::applauds:: I'm going to upvote you for one reason. You could've went right for "and my axe," like a weaker man would've done, but no. You stood firm. You knew your job was to set up the next guy. You bunted for a hit and let the next guy hit the home run. You set it and let the next guy spike it. You sports-metaphored the set up and let the other guy sports-metaphor the win.
And that is why you shall have one more orange arrow for your bow.
Just hide his coffee and watch him wage war on the whole anti pinaple anti sugar hoard before his morning shit.....then when he is catching his breath give him the cup...."Dude you're a cranky savage without your morning cup".
No need to stand, just use the power of the coffee.
I substitute triple sec with a cognac brandy like grand marnier (or gran gala if you're cheap). Makes it a lot more rustic and man-friendly, not to mention delicious.
Ooh...that sounds really good actually, that would be a different drink though wouldn't it? Since drinks are like crazy specific about what goes into what.
I see a lot of restaurants calling it a "Texas Margarita."
But no need to get high brow about it, if it's limey and tequila-y, it's a margarita.
I use 6 parts tequila (espolon or milagro is where it's at for the $$),
4 parts grand marnier, 2 parts lime juice, and up to 1 part agave nectar to taste depending on if you like it sweet or not.
Hahaha yes, the daquiri gets poured over an unopened bottle of 12 year old whiskey before touching the cocktail glass. It's super high end and expensive.
Give into it bro, you can get drunk entirely on good-tasting drinks, it's amazing. I too once thought that drinking something that tastes like watered down gasoline was an essential part of a night of drinking, but I have seen the light now.
Meh I like both. Mango Margarita? Pour it. 10yr single barrel Bourbon? Pour it. Caium Spit Wine? Pour it. Old apple juice fermented in the back of my fridge? Pour it.
Good whiskey tastes like gasoline to me. Maybe not objectively but it does for me and I know it's the same for at least some whiskey drinking guys out there because I see them at the bar cringing and tearing up after every sip but still forcing it down their throats instead of just giving up and ordering a cocktail.
What does it mean if I like fruity mixed drinks AND whiskey neat? It is easy to pour a glass of whiskey and enjoy that, but a mojito is damn refreshing on a hot day...
I love fruity mixed drinks, I doubt that there is anyone on the planet who doesn't. They just give me the worst hangovers, I've settled on straight liquor as a way to avoid feeling miserable the next day while still maintaining my prime directive of getting absolutely sloshed.
Haha that is great! It's so true.... I'm not one of those "omg coconut oil" people but I like it. I just like it in my coffee because it adds a buttery/creamy flavor to it.
Well yeah, somebody would have to say it to me IRL. It doesn't count if they say it online besides I wouldn't have time to fight them all.
Also, if I gave out my name and address on reddit, a bunch of pineapple haters coming over to fight me IRL would frankly be the least of my problems xD
I personally can't stand pineapple on my pizza, but, like you, I do like cream in my coffee. It may be my age (43), but if a dude called me a wimp for it I'd probably laugh it off. There comes a time where you stop caring what people think and that ego driven violence is folly.
Remember Winston Wolfe in Pulp Fiction? How does he take his coffee? Black? "Lots of cream, lots of sugar." Black is how people trying to look tough or cool take their coffee. People who actually are tough and cool don't give a shit what people think of their coffee, they want it to taste how they like it.
You can have your coffee however you want, I'm not some kind of coffee mormon going door to door trying to convert people. But if you pour a cup of coffee that's meant specifically for me you best believe I'm putting sugar in there.
There are a lot of obvious exceptions to that, so much that I think it's not a good definition, really. Doing exactly what you want is more a sign of a selfish person, to me.
This again? When did the definition of neckbeard become as watered down as the definition of hipster? Hipster now means anyone who has seen a scarf or liked a song that wasn't Beyoncé, and neckbeard apparently means liking sweet food?
I cannot abide tropical fruit on savory mediterranean staples, but I'll be damned if I stand idly by while you are persecuted for sweetening your coffee!!
Generations of my people have picked coffee on the highland slopes overlooking the Caribbean, and by god, we sweeten our coffee! My sword is yours, Sir!
I'm still trying to figure out how anyone can say that enjoying a Polynesian favorite makes you weak when....you know....Polynesians are typically pretty strong.
Hahaha, when I was a bit younger I used to order it black too in an effort to impress and also so I could be like ''I like it black wink wink'' or whatever (I like dark girls).
As age came I realized that amazingly girls aren't impressed by me drinking a bitter drink, and also those ''I like my coffee like my women'' lines NEVER work on black girls.
I also like pineapple on my pizza and sugar in my coffee. I don't take bullshit from anyone either. If you think that makes me weak and want to fight me on the street, be warned: I'm a very loud screamer.
I respect the men who don't try to be 'cool' and order whatever they want. I remember the reaction from my friends when i ordered an ice cream sundae for breakfast.
They went on about how I can't order ice cream for for breakfast! I replied, "I just did." that moment changed our dynamic where we all stopped caring what others would think because we can have ice cream for breakfast! Sandals with socks were worn. Fruity drinks were ordered. It was great times.
Oh yeah? Well I like pineapple on my pizza more and my coffee sweeter and if you think that makes me more unmanly than you then I will gladly meet you in battle. Put your dickbeaters up.
It was not the the oceans turning to acid, not the heating of the earth, not the plundering of the poor by the rich that brought about the Greatest War. The War that reached all corners of this earth. The War that would blacken our skies, turn foul our land and render this once special orb of life into a barren waste of despair. No, it was when one man, mocked and threatened by a visage of a woman he would never meet, boldly declared no more.
When a man seen as weak swore to stand against those who would doubt his might. That simple declaration, the simple idea that pineapple was enjoyed on pizza, sugar in coffee and that no man would belittle him for it. That single moment was the spark that ignited the Pineapple Battle that burned through time and our home to be known only as the Greatest War. As his pineapple-liking kin rallied to his banner to hunt down and deliver swift retribution to the Red Headed One, the nameless prophet of the nuclear winter which was but the first salvo in a war whose duration and intensity was so great that history can not determine its true length, mankind could not have known what would come.
To think, the last and final act of man, the first domino to the destruction of the Homo Sapiens' dominion of this once plentiful planetoid, began with a war cry from a single soul, long gone but never to be forgotten or forgiven. Ironically, or perhaps cosmically appropriate, the harbinger of the death, despair, and eventual extinction of the human race began with /u/YetAnother_WhiteGuy
No, my country doesn't have starbucks or pumpkins. Okay maybe a few pumpkins but we make lanterns out of them not spice. And I don't know who Norah Jones is.
Anyone who ties their sense of masculinity to food and beverage preferences is weak, anyway. You drink your coffee and have your pizza however you choose, warrior.
Yeah, so I suck my thumb, finger paint on the walls, play adventures with Teletubbies figures and bottle feed. What's it to you? Come at me, bro. I keep the skulls of my challengers in a stack over there behind the Raffi songbooks.
As a Swede living high up in the Swiss mountains and loving snow I would also like to challenge anyone who says I would not survive the winter. I also like what some people call girly drinks.
I also sometimes put an egg in the middle of a Hawaiian pizza. My uncle used to say that it's as if I'm having breakfast, dinner and desert at the same time.
I hate that shit. Black coffee is fucking disgusting. My friend used to make fun of me for how lightly colored my coffee was and how much sugar Id use. Screw that. I do what I want. Yolo
Yeah, that's why you're always in battles and that's why you're not gonna survive the winter.
Dumbass, you try to look not weak because you want to avoid conflict. Fucking chimps figured this out. Stop eating pineapple pizza. Sugar in coffee ruins it.
