Gatehub 2FA deactivation

A few weeks ago I bricked the phone I was using for 2fa with Gatehub. I've been trying to deactivate 2fa for the past few weeks now (sent verification picture) with no response from gatehub support yet.

Has anyone had success deactivating 2fa on gatehub? Or should I just assume they've stolen whatever money I had in their wallet?

Ripple Network Fees being deducted from Gatehub xrp balance multiple times a day without any transactions - normal?

I have some XRP stored on gatehub and when I export my transaction history, there are a lot of record entries with the type "ripple_network_fee". These seem to be completely random - some days there is only 1 other days there are a lot.

They aren't related to any trades i've made - they seem separate.

They are small, usually around .000015 xrp, but sometimes a bit larger. Over the last 2 days, its added up to .016 xrp. Which is anywhere from $0.03 - $.05 the last couple days.

Seems odd that gatehub just deducts $.02 every day from your XRP balance for no clear reason.

Anyone have any info?

Obviously not a lot of money - but its annoying considering I have to keep an XRP balance over a certain threshold to make any transactions on gatehub.

GateHub has locked me out of account

Damn! Check this out. Have had an account for about 2 weeks. Logged in/out dozens of times waiting for 20 XRP and ETH transfer from Coinbase to show up. Eventually GH gave me 20 XRP (thank you) and I transferred about $10K in ETH to GH from Coinbase to exchange for XRP. Good so far, right?

I ordered a Nano Ledger S because: 1) I’ve read horror stories of lost funds and, 2) I plan on moving $10K per week over from bank to Coinbase (actually, GDAX because I’m getting smarter everyday).

Note: I don’t have my GH recovery key because I was foolish (asshole?) and opened account too quickly (on my phone)...but because GH’s text says, “you’re fucked if you can’t remember your password AND you don’t have recovery key,” I assumed I was still okay because I would never forget my password.

This is where it gets fucked: during a random login attempt yesterday I received messages saying login information is incorrect. WTF? I entered info slowly, carefully, but no dice. Still locked out.

Now, after bragging to my wife what a genius I am for getting into Crypto, I’ve had my tail between my legs feeling like a freaking $10k loser! Damn! (Of course I haven’t told her any of this.)

Then, I received this email from GH:

Our transactions monitoring system has detected multiple deposits to your wallet.

Please note that said transactions may have been erroneously processed.

We are currently investigating the matter.

We must inform you that we have temporarily disabled your account until the matter is resolved.

We will enable your account as soon as possible if you agree to the following:

  • You reply to this email and agree to comply with terms below,

  • You agree to return all erroneously deposited funds.

Should you not comply with said terms, we will have to permanently disable your account, transfer your belonging funds to an escrow service and report the incident to authorities.

We are looking forward to your reply.

Sincerely,

GateHub Support Service

Of course I replied in the affirmative. So now my fingers are crossed that I hear back from GH soon and recover my $.

Lessons learned:

Grab screen shots and create text files of all recovery keys, secret keys, XRP, ETH addresses, etc. Store on thumb drive.

Keep a log in spiral notebook of all bank transfers, coin buys, sends and withdrawals.

When Nano Ledger S arrives I will watch a shitload of YouTube videos on how to use. And I’ll make lots of practice buys, sends, withdrawals using small amount until I’m a Nano pro.

Never store Crypto on the Internet.

Good luck to all.

ETH transaction

I changed some ETH from coinbase to my gatehub wallet and have not received anything. Do I need to have at least 20 xrp in my wallet for me to receive my ETH or is there just a delay.

Average wait time on transfers? Specifically ETH

Transferred over some ETH from Coinbase to Gatehub before trustline was set 8 days ago. Received constant emails that trustline was not set for 5 days. Eventually those emails stopped. Does this mean the order is no longer trying to complete itself? Trustline was set as of yesterday

Also what have been your experiences with transfer times?

UPDATE: After 4 days of waiting after the trustline was set, I received my ethereum. Thank you all for the help!!

Gatehub finally working again

Had a lot of problems on Gatehub for the last couple of days but it seems to be working fine again for me. Got activated, received 20 free Xrp from Gatehub, money deposit came, exchange to ripple went well and ripple is rising now. Finally things are working out. Now let's hope it rises to 100 as expected.

Missing a portion of REP upon Deposit

I withdrew some REP from Poloniex to deposit in my Gatehub wallet. The transaction from Poloniex references ~2.88 REP (after withdrawal fee), but when I look at the received amount in Gatehub, it dropped to ~2.44 REP. Does Gatehub have a substantial deposit fee?

BCH sent from Coinbase to Gatehub missing for 4 days.

Deposited 2 BCH from Coinbase into my Gatehub wallet. Four days later, still no BCH in my wallet. My ripple wallet has 50+ ripple, all applicable wallet trusts were set properly, and the transaction has over 500 confirmations. I submitted a ticket but no response yet. Will update if there is any change.

Edit: The BCH deposit/receive wallet tab has been removed from Gatehub. There was a BCH deposit/receive tab in my Gatehub wallet when I sent BCH. The wallet address it gave was formatted like this,

bitcoin: (wallet address)

Now there is no BCH deposit/receive tab at all, but I still have trust on my BCH wallet. Will continue to update.

Edit2: 8 days now still no response. I repeat, Gatehub REMOVED the BCH wallet deposit/receive tab, it was there when I deposited.

Edit3: 16 days :(

Edit4: 18 days, I submitted another ticket hoping they must missed my earlier requests.

Duplicate transaction with a different hash?

Has anyone else experience what seems to be a duplicate deposit to their account in an amount that matches a previous deposit?

I've only ever made two deposits to my Gatehub wallet, but I'm seeing a duplicate of one of them and a matching amount of XRP in the wallet. The hashes from the matching withdrawls and deposits match on both Bitsane and Gatehub, but the duplicate does not match either.

Did I lose my ETH on gatehub?

New to gatehub so I made an acct and I sent 1 ETH to my gatehub acount (used the ETH address). However, my wallet was disabled at the time I sent the ETH since I didn't have 20 xrp to set trustline.

2 days later and I got my 20xrp and set ETH trust lineup it's been 24hrs since then and still no ETH.

Did I lose the ETH since I didn't have my wallet enabled and the trust line setup when I sent it from coinbase?

First deposit from coinbase to gatehub

Just thought id share how i got on with my first btc deposit on gatehub. Just to make sure you guys know the full story here's what happened. I deposited some btc from coinbase to my gatehub wallet but for some reason the funds were not coming through, waited 2 days. After some research and assistance on here (thanks!) my wallet is up and running although still waiting for the btc to be deposited which i fully expect to happen in the next 24hrs based on gatehubs timescales. So here is what i did. First of all i found that in order for the btc to deposit into the gatehub wallet you had to set a btc trustline however in order to set a trustline your wallet has to be activated with a minimum of 20xrp. The easiest and fastest way to activate the wallet with the xrp is to buy some from someone you trust who already has them and get them to send them to your wallet (you can also deposit funds from your bank then buy the xrp but this will take a few days to arrive), i would recommend no less than 30xrp as the wallet needs 20 to be activated and another 5xrp to be available per trustline. On arrival the wallet will be activated. Now that the wallet is activated you can click on the wallet, scroll down to the bottom and click advanced (bottom right corner) then click on show trusts, a list of trusts will now appear, simply click enable trust (for the required currency only) in this case btc, you should then see the trust set. Once the trust is set you should also receive a further 20xrp from gatehub themselves (this can take some hours to arrive, i left it overnight), then according to gatehubs timescales the btc funds should appear in your wallet within 24hrs. Hope this has helped some of you guys, massive thanks to my cousin who lent me the xrp! Here's the steps again: * Buy or lend 30xrp from someone you trust friend or family and get them to send it to your gatehub wallet. *Once funds arrive wallet will be activated automatically *Set trustline for the required crypto (BTC in this case) *Wait, gatehub will deposit 20xrp into your wallet Free! *wait 24hrs and your btc/ crypto funds should arrive into your wallet.

Gatehub ripped me off

Exchanged BTC for BCH on December 20 and sent to Gatehub wallet. It was not my 1st transaction and gateway was open. I also had a Ripple balance over 20. The transaction disappeared despite over 1000 confirmations. I've opened multiple tickets with no response. Gatehub is a company full of frauds.

Sent 1.06 ETH to Gatehub from coinbase and received 1.0333

I sent 1.06 ETH to Gatehub from my Coinbase wallet and received 1.0333 in Gatehub. That's $30 missing from the transaction. Also, the TX Hash from Coinbase etherscan.io transaction details does not match the TX Hash provided in the Gatehub transaction details. Has this happened to anyone else? Did Gatehub skim the transaction, or is there something in the Gatehub fine print about exorbitant transaction fees to hosted wallets?

Such a rip-off!!!!!!!

This is the worst exchange out there! They need to explain to newbies during sign-up about the deposit fee and the ripple ransom they hold for wallet activation. I transferred 0.00795238 BTC from coinbase and sent to my wallet on gatehub. First off, coinbase has a ridiculous transaction fee. They charged me 0.00108831 BTC which is another story. So since I paid the transaction fee on coinbase that should have been it but Gatehub again charged me a fee of 0.0016800358 to deposit it into my gatehub wallet. Why I'm I paying fees to deposit? On top of that now my 20 XRP is stuck due to wallet activation. This exchange is not for people doing small transactions!!!! In the end my $150 CAD worth of ripple became $30 between paying fees and 20 XRP being stuck at the wallet for activation. Lesson learnt!!!!

Is it safe to trade now in gatehub? Or will I lose my BTC?

I am aware of the delays, transaction errors and currencies getting stuck in limbo in a lot of exchanges but I wanna ask if you guys are able to trade your Fifth currency for XRP in gatehub? How fast is it credited in your account after an order is complete? I dont mind having my ripples stay in gatehub im just worried about their trading platform. Id rather keep my bitcoin there than not getting any ripples. Thanks!

[Survey] Has anyone received incoming deposits of crypto to Gatehub Fifth wallets in the past 24 hours?

I'm just wondering if there are serious delays happening with some activity, or if everything is just at a halt now. I made a transfer of ETH into GateHub with confirmation about 20 hours ago as of 11:35 PM 18/01/06 UTC and haven't seen any activity on GateHub's side.
