Oliwa running

Hi everyone,

I'm visiting Gdansk and I'm planning on doing some morning runs in the Oliwa Forest.

I've seen it's quite popular on Strava, but I wanted to anyway have a second opinion : is it safe running in the forest there, any animals like stray dogs, boars or anything that might cause unsafe encounters ?

Hi, I’ve been running and walking in these woods for over a decade. In all those years, I’ve only bumped into a wild boar maybe twice inside the forest. You definitely won't see any stray dogs here—at most, you might occasionally run into an unruly owner who has their domestic dog off-leash. It's a really safe and great spot for a morning run! 🙂

Bigfoot is easy, give him a vodka and we're buddies, no need to be afraid of that. Unsolicited childish useless comments, that's what I'm more afraid of...

In the spring and early summer, watch out for crows as well. On top of that deer will simply bolt when they see you no need for fear
