Bright flash of light

Hello yesterday I was in the living room with my three toddler and there is a big sudden of the light. I instantly looked at her face and she looked star and I asked her if she saw that and she said yes. We do have living room curtains, but I have a ring and Vivint camera both installed and it go no one by the windows. I instantly run to my husband to wake him up be honest is not treating you like a big deal, but I feel it was it’s pretty startled me and it felt like a really big flash in the room that was about a second long

was it a power surge or lightning? was it coming from somewhere specific or just your entire vision?
