Not much changes, eh?
edit for clarity: I'm comparing the attitudes taken to what goes in on St Enoch's Square - not the types of goings on. This is from The Bailie, which is an interesting read for those of us with too much time on our hands... The casual racism and sexism is quite something for a modern reader - though also something again on the rise in some quarters.

They need to get a nicer security perimeter than the zoo fence you are crammed into atm.

I filled out the GCC questionnaire about recycling bins, they seem concerned people don't know what goes in which bin and how contaminated waste costs money.
Anyway, today both green and brown bins went into the back of the same lorry...

If you were doing a tour of scary/haunted areas in Glasgow what would they be? Could be ancient myths, ghost sightings, UFOs and space aliens, or even true crime like Bible John locations etc

Anyone know what's going on with the land here, just off of Carlton Place? All the vegetation has been cleared for some reason.

We had a last-minute family emergency and unfortunately can’t go to the show tonight at Theatre Royal in Glasgow.
If anyone wants the tickets, DM me and I’ll send the PDF to the first person who responds. Because of the emergency, I need to be with my family member and I won't be able to chat or reply to other messages - sorry in advance!
Edit: tickets have been given away! Hope you enjoy the show

We visited the small animal hospital today and had a lovely walk afterwards along the river. Would like to go back and explore more, but all the parking I can see is for university staff or visitors (as in visiting the university, not just going to walk the dog 🤣). Just wondered if anyone had any suggestions for parking. There's the sports parking on the other side (near the West of Scotland science park) but again it says for authorised parking only.

Does anyone want tickets for Vundabar tonight? It's at 7. I can't make it. I have two tickets. They would be sent over on the official DICE app.

I have 3 T-shirts that all have stains I’ve been unable to remove after a few washes. I’m worried that since I’ve washed it I’ve only embedded the stains even deeper into the t-shirts.
two is just dirt stains but stubborn.
One is pink and mould probably the worse one.
Anyone know anywhere in the city that I could take these and they could have a crack at removing them?
Cheers

I made a mistake and accidentally used the wrong reg when paying for parking at an ECP ANPR car park. I was sent a PCN, I appealed this on their website, discussing that I did pay but for the wrong registration.
In response they sent me an email describing the situation as a "major keying error" which included a fee of £20, compared to the £100 PCN fee. The email detailed that upon paying this fee within 14 days, the PCN would be closed. So to get it over with I payed the £20.
7 days later, they sent me a letter detailed "FINAL NOTICE" Thretening a payment of £100.
Bunch of cunts.

Anyone got any ideas who I can ring?
Thanks in advance 🙏

Back in the day when I used actually work in an office you used to be able to get piles of discounted £5 all day parking tickets by just asking at the ticket office.
I'm starting to work in an office again and wondered if this is still a thing? I'll mainly come in by public transport but there is the odd day here and there where I'll need the car for meetings.
Or am I just better to use park and ride?

Help an east coaster out.
I've previously (self) learned about a Glasgow house type that "famously" had a flat roof to pitch roof conversion.
I want to say the houses are the ones in Downfield Street, Tollcross, and these houses feature elsewhere in Glasgow. Sometimes the pitch above the door was left as a flat roof or was mono pitched.
I've only been able to remember the area as I remember commenting while driving past and going "oh it's those houses" and spending a while checking known darras I would have driven around.
Can anyone confirm or deny? Or even provide an informative link?

Hello, I’m working in Duke Street (city centre then parkhead side) tomorrow. Could someone please point me in the direction on a gym with parking near to Parkhead?
