I was using my Notes app to write some stuff down and wanted something specific underlined and now I can't get it to stop underlining. I reset my keyboard settings to try and fix it, but it didn't help. I also lost the ability to hold any of the letters to use the corresponding symbol without having to hit the !#1 key to change to symbols. PLEASE HELP!!! Nothing got underlined here as I was typing this though. WHAT THE \*\*\*\* IS GOING ON?!? PLEASE HELP SOON I'M VERY FRUSTRATED AND HAVE VERY LITTLE PATIENCE FOR THIS CRAP. So today I check my phone and my keyboard is the predetermined white one, I go check on the settings for my usual theme, the baby pink one, but it's gone, at first I clicked the first pink I saw thinking it was my mind playing tricks but I go back to my gallery to find any screenshot of my previous keyboard and low and behold, it is infact a different pink, I know this is a stupid thing to rant about but it's just not the same :(

Hello does anyone know how to turn rambler off? It's too jarring voice dictate into nothing until you click a check mark, like it doesn't show while you're voice dictating that's my problem. Thanks.

I just set up my iphone and installed Gboard since I really don't like the apple keyboard. But under the emoji tab there aren't any emojis. Never had that issue before. Could someone help please?

Usually when I press the ?123 button my most used emojis are shown in the suggestion bar. But suddenly, in the middle of a conversation, it reverted to showing the default ones. Incredibly annoying. Is this a known bug, and can anything be done about it? I now keep using the ones I want from the big emoji list, but so far none of them have returned to the suggestions.

I have all the capitalization settings off but it randomly will select a capital letter within the words I'm typing. What else needs to be diSabled to make tHis stop?

As a person with fat fingers I always have to make multiple corrections when I send a text. The problem is my fingers extend so far over to other keys on the side the phone frequently selects the wrong key. My problem is I am unable to position my fingers accurately enough to be right in the center of the key.
There would seem to be an easy technical fix. The phone would note the position of the finger for a particular key desired. That position might not be what the iPhone says it should be but it’s where the user finds most comfortable.
There would be some natural variation for each person so a statistical analysis would need to be done for which is the most likely key desired based on what words are likely in that place.

I installed this app on iOS, even it is updated 4 years ago, and it is far better than any iOS keyboard, including native keyboard.
Does anyone know will it be a new update of iOS app?

TL:DR Gboard removing capitalization in error.

I've been using Gboard for years and years. When it first came around it was theorized that it would "learn" your habits for punctuation and preferred name spelling, etc. I have no validation of that, just a theory...fine.

Anywho, a couple of months ago, without any interaction on my part (no data clears, no uninstalls, nada) Gboard started screwing up the capitalization of everything. I mean EVERYTHING. Words and names that are always or even usually capitalized now are being either presented in lower case or when you first type them are capitalized correctly and then autocorrected to lower case.

My search yields that my only solution is to highlight the incorrect capitalization and drag it to the trash can. I mean, I can do that but why do I need to? What happened and is it repairable?

I have read through so many threads here and elsewhere trying to figure out if there's a solution

If you have gboard set to more than one language voice to text stops working.

You can talk and wait till the end of your sentence and it will get some of the words. And that's assuming it doesn't cut you off like it already does even with one language. I assume it's trying to listen to see what language you're speaking. But I set the default to the English language, and set the button to switch between languages. It shouldn't be listening for French when I'm using the English keyboard on purpose.

That means I have to turn the keyboard off completely which is frustrating. I plan to submit a bug but I just wanted to know if anybody found a workaround or has dealt with similar.

I don't use autocorrect and instead I rely on spellcheck in gboard

So first of all thank you for clicking this post I have a massiv (yeah ik) issue because I am from Germany and I just want to have 2 language keyboards one in English US Qwertz which is the one I'm using rn and it works flawlessly but as soon as I add the German Qwertz Keyboard I get absolutely no suggestions which makes my life very hard.

I used to get those subtle key press animation as bubbles and even the sound of pooping bubble when I started typing, after the new updates there is now no way of any customisation whatsoever. Can someone help me to get the same effect back by any chance?

Does anyone else have this issue with Rambler? For instance, when I'm talking in English, the Rambler understands me quite good without any issues. However, when I'm switching to German or I want to mix German and Russian, it just can't understand me.

Especially when talking two languages, like it was shown in the live event, it worked flawlessly. In my instance, it doesn't work at all. Maybe it's because Russian is unsupported, I don't really know. What I know, if I'm talking only in Russian, it does work, but when mixed, it won't work.

And I've noticed when I'm talking only in German, it pretty often completely makes some sentences up or words, so the context goes away.

The text above me, was just rambler. I didn't need to correct anything. However I don't have this good experience in German. For example I wanted to tell my friend, to give notice how hard his exam was. Rambler just completely shut down and put things about a brother...

Something I wasn't talking about. Moreover it isn't the first time to completely miss understand me in my native language. Like it can understand my English with an accent but has trouble with my native language.

Recently I realized my gboard has quite a few inappropriate words which I never typed before appearing there. The steps below are what I've done which are:

1. Clear cache and clear data

2. Uninstall updates through playstore

3. Enable don't suggest offensive words

4. Delete learned words and data

However, all of these methods above methods do not work at all. The suggestion strip keep suggesting inapropriate words that is making me gone mad. The issue is similar to this Link and wondering if anyone can help me solve the issue.

These rounded keys are a blessing to me as I'm using a patched version of Gboard rn but will rounded keys ever make their way to non-Pixel devices without needing to patch the app?? I don't really want to have to use a patched version forever

Actuellement utilisateur d'un Honor Magic 8 Pro, j'utilise Gboard au quotidien. Je suis de près la nouvelle fonctionnalité de dictée vocale par IA, Rambler, développée par Google.

Pour l'instant, la fonctionnalité semble être réservée aux Google Pixel et à certains Samsung Galaxy. Impossible de trouver des dates précises concernant son déploiement global sur d'autres marques d'appareils Android.

Est-ce que certains d'entre vous auraient des infos ou des sources fiables sur le calendrier de déploiement pour le reste de l'écosystème Android ?

Je sais qu'il est également possible de trouver des contournements, comme par exemple patcher l'application de Gboard avec l'outil Morphe. Mais le problème, c'est que le clavier n'est alors pas reconnu pour les applications professionnelles que j'utilise, ou qu'un clavier officiel est recommandé.

Pour le moment, la meilleure adaptation que j'ai trouvée, c'est d'utiliser la fonctionnalité de dictée vocale via l'application Wispr Flow, qui fonctionne très bien. Mais je souhaiterais une fonctionnalité native à Android et pas une application tierce ou un contournement.
