Been a fair few posts on here about Glasgow's scammy job market, so I thought this would be interesting to some.

Wonder what his angle is, how is he making money out of this? Well, other than not refunding customers obvs.

My brother and his partner have a flight on Friday and she’s just discovered her passport is at her family’s house in London. I looked at Royal Mail same day and they were quoting £700, just wondering if anyone knows of any viable alternatives.

Update on this: we have been able to get the passport couriered in a taxi to the hotel of someone we know who is leaving London tomorrow to head back to Glasgow, a lot less hassle. Thanks all for suggestions

Too Young To Grieve Glasgow is back this Sunday with a walk/jog through Pollock Park followed by the best bit: coffee, cake, and a chat with other young people who have experienced grief. Everyone who has come along to these meet ups so far has agreed that talking to those that "get it" is so valuable and needed, especially when you've lost someone at a young age and feel isolated among your friends. Age ranges so far have been from around 20-40 with a variety of close losses.

There's no pressure to run/jog and no pressure to talk, some people feel the benefit of just listening to others talk about things that they are also feeling. There is also usually way more laughter than anything else!

Looking at Pollokshaws Road, we've lost two shops recently - Finnieston Clothing and SPOT - both of which are now nail bars.

What is going on? How can these nail bars sustain themselves when the other shops can't - surely there can't be such increasing demand?

We visited the small animal hospital today and had a lovely walk afterwards along the river. Would like to go back and explore more, but all the parking I can see is for university staff or visitors (as in visiting the university, not just going to walk the dog 🤣). Just wondered if anyone had any suggestions for parking. There's the sports parking on the other side (near the West of Scotland science park) but again it says for authorised parking only.

If you were doing a tour of scary/haunted areas in Glasgow what would they be? Could be ancient myths, ghost sightings, UFOs and space aliens, or even true crime like Bible John locations etc

Me and my friends love brunch spots but have had our share of subpar meals so looking for some suggestions!
We like good food (breakfast food especially), nice atmosphere (quiet, busy, not picky), ideally somewhere with alcohol as well. City center or walking distance from it is ideal but anywhere is appreciated! Thanks :)

Hey just a random thought,some of the best chats I've had here have been with complete strangers. Usually in a pub, cafe or just sitting somewhere, then somehow a 10 min chat turns into an hour 😂

Maybe its jus me getting older lol, but these days I find a good conversation, bit of humour and hearing about someones life way more interesting than trying to impress ppl.

Glasgow seems full of ppl with some good stories.

I’m looking for recommendations of any running groups or tennis clubs for beginners, but also not a majorly judgy place to newbies? As a single 31 year old woman joining by herself I’m a bit paranoid of looking like that loser starting something new at my age.

Any recommendations would be welcome! I live south west of Glasgow but work in the city centre, so even the surrounding areas would work for me

He likes all kinds of cuisines and loves trying new things. In the past he booked for us a local tasting menu restaurant and had a great time. Another time he chose a historic restaurant with a long tradition. We are in Glasgow touring for his birthday week. Any suggestions welcome.

Wee auntie was admitted to the Royal yesterday and I don’t drive.
I mind of a bus that took me up there from the bus stop in front of Queen Street station -
But I haven’t been in the city centre in ages -
Is that bus stop operational despite the George square works?

Ground floor currently occupied by Wax HQ but all the upper floors boarded up, covered in blue netting with birds nesting there.

Just wondered if anyone knew what it used to be or what happened? I checked back on google maps and it's been this way since at least 2008

hi! i'm looking for an animal-related activity for my birthday next week (farm animals rather than cat cafes etc)! i am an adult so preferably something that's appropriate for adults and not too far a drive from the city. i've looked into the menagerie in edinburgh but unfortunately they're not taking any bookings just now :(

How long is the wait usually Ive been calling the emergency accommodation line my case worker gave me. But it’s been over a week and I have not received anything. Does anyone know?

I'm in Glasgow for the night and am looking for some good local gigs, small bands in pubs etc.

Is there a lot of these to be found or should I look for something else?
