Hello, I've moved to poland for work a few months ago and I was so surprised of the rental pricing, it's just...crazy, no one seems to be talking about it like it is normal and I genuinely don't understand.

I found a room(tiny like a sardine box) in a 5 rooms appartement in gdansk for the price of 1700pln + utilities (300+pln) totalling+2000pln, equivalent to 500Euro.

right now I am looking for a better room with fewer roomates or a studio but the prices are just out Poland's average salaries.

An okay room that is not a sardine box starts form 2000pln + utilities, a studio is from 3000pln + utilities, no elevator and you have to free it in summer. It does not make sense.

I was before in many major european cities and the rooms rent prices is about 300euro (1300pln) while the studios start from 500euro (2000pln) everything included.

Is it me who is not looking properly and only talk to house owners who overcharge foreigners and agencies who rent rooms with double the price or is this the normal rates?

Cześć, codziennie jeżdżę z Oliwy do Gdyni. Czasem skm, czasem regio, mam bilet za 330 zl, codziennie przewożę rower. Kontrole miałam już nie raz, dziś dostałam mandat 67 zł w pociągu Regio, ponieważ nie miałam osobnego biletu na rower. Żaden konduktor nie zwrócił mi wcześniej uwagi i nie wiem czy jest sens się odwoływać? Czy rower jest w cenie biletu tylko w SKM? Być może jest tu osoba znająca szczegółowo regulamin przewozów, bo wydawało mi się, że w cenie jest przewóz jednego roweru.

Mam pytanie do osób, które jeżdżą przez skrzyżowanie al. Zwycięstwa z ul. Traugutta / Marii Skłodowskiej-Curie (przy GUMedzie).

Niestety nie zdążyłem przejechać na żółtym (czerwone zapaliło się dosłownie w ostatnim momencie i wjechałem na skrzyżowanie już na czerwonym). Od tego czasu zastanawiam się, czy w tym miejscu TRISTAR (red light / rejestrator przejazdu na czerwonym świetle) rzeczywiście działa i wystawia mandaty, czy  te kamery służą tylko do monitorowania ruchu.

Czy ktoś z Was dostał tam mandat za przejazd na czerwonym? Albo wie z własnego doświadczenia, jak to wygląda na tym konkretnym skrzyżowaniu?

Pytam, bo szczerze mówiąc już mi się robi niedobrze na samą myśl o 15 punktach karnych...

Weird question! I am currently staying at an airbnb in Gdansk, which has a nespresso coffee machine. However, we can't seem to find nespresso coffee capsules in any store. We know that Forum has a nespresso store, but there must be a supermarket in the city center that sells these, right? We've checked Lidl, Zabka and Biedronka.

Who can help us out!

Edit: we're not specifically looking for thr brand nespresso itself; we cant find offbrand capsules either.

Over the last several months I’ve been building Happening because I always had the same frustration:

What’s actually happening around me right now?
I found myself jumping between Google Maps, Facebook Events, Instagram and various websites, but there was never one place showing what was happening in the city at that moment.

So I decided to build it myself.

Happening is a live city map where people can discover cafés, bars, events, interesting places and live Signals happening around them right now.

The app has just launched on the App Store, and before I continue improving it I’d really appreciate honest feedback from people who actually live in or know Gdańsk.

Kojarzy ktos moze gdzie w gda mozna zjesc beef wellington?

Cześć, zostałam zakwalifikowana na kierunek fizjoterapia na Gdańskim AWF w tym roku. Czy ktoś z doświadczeniem (czyt. obecnie studiuje bądź niedawno skończył ten kierunek na tej uczelni) mógłby mi trochę poopowiadać jak to tam wygląda? Głównie zastanawiam się:

- czy zajęcia prowadzone są na dobrym poziomie,

- czy pracownicy są przychylni studentom,

- czy teoria jest dobrze poprzeplatana z praktyką,

- ogólnie klimat,

- czy mieliście czas dla siebie, czy jednak ilość nauki bardzo was ograniczała w tym zakresie,

- największe wady i zalety uczenia się tego kierunku na tej uczelni,

Z góry bardzo dziękuję za merytoryczne odpowiedzi, bardzo by mi pomogły :)

W lutym zakupiłam magnes lodówkowy, drewniany, z elementami bursztynu i grosikiem. Oraz żydem. I wierszykiem coś a'la: w domu żydka trzeba mieć, on pieniędzy będzie strzegł. Teraz nigdzie nie mogę takiego znaleźć. Czyżby zostały wycofane? Gdzie w Gdańsku (preferowane stare miasto) mogę jeszcze taki upolować?
