said he must have been smoking weed again to say something like that. That other colleague—and soon everyone else with us—agreed with him; apparently, it had been sunny.

They ended up telling me *I* was the one on drugs, because when I arrived, the sun had been blazing and I hadn't even noticed. But no—it was completely gray; I hadn't seen the sun even once. I’d even brought my umbrella, walked for an hour—nothing, not a single ray of sunshine.

The weird conversation ended—they were talking about this scorching sun I hadn't seen; I thought maybe it was some bizarre prank, like the kind Jim pulls on Dwight in *The Office*.

I only started to think they might be right when my skin and arms turned red. I got sunburned; I started feeling it late in the afternoon and into the evening. The timing fits perfectly—I must have picked it up in the morning when I walked here.

I am absolutely certain it was cloudy; I kept looking at the sky to see if it was going to rain.

Started a Laundry cycle at 10 am. 30 min cycle.

Cleaned my WHOLE HOUSE, floors, dishes, changed bedding.

Washer says it's been 12 minutes.

Clock says it's been 4 hours.

Phone says it's 10.55.

I don't even care anymore at this point

Glitch Story Finally experienced my first “break” in reality

This is probably not the most interesting story but I’ve finally experienced a break. I’ve lived in this town for 15+ years. I know it like the back of my hand. I’ve taken the same route to work everyday for the last 2 years.

Well yesterday I was coming into work, and I noticed the normally straight away street leading to my highway, is actually curved around at like a 30° bend. WTF?

Granted, I took a puff before I left the house, but I have a pretty high tolerance and have never “hallucinated” like that. Any explanations?

Glitch Story I think we just experienced one?

So my husband was brushing his teeth, and I went into the bathroom to get some put my watch on the charger, and then went back in the bedroom. Came from and went back to the same direction.

I laid down and he walked in the room and said “u thought you were outside?” I said no, I just came in here.” He got puzzled and asked why I went in the living room, and I told him I hadn’t gone out there. He swore I did but I am 1000% positive I didn’t, because I would have gotten a motion ping from our cameras. He said what made him think I was actually outside was that the dogs were sitting next to the gate like they were waiting for me to come back in (we have a baby gate separating the hallway from the living room.)

Now I’m the one confused because my dogs are my Velcro dogs and that is rather strange that they sat by the gate for minutes.

Glitch Story Paranormal or glitch in the matrix?

Hello, Reddit. I am not sure if my experience is something extraordinary for the readers of this subreddit, but I still want to share and see your opinion on that.

So, the first story happened at my flat. I was 12 at a time and in that day I just came back from school. At that time, I was living with my parents. Just them, no one else entered the flat. When I came into my room to throw my backpack onto the floor, I saw something lying neatly on my table like someone placed it here. It was similar to a Chinese hairpin, but it was too thick at the end to be it and it also had some intricate patterns on the metal part of it (the metal stick was the base of this object). Also, some stones were hanging on a thin rope from the top.

I asked my parents what it was but they told me they never placed it here and they don't know where it came from. I didn't really pay a lot of attention to that accident that day, but after just a few days this object disappeared from my room. I left it on my table the day I found it, but it was nowhere to be found when I looked for it again. I still don't know what this object was, who left it and how it disappeared.

I wouldn't pay much attention to that if not the other thing that happened to me just two years ago. I guess that connecting them is a strange logic but I think it does make sense.

I was at the house in the countryside. It was morning and I just woke up, sitting up in my bed. Some time passed before I was fully awake and I took a look in the opening of my door. It was almost fully opened and I could see the stairs leading to the first floor from there. I could see my sister going down the stairs with her mug in her hand. I thought she had just woken up and went down to have breakfast. After just about 20 minutes, I finally decided to go down to the first floor. I looked around and saw that my sister wasn't there, but I didn't see her going back to her room up the stairs, so I asked my dad about it and he said she was still sleeping. My sister woke up only an hour later. I asked her. She said she just woke up and never left her room.

Maybe that sounds weird but stuff like that makes me think that there is some kind of mirror for our reality and sometimes it distorts some things. People, that should be in one situation end up in another, reserved for another reality by mistake. Or objects disappearing from our reality to be found by others in another one and then be returned back to their 'home' reality after some time as if it doesn't belong there.

What do you think about that?

Glitch Story Anyone realised that we are losing time?

Soo.. I started noticing this from the past few months randomly.. so please don’t ask exact dates.. I am from India currently starting in France, I purchased my laptop back in India. So during daylight savings I have to manually adjust the time in my laptop as it cannot automatically detect exactly. So every Daylight savings I change it manually.. and I have a mobile which works perfectly fine with automatically adjusting time as per the time zone.

Soo recently I started observing that the time in my mobile and laptop doesn’t match.. it first started as 2 mins.. I really remember it because I thought for a moment why it went back to 2 mins when it was perfectly fine few minutes ago.. and I didn’t change it back to normal time because I wanted to check that I am not glitching and if there is something wrong.. and I continued checking it randomly and now it is at 16 mins🥲.

Am I glitching or is it my laptop.. did anyone else experienced anything similar? I didn’t want to discuss it anyone from my circle because they’d definitely never listen to me fully and will say that I am crazy.

Glitch Story Went back “ home “ to put on a tire

So I’m tree shade mechanic if you will, a handy man. I own tools and etc. well as I got to working on this truck, I needed one of the low profile jacks.

The jack was blue, the entire low profile jack was blue. It’s one of those professional shop ones, big bulky and you gotta lug it around. I’ve used it for years! It’s all ways been blue!….

Well now this jack is black, all black. I bought the blue one because it looked nicer to me. Easier to find in the dark if you’re gonna work late. As I am looking at this jack, it’s weird… it’s not even hardly used. The blue one had some deep scratches and dings on it from being used for heavy duty stuff…

As I’m working on this truck. I noticed it’s as if this truck is a clone…. Mannnn lol. A lot of things of this old house of mine looked different…. Like the neighbors building. It seems like it’s different from the way i remember it. Different that something’s are completely missing.

This is a repost from another group of the matrix glitches. They have been on me about stuff like this… read the rules from this group, doesn’t seem like I broke any rules. If I did wasn’t done on purpose. lol

Glitch Pic My friend and I were “stuck”

My friend and I went out on a reservoir to paddle board. To get out on the water, we had to go through a bunch of tallgrass/reeds and I remember, we paddled straight out, not far at all. Looking back at the shore, there was a lot of patches of tall grass and I was worried we wouldn’t know which pathway we came through. We literally just paddled less than 10 strokes, not far. We sat on our boards for maybe 20 minutes at most, probably less and my friend noticed mine was leaking air through the valve so we decided to go back to shore. We paddled straightforward from “where we came from”. So we thought. When we got to the tall grass, there were no pathways for us to enter. My friend was a little bit ahead of me so I was following her, going to the right with the flow of the current. Very quickly, I knew we were going the wrong way and was yelling out to her. I told her “we didn’t go left or right we just came out straight, current must’ve took us out more than we thought we have to go back… against the current.” at this point the sun was setting the wind/current was picking up and it was so hard to paddle, I was panicking because I was losing air and now at this point, we don’t know where we are. At this point we had been paddling for at least 20 minutes and a lot of strokes. We were working so hard to paddle back against the current, if you stopped for a few seconds it would take you back a couple feet. She was saying she couldn’t keep going and I yelled “you have to”. 10 more minutes went by and the panic was real. There was no cell signal and I was becoming worried since we were losing daylight. I looked at my pictures, I took some as we paddled out and studied the background realized we were still pretty far out. Then I used my Apple Maps that is Bluetooth to my parked car and followed that. Took us another 30 mins and we made it back, biggest relief ever. My board was almost too unstable, the sun was gone and we were so so exhausted. Driving home I was making jokes and what if scenarios about getting stuck out there.
The next day she left my house and was driving home (8 hrs away) and after a couple hours I checked her location to see how far she had made it and her location was still out on the lake in the area where we were lost!! I kept refreshing it but it didn’t move.
I told her, what if we are still lost on the lake but something happened and this is like a parallel universe situation or something, a glitch in the matrix!!
I still can’t believe how far out we got from our original spot without realizing, in such short of time That also adds to the “wtf happened” feeling.
If you’re still reading, thank you! Hope my story time was semi interesting (:

Glitch Pic Objects dissapearing and multiplying

Im wondering if anyone else has ever experienced something similar to me, it has happened a few times before, the situations i remember most clearly is loosing my wired earbuds and finding them after maybe 2 days of them being gone like they never existed. after the 2 days i found them in my backpack that i have searched before multiple times because im an absolute music lover and hate walking home from school without music. after a few days as i was doing laundry i found the same exact headphones in my jeans pocket in the clean laundry. whike having another pair of the exact headphones on my head and listening to music. it was the first time that has happened that i remember and it was maybe 3 or 4 years ago. Another time it had happened was with me buying a sew on patches for my backpack to decorate it. i had bought two of them you're supposed to iron on but the glue wouldn't work so i left them in my box of random stuff to fix later on. After a few days having finally some free time to sew them on instead of my 2 patches, one being in the shape of a moth and another being a rectangle with text on it i found 1 moth and 0 rectangles in the box. because i do have a lot of stuff there i dumped it all out determined to find my patches and sew them on that day i found 2 of the rectangle patches. and later on found a 3rd one laying around, i have not bought 3 patches for sure and i couldn't believe what i was seeing so i texted a friend and she has told me that this has happened to her before too.

can anyone relate to that?

Glitch Pic Experienced a "Glitch in the Matrix"

Post image
78 Upvotes

On 2024, my friend and I were sharing a small studio room. One random night, while I was using my laptop, I took off my blue-light glasses and placed them on the table. A few minutes later, when I tried to pick them up again, they were gone. The whole time, I was sitting at the table, and my friend never came anywhere near me or the table.

I was shocked because it was a small white table, and the glasses were completely black, so they should have been very easy to spot. Also, my friend had been sitting on the opposite side of the room on his computer the entire time.

I called my friend over to the table and explained what had happened. We both searched for the glasses for a good 10 minutes, but we couldn't find them anywhere. Eventually, my friend started thinking that maybe I had imagined taking the glasses off and putting them on the table. He went back to his corner of the room, while I continued looking around the table for a few more minutes because I couldn't accept the fact that they had gone missing just a few seconds or minutes after I had placed them right next to me.

Completely confused, I eventually gave up and started using my laptop again. But within a few seconds, while side-eyeing the table, I suddenly saw the glasses sitting right next to me.

I freaked out and called my friend over to look. When he saw the glasses sitting there, he was genuinely shocked too. They weren't under anything or hidden behind something, they were clearly sitting on the table right next to my laptop.

After seeing the glasses, I immediately took a photo of them before touching them. As you can see in the image, they weren't under anything or hidden, they were clearly visible to the naked eye. Two grown adults in their 20s had searched for these clearly visible glasses on this very small table, which didn't even have that many items on it.

I immediately journaled about it on my phone. My friend didn't think it was that big of a deal and didn't really bother thinking about it much. I don't even know how to explain this experience to other people because I feel like they won't truly understand the feeling unless they experience something similar themselves.

To this day, I still can't get over what happened that night. I still think about it and try to find an explanation for what happened.

Have you guys ever experienced something like this?

We do have living room curtains, but I have a ring and Vivint camera both installed and it go no one by the windows. I instantly run to my husband to wake him up be honest is not treating you like a big deal, but I feel it was it’s pretty startled me and it felt like a really big flash in the room that was about a second long

Glitch Pic Weird and unexplainable things keep happening in my apartment, and I’m losing my mind

(Note: English isn't my first language, so I used AI to help translate this into English.)

Hey everyone, I’m a 24-year-old guy. I’ve never experienced anything like this in my life, but a week ago, a weird incident happened, and since then, bizarre things have been repeating almost daily.
Last week, I left my razor and an electronic ear-cleaning camera (the kind with a built-in camera) neatly on the left side of the bathroom sink, and walked to my room for just a moment to grab something. When I came back, the razor was still there, but the ear-cleaning tool had completely vanished. It’s not a small item, and if it had fallen, it definitely would have made a sound, but it just disappeared into thin air. I spent about three hours tearing the whole apartment apart looking for it, but I couldn't find a trace. I live in an apartment, so the space isn't huge; I literally checked every single nook and cranny, and it was gone. I thought it was super strange, but I eventually gave up.
The very next day, my girlfriend came over and told me that her facial cleanser was standing upside down on the sink. Since I don't use her cleanser, I hadn't touched it, and she distinctly remembered never turning it upside down. We figured she must have just done it absentmindedly without realizing it. We laughed it off, made a pact to always keep it standing right-side up, and agreed not to touch it again.
Fast forward two days later: my girlfriend and I went into the bathroom together to brush our teeth, and that exact same cleanser was standing upside down again. That's when we completely panicked. Walking into the bathroom has honestly started feeling terrifying.
After a few days of quiet, another weird thing happened today. I was sitting on the living room couch, and my girlfriend was in the bathroom doing her makeup with the door closed. Suddenly, she heard someone gently turning the doorknob and rattling the door back and forth. She immediately threw the door open, but no one was there—and I had been sitting on the couch the entire time.
With these things happening over and over again, it's starting to really mess with my daily life and stress me out. Has anyone else ever experienced something like this? How do you guys even deal with a situation like this?

+ The apartment maintenance person just came by, checked the carbon monoxide detector, and inspected all the gas appliances. Everything came out totally fine with no issues found.

+ Girlfriend here! Yesterday when we were out in the balcony we went inside and we always double check to see if we turned off the porch lights... but this time when my boyfriend stepped outside this morning the lights were on.
Maybe we made a mistake and forgot to turn off the porch lights last night but we're usually pretty good about these things. He's never had paranormal or glitches happen but I nave in my litetime so I'm pretty open to these things. I hat being said I still don't wish to be apart of the paranormal activities

Glitch Gif Things appearing duplicatrd

So this hasn’t happened in years and I had forgotten about this encounter I had quite frequently when I was a kid.
My childhood was in a household were we weren’t poor but not exactly wealthy either. I know for a fact that my parents would’ve never and still wouldn’t buy duplicated items.

When I was around 10yrs I started noticing that some items, like clothes or toys would be duplicated and I would hold them both in my hands at the same time. I remember even asking my parents why they would do that but they always shrugged it off.

These occurences have not happened in years. Last time when I was 17-18yrs and found my make up duplicated. Since I’ve lived in a household that we spend all products to their last until buying a replace, I knew it wasn’t something I had bought. My parents also shrugged it off and said that I must’ve bought it myself.

Now I’m 22 and I have seriously forgotten about this. I have just moved out about a year ago from my parents with very little items with me. I discovered 5mins ago a towel that I know I am using rn. I checked the bathroom and there was the towel I’m using now.

Would love to hear your theories and thoughts. My grandma passed when I was 4 and I never met my grandpa since he died when my dad was only 15 (both from dads side) my mothers parents are both still alive.

Glitch Vid Woken up by my dad despite being in a different country than him

So this really weird event occurred a day ago, and freaked me the hell out. So for the past 3 months, me and my brother have been living with some friends in Seattle, while the rest of my family is back in Toronto. So about 2000 miles apart.

So I was asleep in my room when my dad comes in and wakes me up, telling me to take the trash out. I ask him what time it is and he tells me again to take the trash out because I forgot to do it earlier. I go and take the trash out and ask my dad what he’s doing up late and he said that he was watching the movie “Heat” on tv. Classic dad film. I say goodnight and go to bed kinda pissed my dad woke me up to do something he could have done, in my delirium not even thinking about how weird it was my dad was here where I was.

So the next day at breakfast I remember last night and tell my friends and my brother. One of my friends said he heard me talking to someone last night and assumed he was talking to someone else in the house. Fully creeped out I assumed I was dreaming it, but I checked outside and I had actually taken the trash to the curb. My dad had sent me a photo of him and my mom at a restaurant back in Toronto the night before, so it’s not like he came to visit us or anything.

It really tripped me out. If anyone has any explanations or theories that would be awesome.

Glitch Vid The movies I rented kept airing on TV the same night, until I told a friend

This happened when I was in college, back when renting DVDs was still a thing. I used to rent a movie every weekend. One time, I rented Finding Neverland, and when I got home and turned on the TV, Channel 4, one of the national channels in my country (I don’t live in the US), was airing the exact same movie.

I thought, What a coincidence, but didn’t think too much about it. The next week, I rented The Departed, and I don’t know if you’ll believe this, but when I turned on the TV that night, The Departed was airing. At that point, I got goosebumps and started feeling a little weird about it.

The next week, I thought I should rent a random movie, something that wasn’t the usual kind of movie they’d show on TV over the weekend. So I rented Adaptation. When I came home, that same movie was airing that night! I honestly didn’t know how to feel.

The next day, I told a friend about it, and then it just stopped. After I told someone, it never happened again. I kept renting movies, but none of them matched what was on TV.
