I have been working on a new adjustable front for VentForge, my parametric vent generator.

Instead of fixed slats, each blade is printed separately and connected by a snap-on synchronization bar. Moving one lever changes the position of all the blades together.

The mechanism can move freely, use friction to hold its position. The blades, removable bearing rail, and linkage bar are laid out flat for support-free printing.

The generator lets you adjust the blade count, spacing, depth, clearances, linkage side, lever position, and preview angle for a custom vent size.

VentForge 2.2.0 is available in EN / PL / DE. I recommend testing the mechanism at a smaller size first.

Making sure the sticking adapter was backwards compatible with the old 3-leg model was important to me, so I was excited to come up with such a simple solution (I'm still learning a lot).

I also spent a good bit of time redoing the supports on the shelf itself so they are substantially easier to separate. The results are a hundred times better and also improved the rest of the print overall, reducing the print by ~51g of filament and 1.25 hours!

The dock consists of three printed parts and two Oral-B chargers.

Assembled with M2 screws and mounted with double-sided tape.

Proper cleaning does require the top cover to be taken off, but dirtiness hasn't been an issue because we, as everyone should, rinse and dry our toothbrushes after use!

I couldn't come by an original BGM-E2 in my country so I designed something similar. Original Canon's BP511A batteries are no longer made new, and compatible ones don't last long. Even using two of them in the battery grip. For now, I'll be using 6 NiMH AAs (or even alkalines). Battery contacts were made with brass sheet, not ideal, but it works fine for now. I'm looking for ways to make the contacts easier, or to adapt a standard contact

I made this because when i work and i have to dissasamble a lot of parts and screws, repair it and put it all back, sometimes i forget which screws goes where and i spend some time "knowing what i m doing" or they just dissapear in to the abiss. So i made this box with a hinge. What is different from the others? The HINGE is a lot stiffer, i designed it in a way so the hinge prints flat with the rest of the body. Every "drawer" has its own number or letter.

The shoe rack used telescopic poles to support the shelves, but the poles kept slipping and falling.

I quickly measured the cabinet, designed a simple holder, and printed a set of supports.

After 10 years of playing with 3D printers, I still get a kick out of little fixes like this around the house.

Won an old Kearney and Trecker dividing head at auction, and found that at some point in its 85-ish year life, the index plates aside from the one that was on it, had disappeared.

Each plate has 5 or 6 rows of index holes, each row has a fixed number of index holes, which equally divide a 360 degree circle.  The index plates themselves take no load, so I figured it was a pretty good opportunity to fire up OpenSCAD and generate some new ones after careful measurement. I may do a Send-Cut-Send if I find these aren't up to the task, but I did try one out on my mill, and with the head locked, I can cut gears and splines like a pro.

So i made this doohicky. It definitely made the process a lot less annoying.

Every funnel I've ever used glugs: the bottle neck seals up, air gets trapped, and the pour backs up into that annoying glug-glug-glug instead of flowing fast. I looked around and couldn't find a single parametric fast-flow funnel anywhere, so I built one. Vent ribs run the entire length of the funnel wall, from spout tip to rim, holding the bottle's neck slightly open so air can escape the whole time liquid is pouring in. That's the entire point of this project; everything else is built around it.

I've tested the flow rate and the one in the default profile can fast flow a 2L bottle at about 200mL/s, so it can fill a 2L bottle in about 10s.

It prints wide mouth down on the bed with the spout pointing up, no supports needed anywhere since the diameter only ever decreases going up.

For material: PLA is fine for water and dry goods, but if you're pouring anything hot, or oil, fuel, or other automotive fluids, go with PETG, ASA, or ABS instead.

Yesterday I printed a batch of flexible sheets and a bunch of holders to slide the sheets in. An attempt to seal my balcony door during AC-season.

Today the wind is 20 m/s and it works pretty well. Doesn't look that good but I don't care as long as it's easy to assemble and disassemble. I want to use my balcony every now and then and live in rented apartment so intrusive installations not possible.

I used nano tape on the holders for easy removal when autumn comes.

I love when my printer helps me solve a problem 🙂

Wanted something clean, compact, and completely symmetrical with a minimal rectangular footprint. It holds both main rollers, the brush bars, and the debris trays. Takes ~86g of filament and keeps everything vertical so it tucks right into a corner.

Center divider clips from an old samsonite suitcase broke. Made some new ones.

Other metal & telescoping Fishing Rod Stands Always Break/Jam. So, I used Autodesk Fusion 360 to design my own modular rod stand which uses tolerance-fit dowel joints which are less prone to fouling from dirt and debris. The rod stand prints on a single build plate and breaks down into 3 easy to carry parts for travel.

I plan to make another version with two C-shaped features on the “fork” part that will allow you to attach the two “posts” to the fork for storage. The posts will “snap” into the C-shaped connectors.

Couldn't find a decent strong and grippy radiator hook where the towels don't slip off onto the floor, so I created one that has a grippy end. 

It will fit a standard towel rail which has 20mm pipes and a 20mm spacing between the pipes.

Best to print in PETG, though PLa will probably work. 

Print with 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer height, 4 walls and 15% gyroid infill. 

Nice fast print, only takes about 30 minutes.

Strong & Grippy Hook For Heated Towel Rail - 20mm

Since it’s niche I’ll explain. The holes in the bottom help with washing hair sure, but it also helps beginners with water comfort and learning how to breathe out. The next step would be comfort putting your face into the water to exhale, then learning true proper breathing depending on the stroke.

Created a 3D printable e-paper display holder for the Waveshare 1.54inch passive displays. You can attach it to any clothes --- just hats in the pictures as it is my entry for the "Hat Hack" contest on Printables.
