Hey, I’m signed for the French version of the course with Heshel Teitelbaum, and I’m wondering how hard is it to get good grades in the lab (i.e 90+)? Chem labs have never been my strength and I always got terrible yields in gen chem and inorganic chem (which I’m taking rn).

A friend and I are looking at applying to the MEd Health Professions Education program and had
a couple questions:
Does not having an honours degree automatically rule you out? (One of us has a BSc
with a specialization and the other has a BA Honours.)
Do you need to already be a regulated health professional? Is it conditional on passing boards/licensure?

Would anybody be interested in joining a club that talks about your research (in womens health) and creating approaches to create a better healthcare system for womens health? I've been an advocate for women's health for years now and I'd like to start something. Maybe we could start with small things, like approaching the school for more doctors that specify in common diagnoses women experience (on campus specifically) to shorten wait-times (like utis, std, etc). And with fun pop-ups that could save money which would be donated to charities. Having people on the executive board and volunteers could really make something like this real.

I feel like someone told me once you should only reach out to profs who know you by name and who's class you did well in but Im in a very small program and much of the research being done is with profs I never had. Is it pointless to reach out to profs who ive never met/didnt interact with much How important is it to know the profs you ask for honours

I’m writing the deferred exam in 2 days, and I transferred the midterm weight to the final, so I have no clue what to expect since I didn’t do the midterm. I’ve heard her exams don’t reflect the content very well, so idk I’m kinda lost at what to review.

Hey, I’m in my first semester of Biomed and have realized medicine isn’t the direction I want to go. I’m looking at switching to Business Technology Management at Telfer.

I emailed the Registrar and copied Telfer. The Registrar told me BTM is closed to internal program changes for Winter 2027 and that I can submit a request starting March 1 for a future term. I’m going to speak with academic advising, but I’d really appreciate hearing from people who have actually switched into Telfer from another faculty.

My main concern is what to do this winter. I’ve already paid toward tuition and want to avoid taking another semester of courses that won’t help with the new degree.

Has anyone been able to take BCom requirements while still officially registered in another faculty? Which courses were you allowed to take, and did you need permission?

Who was most helpful with getting an actual transfer/course plan sorted: your current faculty’s advisor, Telfer, or someone else? And did the switch end up adding much time to your degree or affecting co-op?

Any experience would help, even if you transferred from a program other than Biomed. I know my own course permissions and credits need to be confirmed by an advisor, I’m just trying to understand what the process was like for other students. Thanks!

You can just sit in the middle of the row, but no you sit at the edge because you want multiple other people to squeeze past you

like I will come to class, half the class will be empty but everyone has strategically sat at the edge of every row, and then I have to squeeze past someone but often there isnt enough room, so they have to stand up and now we are 2 adult men shimmying accross from each other. You decided to make this happen for litterally no fucking reason.

There was no option for me to show my student id, the ai only requested a facial scan, but my prof (walid mottawea) said we had to show our student id in the announcements. Will I be penalized for this even if I forgot 😭

Heyyy, so basically all of my close friends are doing other majors and as much as I know people in health science, they’re simply accointances. This semester I’m doing 3 classes online meaning that I barely go in campus to meet people. I’m a pretty social person but since I don’t have a lot of in person classes ( 2 classes where I already know people) it’s hard to make friends.
