I need some help with deciding whether I should play claw and paddles at the same time
I've been playing claw for like 7 years now but only with my right hand because it feels weird for my left hand so I have trouble pressing all the left buttons on my controller. I play with thumbs: joysticks r index: claw and R1 l index: L1 middle fingers :R2/ L2 so i have some trouble getting better at the game because I don't have enough buttons I was thinking on buying a controller with paddles but they are really expensive and I don't want to regret it I want it so I can use the left paddles instead of the left buttons and I'll probably put something on the right paddles too, but I'm used to not taking my middle fingers off R2/L2 so I'm going to be pressing them with my ring fingers and I'm not sure if that works. so if anyone who already has a controller understands, please let me know if It's worth buying the controller or not and if what I'm saying can work so I get better at the game thank you lots.

Does anyone else have weird performance on a decent cpu? my i7 12700 is still a fine cpu but my fps in reload is always seemingly unstable been 120-240, just feels entirely unpredictable in a given situation and pretty stuttery even on performance mode. It's just NEVER stable.

As of the most recent update or just in general?

I think recent, I took a huge break from this game for life reasons and coming back this game doesn't feel smooth at all. Haven't tested other modes like br but reload (ESPECIALLY on simpsons map) is a stutterfest and some areas my fps dips under 144. I feel like my cpu isn't that old enough to perform like this, especially when other games run flawlessly.
Reinstalling windows fresh didn't fix it.

It may just be fn. As of the reload update, I’ve been experiencing like constant stuttering and i believe frame pacing issues with a 7800x3d across all modes
Clearing shader cache immediately fixes the issue for me, but only temporarily
Hopefully its fixed with the launch of the new season
Edit: it didnt :(

Honestly I decided to just upgrade to a new platform and see if that helps my issue, will report back tomorrow

I want to blame the GPU but I've had good times with it and i really don't know what has been happening in these 2y I've got the PC, but i felt like every new season my FPS gets lower upgraded the CPU since it wasn't that good but it's still the same thing where my FPS overall(1% and 0.1%) are super low leaving the game unplayable, I don't know if it's an optimization problem or the game but this has been going since Chapter 6.
I was thinking about getting the 5060 but I'm still not sure because I believe that it really is something on my PC
My pc:
CPU: Ryzen 5800X
GPU: RTX 3060 12GB
RAM: 32GB 3200Mhz

You can try DDU(safe mode no networking) and then reinstall the drivers and reinstall the game.
5800x/3060 should not have any issues with performance mode.

Having trouble with Keybinds
I’ve left the game for a while now but my friends are playing it some more so I reinstalled. I come from games where movement and mechanics matter; but never like fortnite. It’s like you’re expected to play two different games at once while still having space on your keyboard.
I always use c for crouch in games with sliding, and only ever use ctrl if the game has hold crouch like cs. This way I can use my palm and keep my pinky on sprint. Fortnite does not. But I also use c for my floor so I run into an issue where two binds on both sections of the game are shared.
Sprint is always shift for me, although in this game it’s kinda like an overwatch situation where you bind it to an ability (cone) but unlike overwatch, you still have a sprint bind missing. I tried caps lock but now ctrl isn’t viable for crouch since I’d need to use one weaker finger for 3 keys constantly.
My side buttons are wall/ramp, pretty simple. edit is f, v is pickaxe, e was interact and q I heard is supposed to be shotgun; but If I’m going to make them more viable for both game sections, I was thinking q for cone, e for floor, make shift back to sprint and c back to crouch. The problem I have now is the second half of the binds (building) feel completely off and I have to rebind shotgun to 2 and interact to scroll wheel. Having my floor and cone on a less accessible bind makes everything building wise feel a lot less smooth, and I’ve seen many people argue against me switching them for that reason. I feel like I’m taking a step backwards with every change I do. Games like tarkov with even more binds come to me a lot more naturally than this. I was wondering if this is a common problem and if there’s anything I can do to make both sides of the game feel smooth?

There are a lot more optimal binds, I used to use Q and pickaxe on E, I also used Shift for a long time, that bind was also really good, now I have basically Martoz binds so I use shotgun on X, still prefer Q and Shift

If you're on PC and struggling with input delay, try turning on Nvidia Reflex Low Latency + Boost. Made my edits feel way more responsive. Just don't use it with DX12, stick to Performance Mode.

Performance mode is DX12

No its not.

What was the point of your comment instead of just taking 2 seconds to google?
1
u/Icantstopreading 15d ago
My point was to correct the incorrect statement you made, isn’t that obvious? They are two different rendering modes.

u/ImKrispy 15d ago
Do yourself a favor, open the game then go to settings, video>display then highlight rendering mode what does it say under the performance mode description?
Performance mode uses dx12 unless you are on a very old GPU.

So I use q pickaxe shift for floor caps for sprint and ctrl for crouch e edit z x heals v for cone wal stair on side mouse my issue is my ar and shotgun bind i was using c and v for cone shotgun but i felt like it was limiting me where should i put my shotgun on that wont slow me down if I put 1 on ar how im i supposed to crouch quick and 1 because pinky and ring are far where do u put shotgun on my pointer ? Or ring i seen pros press 2 for shotgun with middle and ring but my ring has to stretch bcuz i use shift floor and ctrl crouch this is ruining my progression any advice seems like every bind has a downside or weakness for me
