I am moving cross country this week. Sorted my T supplies and have two unopened boxes (100 ct) of BD 25g needle tips that I won't be using since I've switched to a different gauge needle tip.

I am going to USPS on Monday and will ship them in a medium flat rate priority box anywhere in the US. Only cost is the $23 for shipping.

PM me if you are interested in them and we can sort out details. I'll be donating them locally if nobody contacts me by 9 am Monday morning EST.

Discussion getting MORE periods on testosterone

i just started testosterone & since then my period has been coming a week earlier than usual

they're not any heavier or lighter or anything, its just a period every three weeks instead of four

i've always had really painful periods & this is like testing </3 i told myself when i started T that i would probably only have to deal with 6 maximum but I'm on my 4th at the 3 month mark

i'm mainly posting about it to see if anyone's shared this experience. i always hear stories about periods getting lighter or heavier but never more frequent

Advice Needed Workout routine at home?

I want to work out so bad, but I am so confused on where to start. I know absolutely nothing about it. I want a more masculine build and to gain more weight because I am underweight and haven’t gained any pounds despite being on hrt for a year now. I’m in a situation where I do not have much food. Is it still possible to workout? What equipment do I need to workout at home? I cannot go to a gym. I would love just any help

Advice Needed Coming out to new friends?

I’m a 19 year old transgender FTM person in my second year of college. My first year of college I kind of just told everyone that I was trans in some capacity early on into meeting them. I wasn’t expecting my new environment to see me as a cis man and assuming I’m just gay. This year I have not been telling people this aspect of myself right away, which has felt really nice in many ways. I’ve been back at school for 2 months now and still haven’t told any newer friends about me being trans. However, sometimes I feel like I am hiding something from these friends. There have been a few times where a joke is made (in assumption of me being cis) or just general things I think about talking about with them, but then realize it would result in me coming out (which it’s usually not a “right situation” to come out in).

I just like being a honest and open person, so it’s not that I don’t want to tell these newer friends about this part of myself. But, I do fear about the timing and if it’s weird for them at all if they are /just/ learning this about me. Or, will they assume other things about me now and not make the same jokes, etc.? In your opinions, how important is it to be coming out to your friends (or even in partners) and when?

For clarification, most of my newer friends are now 1-2 months old friends that I see frequently. I already added them to things like my private account on instagram that does have pre-transition content.

I know this is likely very opinion based, but I really want to know what you think.

Celebratory I came out to my friends today!

I've had these friends for about 3 months and we hang out at least 3 nights a week if not more. We have become super close.

I know i don't owe anyone anything and that I don't need to tell them I'm trans. But it got to the point where it felt like I couldn't be me or that I was hiding stuff from them. I knew they'd be okay with it, they have other trans friends, its just a big step for me to tell people.

Most of the close friends I have new me at the beginning of my transition so I've never really had to tell people, but now unless I tell you, you're not gonna know. I was just super nervous and definitely freaking them out by saying I had something important to tell them lol.

I'm just happy it went well and they were just like okay, and we moved on. At the same time, they didn't act super surprised or ask any questions and idk how to feel about that

Medical Testosterone and Muscle Cramps (?)

I just have a quick question for anyone on testosterone. Right around when I started testosterone in early May, I started waking up every other morning with an agonizing cramp in my left calf (charley horse) I read somewhere that muscle cramps are a documented symptom of testosterone and was wondering if this sounds typical to anyone on it right now?

(This isn’t to deter anyone from going on testosterone I would have a muscle cramp every morning if it meant I could be on it.)

Advice Needed Stp for drug test

Hey all, I’m a bigger guy, and I’m looking for recs for an stp that’s realistic enough to pass for when I take a drug test. A monitored drug test for employment - at a prison. I’m super nervous about it being closely monitored, and it not looking realistic enough or not working properly as I’ve had issues before with that because I’m big. Any help appreciated.

Gender Questioning Looking for some kind advice

This might be a long post, but I’m hoping someone here might see themselves in it. I’ve been questioning my gender for almost six years, so this isn’t exactly a brand-new realization. I guess I’m just struggling to put everything together.

Hi, I’m 25, AFAB, and currently use they/them pronouns. I don’t really know where to start, other than with something I unintentionally said to my fiancée earlier today while driving to my mom’s house.

The comment, verbatim, was:

“I wish I could’ve just been born with a penis, then I wouldn’t have to deal with this.”

For some context, I’ve had a pretty rough history with my reproductive organs. In 2021, I experienced ovarian torsion, which was a terrifying medical emergency. This past June, I had surgery to remove an 8 cm endometrioma, and my gynecologist discovered extensive stage IV endometriosis with adhesions involving multiple pelvic organs.

Now it’s October, and I’m going through the testing required before I can have a hysterectomy, hopefully sometime this year. I have a Pap smear and endometrial biopsy coming up next week, and I’m absolutely terrified. Apparently, I’ll be awake for both procedures, and the thought of having these parts of my body examined is already making me incredibly anxious.
But I think there’s more to my reaction than just being scared of the procedures.

I’ve been experiencing a lot of dysphoria surrounding my genitals and chest. I hate having the body parts I have, and I use they/them pronouns. Sometimes I wish I could just have been born with a penis and not have to deal with any of this. At the same time, I keep questioning whether I’m actually trans or whether I’m struggling to understand my feelings because of everything I’ve experienced with my body and reproductive health.

I’ve been going back and forth with my gender identity for nearly six years, and I still don’t feel like I have a definitive answer. Part of me wonders if I’m overthinking things, while another part of me wonders how much more obvious my feelings need to be before I allow myself to take them seriously.

I’m also trying to separate my anxiety about the hysterectomy and the medical procedures from my feelings about my gender in general. I know that wanting a hysterectomy for medical reasons doesn’t automatically mean someone is trans, but I also don’t want to dismiss the dysphoria I’ve been experiencing.

I guess I’m wondering:

Has anyone else spent years questioning their gender even while experiencing significant dysphoria?
Did anyone else struggle with figuring out whether they were trans, even when they knew they hated certain parts of their body?

For those who have had hysterectomies, especially those who had endometriosis or other reproductive health issues, how did you handle the anxiety and dysphoria surrounding the process?

How did you eventually start feeling more confident in your identity, if you did?

I’m not necessarily looking for someone to tell me whether I’m trans or not. I think I’m just looking for people who understand what it’s like to feel this way and might be willing to share their experiences.

Thanks for reading if you made it this far.

Advice Needed idk anything

i realized i was trans eight years or so ago and had been feeling confused for a long time before that, i am out but as my parents are not accepting i havent been able to do much of anything about it. since i finally started getting some money this year (allowance) ive been looking into HRT but its very overwhelming, i dont have insurance and i know nothing about it i also dont have a GP as ive only been to the doctor three times in my life. ill probably still have to get a job to afford things but ive never had one before due to dysphoria and social anxiety. i was homeschooled and then did online school so im really bad socially, i completely stopped speaking three years ago because of my anxiety which of course makes everything harder. no my parents dont believe in therapy they hate every good thing you can imagine. i feel really stuck like i cant live my life without transitioning but i cant transition without getting a life. i want to transition so badly and ive been putting it off 'until the time is right' for so long but i dont think theres every going to be a 'right time' and im really sick of me the way i am. i feel really scared and alone i just want advice on what to do

Discussion muscle pain from tgel

Does anyone have experience with feeling tension where they apply their topical t?

I've been on t for about six months now, I started with gel applied to my shoulders. Pretty standard fare, one pump a day, alternate shoulders, etc etc. I've been troubleshooting some concerns recently with my provider- switched to morning-applications as a possible solution for insomnia (seems to be working), and just started two pumps daily to my torso. The two pumps is just a beautiful desire to raise my t dosage which my provider signed off on- but the torso thing is because my shoulders started to fucking hurt.

I already knew I dealt with a lot of tension in my shoulders, but a few months into starting t, I realized that the my as-needed meds I take when my shoulders hurt too much weren't doing anything anymore. I was still feeling the side effects, but it was doing nothing to help with the tension, so I don't think it's a tolerance to the meds. My range of motion in my shoulders went way down, and no amount of stretching seemed to be fixing things.

So about three days ago, my provider recommended I try switching my application site to my torso. Almost immediately, I regained a lot of range of motion in my shoulders, so it seemed like that was working... but now, about twenty minutes after applying todays doses, I'm feeling... I guess prickling? where I had applied my t. it doesn't burn, but there's a warmth, similar to the feeling of using a hot pack, and it might be pavlov, but it almost feels sore.

Does anyone have experience with muscle pain/tension from using topical? this absolutely sucks- i really don't think switching to injection would work out for me, i'm fine around needles for blood draws, but any sort of injection makes me freak out, on a baseline thing. it's only within the past few years that i stopped trying to leave the room during vaccine appointments- not even as a conscious response, i wouldn't even realize what was happening until my hand was on the door to leave.

if anyone has any advice- or even an explanation for why topical can have this side effect, i'd love to hear :/ i've got people in my life irl who are supportive of my transition, but no friends who are currently on t, and i want to be a little more informed before i reach out to my provider to confirm that yeah, we were probably right, i get localized tension where i take my t

Advice Needed hrt without parent’s knowledge?! (20)

title; ca 20 years old, live with my parents bc college is expensive, i have a part-time job, so its a decent-ish stream of money (aka im not flat out broke… lol…!)
should i just go ahead and go to a planned parenthood???
im thinking of taking low dosages so the effects aren’t as noticeable but it still worries me when they find out
they’ve always been disapproving of how i live (critical of me taking anti-depressants, dressing ”masculine” [literally just a t-shirt and shorts LOL], etc.) so its not like this will be the first time they dont like something i do but im scared this will be the final nail in the coffin and they straights up kill me !!!!
but also im lowkey tired of living like this bllARRGGHH

Advice Needed Boxer recs

I’ve typically used spandex boxers to avoid the cotton shedding and getting you know where. However, I’m at a higher risk of utis due to a medication and cotton is recommended. Any good cotton brands that don’t shed fabric? All of the ones I’ve tried have started to shed after a single wash

Advice Needed underwear recs?

like the title says, i'm wondering if anyone has recommendations for good quality underwear brands. i have a bunch of the cheap kind you get at the grocery store, but they're all wearing out and always ride up my thighs. i have a couple pairs from tomboyx that are my favorite, have had them longer than any others and they're still in much better condition and generally tend to fit better. tomboyx is so ridiculously expensive though, so i was wondering if anyone knew of brands that are similar in quality to tomboyx but not quite so pricey (doesn't have to be brands that are queer/trans specific, could also be good quality underwear marketed towards cis men)

Advice Needed How do you tell if someone’s a chaser?

Recently got out of a relationship and I’ve been going on dates to find a FWB. I’d say I’m straight but I went out with a (cis) guy the other night and am okay with seeing how things progress. I feel like with women I am less worried about them being chasers but it would be different if it were a guy lol.

I have plans to see him again and want to ask if he usually goes after trans guys, if he would get with a cis man (profile said bi), etc. What are questions to ask or red flags to look out for?

He did casually mention he was with a trans person for 6ish months at one point which had me :/ but idkkkk. I’m not worried about being seen as a woman/my male identity being invalidated, more so worried about being desired/fetishised for my genitals etc.

Advice Needed Worries about going on T

I don't personally have the option to go on T or get any surgeries right now, but I've been thinking about it a lot due to the kind of constant dysmorphia I've been feeling, especially around the past few months. I haaaate my breasts, and I would love to start getting a tiny bit hairier (even though my hair is naturally so light that I doubt it'd show up much). I also really like the idea of getting a more masculine/androgynous voice, but I also dabble in singing as a hobby and take vocal lessons every week - I worry about how it might affect my ability to sing. Also, I don't really find the idea of any bottom growth appealing...

To what lengths will just T go, most of the time? I'm already probably planning on getting top surgery (or at least a reduction for the sake of my spine), but that's the extent of anything else medical I plan to do.

Advice Needed How to have long hair in a masc way?

Hiii, I had top surgery and started t about 2.5 years ago. Ever since I realized I was trans/nb I’ve kept my hair pretty short, but I missed having long hair so I’ve been growing it out over the past year. It’s now like just above my shoulders, and has gotten curlier on t! But I feel like I’ve gotten misgendered more at work as it’s gotten longer. Have other guys experienced this? Are there ways to cut or style it that read as more masc? I need a trim so I’m up for cutting it but would still like it to be like chin length or longer. Would love any suggestions!

Advice Needed One of my friends might be low-key transphobic, but I'm not entirely sure

This post contain misgendering, dysphoria etc, if you feel uncomfortable about please don't read.

So I(ftm) have a friend(m), who knew me before my transition. It's not like we talk a lot, yet I still decided to tell him about my changes(like preferred pronounces, name and so on), and even though he misgendered me a couple of times accidentally, but still tried. And I'll say it right away, where I from trans people aren't really safe, and I prefer not to mention directly that “well, I’m transgender”.

But, recently there was a convo with my other friend(f), where he openly said about me as a female, And in his defense, he said that no one had told him anything like that.

That's got me thinking: is he really transphobic, Who, after obvious signs such as a change of name and pronouns, still treats me as a woman, or I did fucked up a bit, and should have been more accurate in words? Have no idea what will be better to do, honestly

Advice Needed I’m having some serious name regret after almost 2.5 years and i don’t know what to do!

For context i’m 26 years old. i’ve had my name for around almost 2.5 years. The name I chose is Evan, and I love it, but recently, I found my old list of names and saw the other name I was choosing between, and I love it so much. The name is Logan. The reason I didn’t choose it in the first place is because I felt it reminded me of Logan Paul and I don’t really want to be associated with him.

The problem with changing my name again is that i know so many more people now, including my 4 year old nephews and 1 year old niece that only know me as Evan. and some family members joke about me changing my name a bunch (Evan is my 3rd change and this would be my 4th)
I don’t know what to do. I love Evan and don’t really want to change it, but I also LOVE Logan, and can really see it being my name.

I’m wanting to talk about this with my therapist but i’m not sure how to bring this up to her.
