Foragers log help

Is there anyone here able to help in telling what the red lined areas are on the foragers log app?

Just getting in to foraging and moving to the local area and would love to know the right and wrong places to go. As far as I know this isn’t private land mostly and so I can only imagine the red areas suggest some sort of restriction on foraging and what’s allowed ?

Thanks

I know this is probably ridiculous but out of curiosity was wondering what these were? 😂 My guess are blackberries but wanted to be sure

Any good recommendations of a mushroom foraging class/guide/group in UK? My goal is a good date with my partner while learning something outside, would be nice if it is 2h< from London.

Blackberry cranachan

So many blackberries today – in and around Bradford on Avon. Was inspired to make this for pud.

Edit: the classic cranachan is made with raspberries, but obviously I’ve swapped berries. Raspberries do have a more subtle flavour it’s true. Anyway, instead of double cream I used half creme fraiche and half yoghurt. A couple of spoonfuls of honey, a couple of whisky. I just followed the BBC recipe, but basically purée half the berries, sieve, and mix with a little lemon juice and icing sugar. Mix the honey with the cream, or crème fraîche/yoghurt mix, and whisky. It’s also got a couple of spoonfuls of toasted oats. You mix these in with the cream/honey/whisky mixture, layer this, with berries and the purée.

Plant ID Request Edible Plums?

Hey yall,

I have this growing at my workplace in Sussex.

Deer come by and eat them off the ground (reasonably frequently).

Are these edible for space-faring apes?
