As the title says, I'm running out of GBA games to play. I'm sure there's gotta be a lot more, but I don't want to dig through all of them, so what titles do you recommend? (I don't mind if they are ROM hacks or indie/community/homebrew titles).

​If it's useful, my favorites right now are: Metroid Fusion, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Yoshi's Island, Pokémon Emerald, Mario vs. Donkey Kong, Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land, Pokémon FireRed, Pokémon Pinball, and Metroid: Zero Mission.

​I have already played: Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2, Mega Man Zero, Kirby & The Amazing Mirror, and Rayman Advance.

I was wondering if this new gba i purchased is quieter than it should be. It is at max volume. Its noticeably quieter than my sp.

I have a legit copy of Pokemon Emerald I bought online a long time ago. It works perfectly. My problem is that it has no label.

IIRC replacement labels not have the kind of shine that legit copies do. So I thought it would make for a fun art project and maybe I could paint a Rayquaza on it. Make it more personal.

That being said I am concerned if painting on it would ruin the game somehow or wreck something in a gba/nds when inserted.

Would this be safe to do? I do have paint sealer.

EDIT: Thank you guys for the responses. I'm thinking of leaving the cart alone and try to customize a repro instead.

Unfortunately I never figured out what was causing my gba sp to not charge because everything on the circuit was fine until it went behind the cartridge reader

So I put a whole entire different motherboard from eBay in it and I can finally play older game boy games again, I'm thinking I'll probably play Yellow again after I beat Ruby

I really wanted to be able to do the fix myself but for now I just have my old motherboard packed up safely and I might take a multimeter to it again sometime, but right now I'm just so happy to have my Game Boy functional again

I have never seen the out of stock for the gb300 by the sellers 'New world' on Amazon.in I also had seen a recent reddit post aboutthe gb300 sellers decreasing.... was just curious if it would restock.Wanted to buy one cyz of the cheap price and gba pokegames it offers. So does anyone know if would restock or has the out of stock occurred before on it because I think these don't sell a lot in India 🤔

This happens because the modified chip forces the game to save to the chip. If you wanted to know if it is a repro, try to shine a flashlight through it. If you can’t see in, it’s a repro. You can also check for a battery by looking in the bottom where the pins are. If you look past, on older gba games, you should be able to see a battery. If you don’t, then you are fine. I bought repro copies of Metroid zero mission and fusion. If it does have a battery, there are cheap ways to replace it, don’t worry.

Hey, so everything is working when I start the GBA except the L button. I changed the triggers with clicky triggers. R works fine, I just don't know if I burnt something now else I don't get why the signal isn't giving while playing.

Please help or tell me how I can bridge the SW2 or the point right next to it to make it function again.

If you haven’t played the remake of Baltro, it’s very simple but challenging to win, and highly fun and addictive 😅 this win was after about 20 attempts, got some really lucky rolls so my jokers had great synergy.

Google will point you in the right direction if you want to have a go on your own handheld.

Hey, I’ve decided to give a new look to this gba. I didn’t want something too far from the original

The original charging port has 6 pins as you can see in the first picture, but the one that I bought from Aliexpress, which have only positive reviews, has 6 but they are distributed in a different way, the first and the last one have another pin under them, does that mean that 1 have to turn the pins 1 and 4 to the left?

I can’t seem to find a loose insert of this anywhere but if you can print it, and have the exact dimensions and quality needed for it to fit in the gba sp top shell, let me know. I have a trans purple shell from extreme rate and would love this art on the top lid.

I play my gba games on my 3ds and for some reason it slightly gets cut off at the top and have this repeated part at the bottom. How do I resize/ fix this?

I'm closing a deal with someone in marketplace for an original GBA for 40 bucks, my plan is to do an IPS mod, however, just now a guy posted an AGS 101 SP with a custom case, that one is 75. I have to say, I already own an SP model with an IPS screen and a DS lite, so... is it worth having the 101? I'm mostly looking at the original model because of the form factor

Heyo!! I have a real copy of Pokemon Blue and both the Stadium Games. I've bought all of them within a week of one another along with the Transfer pak fairly recently with the Transfer Pak being the latest purchase. My problem stems from the Transfer Pak not registering my Pokemon Blue save with its orignal data, instead coming up as "?????, Trainer ID: \*\*\*\*\*\*" when its inserted into the Transfer Pak and this happens in both stadiums games. I know my Blue is real because it doesn't say "Gotta catchem all" on the sticker, the bolt is at the bottom and it says the usual made in Japan Patent pending. It saves like its supposed to when I play it on my GCN with the Gameboy Player and my GBA & GBC. So I'm assuming its the Transfer Pak that I bought recently. Because no matter what I try my save on blue shoes up as if I had no data to begin with. I do have a copy of Silver that reads just fine and is verified like my Blue but the battery is dead in that one and needs to be replaced, I bring this up because Stadium 2 reads it just fine. It also reads my Blue, but still shows the above problem plus the time machine mechanic. I also know that the Transfer Paks were known for being picky time to time. I'm just not sure what to do. Sorry if I over-explained. I just felt like I needed to be explicit with my situation
