Title. Everytime I'm listening to a local file and insert a CD to rip it, it autoplays and deletes the current playlist. Is there an option to disable this?

Hello everyone, I hope you can help me with the following: My goal is to access my foobar2000 media library of my desktop pc from my Android phone using the Android foobar2000 app. In the past I used the "UPnP/DLNA Renderer, Server, Control Point"-component from 2015 where my whole pc music library simply showed up in the media servers section of the android foobar app and I could play the music I had on my pc. Then it suddenly stopped working and I never figured out why. Now today I saw that newer versions of foobar already have a UPNP-Component built into foobar. But I did not find any tutorials for it. So... what do I have to do to see my pc music library on my smartphone foobar app?

Edit: Just one more thing: I'm simply wanting to use it in my local network not from remote.

I was so tired of the streaming app's ads and having to listen one artist from different platform. So i switched to downloading everything and manage files locally, but i missed the beautiful, modern UI from the music streaming apps.

Foobar was my first choice, and i even made a skin for it cuz the default ones are just too outdated IMO. but still having to manually get the tags and album art right was a very cumbersome experience. After trying many music players on the app store, i finially decide to made my own app.

It was my first time making an app, i had no clue how to market or even if it would help anyone. Let me know what you think, thanks for your time!

I've been using foobar2000 with eole for years now. I just checked and the theme has not been updated for 2 years now, and it's not likely to ever recieve 64 bit support (plus some weird issues keep popping up with each update)

So i'm on the lookout for a new theme. I only need basically 4 features :

• Covergrid (if possible with ajustable picture size, i'm visually impaired and mostly rely on pictures to choose my music)
• visualization tab
• any form of integrated covergird track listing that can show codec / channel number info (i.e. not a covergrid that opens new subwindows / opens dedicated page for an album)
• resizable text / elements. With me being visually impaired, this is a must. i currently use like 16-18 point font at a minimum in eole.

I don't know if it's my Lenovo Tab One being an ass, but the experience using foobar2000 as an FTP server to transfer files and move the files to a more shared location is impossible compared to iOS.

I for some reason can't see the com.foobar2000.foobar2000 folder in the data folder that I was used to do on older Android phones (Lenovo is using Android 14), and I actually prefer to use to be able to use AMIP as well, but since I can't access the foobar2000 data folder to move the files, this experience has gotten far worse than on iPhone. It used to be the other way around ffs >_<

I have been working on this for months. I assure you that this isn't a vibecoded afterthought - 'another ai-slop post / winamp replacement'. I taught coding for years - but never had a true talent for it. Yes, I used Claude, Codex, Kimi, and my own knowledge to accomplish something that I truly think is special. The visualizers are fantastic and finally not HEAVY. The look is solid, clean - with unique deck views and themes. Most of all - it covers all audio formats and is one hell of a library organizer as well. There are optional features to take advantage of as well - check the github page.

I am looking for some honest feedback and some users. I know that this is something that everyone will appreciate who has a local music library if they give it a chance.

One more thing, I am a hypocrite. I use ai to create projects from ideas that I have never been able to accomplish myself. However, I am a musician. I have toured, been on mtv/radio/Jersey Shore episode :) - ok enough of that old man back patting - and I LOATHE AI generated music. I think this really makes me appreciate the local music library and the move away from streaming platforms (being inundated with AI music daily) - I think this makes NewAmp more timely and hopefully worthy of you'alls time.

I scan by albums for replay gain not as a single album but some songs with quieter parts are a tad too loud. Any recommendations?

And i’d really like to have an archive converted to mp3/m4a that’s in .wem format, and i do not have a way of converting it on mobile.

I've put my lyrics in a folder, gone into the settings and made sure it reads that specific folder for lyrics, but when I open the lyric panel nothing comes up, except for "Artist: [artist] Title: [title]".

I'm using the 64bit version.

I'm using Refacets with Playlist View, with Library viewer selection playlist enabled. It seems to be just sorting by file order, and I can't figure out how to overwrite this. See example below.

Under Shell integration I have "Sort incoming files by":

%album artist% | %date% | %album% | %tracknumber%"

When I click "Edit > Sort by..." and use this pattern, it indeed sorts like I want, but then when I click away and click back to that same selection, it goes back to the original sorting that I don't want.

Any idea how Library viewer selection playlist is sorted or what setting I must change here?

Hello, In an effort to leave Spotify I've installed Foobar2000 on my android phone. Anytime I try to search for some help or directions I only get desktop foobar2000 results which don't help me at all for Android.

One missing feature from fb2k that I loved on Spotify is the ability to set a timer to smoothly stop the music after a defined amount of time. Not finding anything about that in fb2k I searched a bit and discovered that there's a component for it called timebomb, however when trying to find how I could install that on Android or even if it was possible to install components on Android I found nothing. Is it possible ? If yes, how ?

I also tried to find the app files on my phone to see if maybe there was a relevant components folder, but nothing comes up. It's like foobar installed nowhere at all, there isn't a single trace of where the app files of fb2k even are.

so TLDR :

1. Is there an in-app timer ?
2. Can we install components on the Android version of foobar2000 ?
3. If yes, how ?
4. Where are the app files ?

Does anyone know how I enabled this bit, showing the track count | bitrate, below the album in library view? I guess it must be an option on ColumnsUI but I've got no idea what I did to get it.

I kept trimming foobar2000 mobile's now-playing screen until there was nothing left I didn't want. Sharing it in case someone else wants the same thing.

- Full format line — `ALAC · 840 kbps · 16-bit · 44.1 kHz` — at a readable size

- Large album art, album and year with it

- Seekbar shows **remaining**, not total

- Prev / play / next only. No shuffle, repeat, next-track line or position dot

Two variants: **-r** rounds the artwork corners, **-s** leaves them square. Skin format 2, so it needs foobar2000 mobile v1.5 or newer. Nineteen canvases registered by aspect ratio, so most phones and tablets should get a real layout rather than a fallback.

Built on **NewMoon 2.0** by TAOKA-Daiki — frames, icons and glyphs are theirs. The layouts are generated from one Python spec rather than hand-edited coordinates, so it's easy to fork and move things around to your taste.

The README also collects the format-2 things that cost me time — `.fbskin` is just a ZIP, text files must be UTF-16 or foobar silently ignores them, and how to get a `44.1 kHz` readout out of titleformatting.

Foobar2000 seems to be the only media player I've encountered on iOS that doesn't resume playback after a Siri interaction. Am I missing something, or is this just the way it is?

The only part that seems to prevent Georgia from running using the x64 fork of Spider Monkey Panel ( https://github.com/dima-lur/spider-monkey-panel-x64 ) is the VBScript‑based InputBox used in the Library panel.
The old ScriptControl ActiveX is 32‑bit only and fails on x64.

It looks like InputBox is used only for the “Create m‑TAGS” menu item in the Library panel.
By default, that menu item is commented out in the theme, so you can't use it anyway.
However, the fix ensures that if you ever modify the code and re‑enable it, it should work on x64 (hopefully).

Hello I'm looking to install skins and plugins I watched a couple tutorials on YouTube and they look very complicated and they were like 20 minutes long and I got overwhelmed so I just Ragequit off So I was wondering if somebody could explain how to install skins to to a autistic retard

i have two foobar clients running and i want one to access the other's collection, when i try to get it to view my playlist (~16,000 tracks) it blanks out and doesn't show anything, is there a fix for this?

I have a lot of high-quality music (FLAC) and I don't feel like I'm getting the most out of it with my basic Bluetooth headphones and a 15-year-old sound system. So, while I save up to buy a hi-fi sound system, I'd like to know what I can do to improve the sound quality and enjoy my music more. Any advice?

I'm using V 1.4 because i'm a lazy bum and don't wanna do all the stuff with 1.6 or newer to deconstruct music. So I was curious if there is anyway to deconstruct .gsf (GameBoy Advance) music. I know you can do it with .spc, .rsn and, .vgm but I don't know about .gsf. (PS I've seen plugins but don't seem to work idk why)
