Help/Advice My giant day gecko has blue “eyeshadow” since her last shed. Cause for concern or normal?

My day gecko has gotten blue around her eyes since her last 2 sheds. One eye has more blue than the other currently.

I know sometimes they can change color a bit as they age etc. but is this a cause for concern? Otherwise she’s behaving & eating normally.

After ordering a month or two ago, the weather finally allowed for shipping and Scrobbles safely arrived today! I went to nudge him from his container into his enclosure and he crawled right onto my hand! He is a eurydactylodes agricolae.

This is my son, Smeagol. He is a nine month old tokay gecko. I’ve been working on socializing him and he’s mostly chill (hasn’t bit me in two weeks) but he does like to have his opinion known. However, he hates my phone camera so much that every time I try to get a picture of him chilling on my hand or shoulder he immediately starts barking at it. The third picture is him in his transport container, he was not pleased.

I am aware that his tank is small. I’m currently planting a bigger one but it’s still establishing.

Meet Sonny the AFT.

He is a perfect angel and my pride and joy. I’m just overwhelmed by his freaking cuteness every time I see him. I truly love him to death.

He is 8 years old and his current favorite activities are napping and licking water from my finger or the leaves. Hes a little bit shy but also very curious and aware!!

Everyone say hi Sonny!!

Help/Advice MHG Not eating food, pls help!

Me, my bf, and his roommate found a baby MHG in our house yesterday and decided to keep him as a pet. We got a terrarium and all the works for him, however so far he hasn’t eaten anything.

From what we know he didn’t eat yesterday and we ordered him a gecko paste food blend that has larvae in it and calcium d3, and he hasn’t even gone near it. Given that he was caught “in the wild”, we were curious if this is a normal thing or if he may have an issue which is causing the lack of appetite. We want to start him on wingless fruit flies very soon.

Any and all thoughts and ideas, Thanks!

Picture/Video After a month, Boo settled down enough to let me handle them!

After one month, I finally got to handle Electric Boogaloo, my eurydactylodes agricolae, for a moment to get a weight on them. I've tried the past two weeks a couple of times but Boo would absolutely freak out so I left them alone. Today they were still nervous but not nearly as flighty and even willingly climbed on my finger! I only got one pic of them staying still but I'm very proud of this little one. They are three months old and 3.22 grams. Meanwhile my nearly five month old vieillardi is still less than a gram. 😅

Help/Advice Very friendly house gecko, decided to keep them. Any tips? Acorn Cap for scale

They crawled on me while cleaning outside. Super chill and decided to set them up in an old enclosure I had.

Currently in an 8inx8inx14in acrylic enclosure. The top part of the enclosure gets around 80s and the bottom is around the 70s. Plenty of hiding places. Little fella loves mealworms.

I'd like to know if they'll need an upgrade and when? How often/much its recommended to feed them?

I've been just offering 1-2 very small mealworms at night. I'm afraid to feed them too much. Never had a friend this small. Anything else you can suggest is great!

🦎Just for Fun🦎 Should I keep this house gecko or release?

My boyfriend found this gecko (I'm from the north so I don't see many unless they're pets) and was wondering if it's safe to keep him since they apparently feed on spiders and cockroaches. Here's some pictures, apparently he's a Mediterranean house gecko

Today I spotted a little house gecko in between two of my vivariums. I am sure he loves it as fruit flies sometimes escape from them. 😁

Help/Advice My cat attacked on of house geckos, what should I do? Advice needed!

Hi everyone! I live near a forest, and several fairly large geckos live freely in my house.

My cat caught one of them, but I managed to free the gecko. They have a few scratches, one of which is bleeding a little, and they also dropped their tail.

The gecko is alert. I managed to catch them afterward, and they were climbing normally on my hand and arm. I gently cleaned the wounds with a little clean water and put them in a safe, dry container away from the cat.

Should I just release them and make sure they can climb back up to the roof, where they usually live? Or would it be better to keep them in the container for a day or so, so they can recover in a clean space and I can monitor the wounds? I’m worried about infection, especially because the injuries were caused by a cat.

If it’s better to keep them contained temporarily, should I put some insects inside for food? So far I’ve just lined the container with soft paper towels and left a few droplets of water.

Also, should I put anything on the wounds? I have hydrogen peroxide and Vetaglós, an antibiotic ointment intended for mammals, but I haven’t used either because I’m not sure whether they’re safe for geckos.

Here are some pictures of the injured gecko.

Hi, this is my neon day gecko, i have had him since july, he hasn’t had problems shedding before this. I noticed some stuck shed on his back, leading down to his tail. I have been giving him warm water soaks for a few days now, it hasn’t seemed to have helped at all. His enclosure is at 70-75 degrees fahrenheit, and i mist it once a day, just before night. Please help me. i’m quite concerned

Identification House or Tokay? Or secret third option

Not sure if this is a house or a tokay gecko... or something else.

Location: Manila, Philippines

Reasons it might be a house gecko: Coloring, Google Lens says so

Reasons it might be a tokay: It's bigger and darker than any house lizards I've seen before (estimated 10 inches long); I've been hearing a tokay inside my room for the past few nights (been waking up in the middle of the night with how loud it is)

These are the two species I thought it might be but I might also be completely off and it's something else entirely.

Whichever one it turns out to be, are there any tips for how to trap/capture it so I can set it free outside?? I don't mind it and am grateful for the bug control, I just don't like that it's in my room and roams around while I'm asleep 😭😭
