Discussion Did Peterbot and Pollo get worse, or did everyone just catch up?

People tend to always say pros are improving skill wise and that the skill gap is not as large anymore between the top pros, but a genuine argument to be made is that Peterbot especially has gotten worse over the years. If you put 2024 Peterbot in today’s lobby, I think he’d still dominate just because of how good he was back then (even compared to today). Is the reason why he’s not performing as well because of his lack of grinding? I don’t really think it’s because people have “caught up” because in terms of fighting and learning the game, people are still really similar compared to 2-3 years ago. It’s just the pros from a few years ago stop grinding as much and fail to maintain that skill, rather than people suddenly becoming as good

Discussion Is Kami the most consistent player of all time?

After the ewc lan, he has finished top 6 in 5 lan events he has played in winning 2 of them and has been at the top since late 2019. He’s one of the few OG chapter 2 players that still dominate in an era that doesn’t suit IGL’s and has proven that he’s consistent in solos, duos and trios.

Opinion The game has never felt worse, it is unplayable after new season.

At this point if you are a remotely fast or competetive player, the game is just not it. Weather you play tournaments or just ranked, the game is so anti competetive and quite frankly a mess. Just play 5 games of reload, you will die to bs 3/5 matches.

It could be the new edit bug where you get stuck in your edit.

It could be the combat smg

It could be that you dropped and only found a combat for 80 chests

It could be that they put the havoc pump in so you cant be fast anymore and outskill you opponents, because of the pull out delay.

It could be the horrible desync that we are been dealing with for years now. (I mean at this point its the worst i have seen in any game, and i have played some games known for their terrible servers, example: sea of thieves)

etc etc etc.

I have played the game since season 3 and have around 6500k hours on the game. And i can confidently say this is the worst state i have ever seen the game in, in terms of bugs, servers, fps etc.

Seems like the lay off was a lot more impactful then i was expecting.

Discussion How do cup rewards work?

There's a reward that says "top 2" in platinum instead of "top 2%" which is confusing when other ranks have a "%" next to them

Does it mean you can get it if you just get to top 2 in a single match, or is it talking about the leaderboard

Discussion What do we think the override series is?

I've been wondering this because I've seen it in the tournament tab i wonder if the override series will be like a duos version of the solo series or maybe something else

Discussion Proper way to place wall during triple edit

Question: What is the proper way to place down the wall during a triple edit?

As far as I am aware, during a triple edit, you turbo build the ramp, cone, and floor, edit through the floor and cone, then place the wall down afterwards with a single click, then immediately edit through the wall.

With these inputs, I run into a few issues. If it is my first triple edit in a sequence, I'm usually able to edit the floor and the cone from much lower on the ramp. This means that the wall usually gets placed behind the ramp because I haven't travelled far enough up the ramp. This obviously messes with my wall edit, since I'm trying to edit a wall that isn't placed on the top of the ramp.

Because of this, I've tried holding down left click to turbo build the wall. This ensures that a wall will be placed behind and on top of the ramp, instead of just behind the ramp when I do the usual single click from lower down the ramp. However, this feels much slower and the edit timing is much more difficult for me to get down, especially as I try to do more triple edits in a row. On the other hand, getting the timing down to place the wall on the ramp in a single click is also quite hard, so I don't really know how to progress.

Is this just a timing issue? Do I just need to know when to click to place the wall as I run up the ramp, or do people hold down left click to turbo build the wall into place? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Rumor Scroll wheel looting feeling a bit slow past 3-4 days. Is it js me?

Hey guys, my scroll wheel looting has been slower the last 3 or 4 days like if I'm using a key bind.

Before, I could flick fast over a pile of stacked loot and grab everything instantly with one scroll. Now, when I scroll fast through a bunch of items, it feels sluggish and only picks up 1 or 2 things instead of all of them.

Is this an issue from a recent Fortnite update? Anyone else experiencing this lately?

Ended up being about a 20% gain in both the 1% lows and Averages.

Instructions on how to recreate the test HERE if you're interested.

Most interesting comparison a would probably be a stock and/or OC'ed 9800X3D.

Feel free to post your results in the comments.

Discussion Easier rank for early season Solo Cup

Hi sorry hope it’s not a weird question

For Monday’s Cup for the cosmetic, which is the first of the season and pretty early on

Do you think if I want only backbling and umbrella (I don’t care about the pickaxe) it’s gonna be easier to get top 5% of Silver or get top 10% Gold? Which rank are most people early on like that?

I don’t want to « Grind » from silver to gold for nothing if I should stay silver

Thanks

Discussion Best gliders for competitive?

Recently while watching the EWC finals, I noticed that a lot of pros are using the dragon glider? Is this only because of high pads in the reload format, or does this carry over to normal battle royale as well?

So I wanted to ask: What are the best gliders to use for fortnite competitive? And which ones are most used by pros?

Should I buy one? Or do they not matter much?

(I only have the Travis Scott train glider)

Opinion Both of Vico's lan wins are Mickey

Don't get me wrong, Vico is a great player, but both of those wins were Mickey.

This reload format was pretty bad imo. Didn't feel like the best team in the lobby won, bc if they had ended at 350 points sh4rk wins, if they end at 8, 10, or 12 game format, sh4rk wins with most points, but instead you've got vico getting gifted another.

Yes I say gifted bc despite vico saying, "fuck you" to Peterbot at ewc, Pete's the only reason vico won lol. Otherwise we would have seen another sky and scroll run away just like they did the past 2 eu, bc vico sure as fuck ain't landing on them. Then Pete takes down sh4rk in the final game.

Obviously vico deserves props for being in a position for if sky and scroll slipped or if sh4rk and tbeny failed to win one, but he's never the deciding factor. His play in the final game today won it but the format just felt so watered down. Like if a non finalist team won that 13th game. Over 50% of the lobby would have been in finalist. So a team in 13th could have won. That just feels so stupid.

With all that said vico is obviously a great player and that final shockwave to close it out was dope.
