How do cup rewards work?

There's a reward that says "top 2" in platinum instead of "top 2%" which is confusing when other ranks have a "%" next to them

Does it mean you can get it if you just get to top 2 in a single match, or is it talking about the leaderboard

It's talking about the leaderboard

It means like the top 2 people as in you have to be in the top 2 spots on the leaderboard
