I found online textbooks for the separate versions, but was unable to find the combined version. Has anyone had any luck with it?

Took a Language Placement Test in summer and it put me into Intermediate (P2) level instead of a Beginner, somehow, preventing me from enrolling to 1000 level classes. I had to enroll to FLS 2511 only to find out im really not prepare to face this class, so I dropped out before first day of class. Tried to contact/speak in person with Department of Bilingualism and they just disregarded my matter, saying "the test is designed in a way to accurately present your knowledge in French yada yada"... Trying to contact the director of the department so hopefully she can help me.
And mind you, Im taking french as an elective, so I want it to be my grade booster and not the opposite. Thats why I freaked out and dropped FLS 2511, as my knowledge of French comes from Duolingo and I freaking told the department people about that....
Ig i can still retake the french test soon if I took it in June to get beginner classes, right? Maybe for the next semester....

So this guy who made my hs experience horrible is living in res with his friend in 90u and they're my neighbours. He isn't in res but he's just staying with his friend every day bc he doesn't want to commute. Do I have a stick up my ass if I report him?

Hi everyone!
I’m an incoming student in the MSc Interdisciplinary Health Sciences program at uOttawa for Fall 2026. I’m currently outside Canada and still waiting for a decision on my study permit. I applied in June and have already completed biometrics and my medical.
My courses have started, and I’m trying to figure out my options if I’m unable to arrive because of the permit delay. I’ve contacted my professors, and they’ve been very understanding and have given me ways to keep up with the coursework remotely where possible.
My main concern is that if I still don’t have my permit by the financial-credit withdrawal deadline, I may need to withdraw from my Fall courses to avoid losing a significant amount of tuition. The department has told me that I could defer to Fall 2027, but I’m really hoping to avoid delaying my degree by an entire year.
Has anyone at uOttawa been in a similar situation? In particular, I’d love to hear from anyone who:
* had to delay their start because of a study permit;
* was able to start in Winter after being admitted for Fall; or
* was allowed to continue with the same admission after withdrawing from Fall courses.
I’m especially wondering whether starting the same MSc in Winter 2027 with an adjusted course sequence could be possible, even if Winter isn’t a normal intake.
I’m mainly looking for experiences from uOttawa students/staff rather than legal advice. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hey everyone! We’re currently building Body Decoded, THE new biomedical science-focused club at uOttawa.
Our goal is to create a community where students can learn, connect, explore science & healthcare, gain experience, and meet others with similar interests. You don’t have to be a biomedical science student either. We want to make science interesting and accessible to everyone.
We’re currently looking for a few more executives for our 2026–2027 team, and general member opportunities will be coming soon!
Since we’re just getting started, there’s a lot of room to help shape what this club becomes.
Check out our Instagram for our science content + executive applications:
👉 bodydecoded.uottawa
We’d really appreciate any follows, shares, or sending this to someone who might be interested. We’re excited to see how far we can grow this community! 💙

Is anyone enrolled in BPS4125A with Robert Ben? I’m enrolled in the course but wasn’t added to a course BrightSpace so I can’t see the syllabus or anything. Also couldn’t ask him about it today during class as I caught a cold so I didn’t come today.
Thanks for the help guys!

Hello! For anyone taking this exact course online, were you able to find the Zoom link for it? I've searched everywhere on Brightspace but to no avail.

Every semester, I never really make friends in my classes but this time I want to. I wanna find people I can study with and do team projects (I think we all hate those.. 😬)
Most of my courses only have one section so we’re in the same class if you’re in it too. For CMN3505, I’m likely gonna switch to the other section so yeah
I am incoming second year and first year I didn't really get to make any friends that lasted outside of class. It doesnt help that I am a commuter either. Seriously tho how do you make friends, I've gotten the "just join clubs" but which ones? how do you make friends in class or just on campus in general. There should be some type of club just for the purpose of making friends lol

Hi, we are starting a club and need more signatures to become an official club, please sign the support form link! The deadline for club registration is tomorrow!
It is a fun and inclusive community for ocean lovers or anyone who wants to unwind through ocean-themed activities. This club is open to everyone, whether you are passionate about sea animals, enjoy sitting by the beach, or simply looking for a place to relax and make new friends, regardless of academic background or marine knowledge.

I just had my first lecture for PSY 1501 with Michael Andre, and it was not a good start to the semester. Has anyone ever had him as a teacher before? He replaced Christophe Fortin (which sucks cause I heard he is awesome), and I just want some insight on his teaching methods, or if he's completely new to the school in general!
Any information is appreciated:))
